L'ETAP'CORTELINE

An unusual stopover location which we really enjoyed. We were impressed with the view of the owners house , grounds and our accommodation which was decorated to a high standard , American style. The hosts were a very friendly, relaxed and helpful couple. We loved meeting their little dog Romeo in the morning. Seeing their rabbits free roaming the gardens was lovely. The car and our bikes felt very secure , there are gates which are locked unless you need to leave. The town was lovely and definitely worth a visit. Vibrant at night.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. We were disappointed that the owners American Diner was closed on the night we stayed but Bruno recommended a fabulous restaurant in the town. Bruno & his partner were having their night off which we totally understand.

Beautiful house and large, stylish room for 3. Bruno could not do enough to help but also left us to enjoy the peace and freedom of the lovely house. Visit from the family dog was a lovely bonus too. Restaurant wasn't open so we ate before checking in. Even on a Sunday afternoon we managed to find food in the town (a few km away). Bruno opened the bar opened for us to buy a bottle of wine and plenty of options to sit in garden and relax.

Quirky themed B&B, great host with good English and sense of humour. There was free on site parking, a good breakfast spread, and the room was clean and comfortable with an excellent shower! Every where you look in this B&B there is something to see. Would stay again if in the area.

Personal preference would always be for the bathroom to have a door and this was a curtain, but wouldn't stop us staying again!

The owners are so friendly and welcoming! We arrived with our two little kids and they were also very welcome. There’s a pond with croaking frogs, a cute french bulldog and rabbits in the garden. The house is from the 16th century and was designed with lots of love and good taste. The beds are super comfy and dinner & french breakfast were tasty! There’s also a small kitchen we were allowed to use, which was perfect to clean the kids drinking bottles and to cool our water over night. We loved it!

Fine, buffet breakfast with fresh croissants, fruit etc. serve yourself coffee with Nespresso machine There is American 1950s theme in the restaurant and also more subtly in the room. All very clean, comfortable, very tidy and well decorated. A welcome stop not far from the autoroute. We also had a meal, excellent burger and frites. Friendly welcome.

Great B & B. Bruno the host was excellent, after a horrendous journey to get there I was just looking for a comfortable bed and that's exactly what I found... Great nights sleep. Followed by a great buffet style breakfast in a classic American diner. Top draw, lovely location beautiful surroundings and secure private parking. The acid test with a B&B is would you go back. The answer is a definite Yes... 👍👍

Very friendly owner, beatiful and clean room, nice surroundings and conveniently located near the highway. Also about 10-15 mins drive to the nearest village with plenty of choice for restaurants.

The mattress on the bed was probably a bit older, because it sagged and so created a dip when you lay on it. Nevertheless, the peace and quiet of the location made up for that providing nice sleeping conditions

It’s quirkiness and style. It’s proximity to the motorway is handy though it can be noisy the windows and Aircon easily block this out. It’s nice and close to the lovely town of Chalon sur saone too with its many eateries.

My second stay with Bruno & Laure on their great premises. Welcoming as usual! The two have further developed the site by adding a wonderful American Diner. There is so much love to detail with everything they do. The car could stay fenced next to the house. What a lovely place to stay! Thanks much Bruno & Laure, et à bientôt? Holger

Fabulous, quiet location but within easy access to the autoroute. Bruno and Laure were amazing hosts . The room was perfect with it's own fabulous ensuite....and had access to a communal kitchenette for any evening dining requirements. Breakfast was superb in the gorgeous sunny garden. Will definitely call again. Thank you
