Chambre D'Hotes Miraflores

This is an incredible BandB, unlike any other I’ve been to. There are large beautiful gardens front and back containing a variety of seating nooks, including hammocks, a card/game table, Parisian cafe style table and chairs, large oval table with 6 cushioned chairs around it and more. There are small statues throughout the garden and a goldfish pond. The swimming pool is enclosed with a transparent cover, so you feel like you are outside, but you are completely protected from the wind. The breakfast room also is enclosed with a transparent cover, so it feels like you are outside, but you are inside and warm. The house is large and spacious with art work throughout. Our room was named Clématite, double room with private bath with plentiful storage space, comfortable seating area, large bathroom with generous counter space. Even if you were not planning on coming to Malestroit, I suggest you come, just to be able to stay at Miraflores. Oh, also, the garage there is a safe place to keep bicycles. Marie Helene and Rene, who live there, could not have been more helpful.

This property has to be stayed in to be believed. The hostess could not have been more accommodating or considerate. The property is in superb condition and boasts marble floors, a winding staircase in the turreted entrance hall, some spectacular pieces of furniture and a swimming pool to boot. As you might expect from the above description, breakfast was also superb. It is a short stroll to the town centre, so not centrally located but benefits from being quiet and setting its own large gardens. We would stay here again without question and look forward to it.

It was a great stay in Malestroit. The accommodation is centrally located and you can reach the idyllic old town on foot in about 10 minutes. The accommodation is very clean, modern and lovingly maintained. You feel wonderfully welcome. The breakfast is rich and lovingly prepared. There is homemade jam, which is especially good. A heated swimming pool completes the stay. The garden is flowery and beautiful. From there you can explore a lot of historical places. Thank you it was very great!

This is one of the loveliest Chambre D'Hotes I have ever stayed in. The house and garden were exceptional. My room was beautiful and the hosts were very polite and kind.

Not having an attached bathroom was very uncomfortable, especially at night. Also, the breakfast is just bread and jam, with drinks. Like most cyclists riding on the Nantes a Brest. canal, a more substantial breakfast with some form of protein - cheese, eggs, yoghurt or meat - would have been greatly appreciated before a strenuous day.

Very welcoming host, and spacious room with comfortable chairs and TV. Large well-equipped ensuite bathroom. Impressive house and gardens, well-situated near centre of character town on Nantes-Brest Canal. Excellent touring base. Breakfast with homemade brioche. Attentive, unfussy service much appreciated.

I booked this place because of the swimming pool. Not marked as closed December-Feb on booking.com (although clearly stated on owners' website). That aspect very disappointing, everything else very good.

The hostess Marie-Helene was very welcoming, kind and accommodating. The property is lovely, with very nice gardens and a pool. Breakfast was delicious, with home-made bread and jams.

There was no soap in the bathroom, though the hostess was happy to provide some when asked.

the bed was a bit small for 2 people. Breakfast was simple but sufficient.

An absolutely lovely home and a wonderful welcome from Madame. Our every need, not many, was met with a smile and a chat. Couldn’t be better

The owner was wonderful, warm, welcoming and cheerful. The breakfast was delicious, as were her homemade jams.

Break fast was good and filling with extras a like a super flan made with courgette and other vegetables. The room was spotless- and the host very hospitable.

I didn’t use the swimming pool, but maybe that’s partially included in the price, so if you did use it, even better value for money. Very safe parking if you had a valuable or classic car. Easy walk into town, 5 minutes. Good restaurant in town as well
