Hôtel de Champagne

A decent place to stay at if you're in Angers for 1-2 nights over the weekend, clean, the staff was very attentive. The city is very walkable, so if you don't mind stretching your legs and walk, the location right next the train station is quite alright to explore the city.

The coffee available for breakfast was bad. If you're like me and like your cup of specialist coffee in the morning, you're better off avoiding (and go for the orange juice).

Staff was very kind and helped us store our bikes while staying here. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, offering boil your own eggs, a variety of breads in addition to the usual. Next to the train station which is handy.

A bit noisy outside, being close to the train station and people hanging out across the street. We closed the window and turned on the AC, so not an issue at night.

Great location, close to train, bus connections. Walking distance to attractions. Very helpful front desk staff.

Our room was in the front of the hotel and noisy with the windows open, at night we tried to turn on the air conditioning but it didn’t work. We reported it the next morning but unfortunately it still wasn’t repaired the second night we stayed.

The location was very convenient, just across the train station. Súper for those coming from Paris

Access to rooms was between floors and you have to carry your luggage. Rooms tiny but tidy. In general spaces are limited, used to a more generous layout in other hotels.

Air conditioning, could make rom really dark at night time and it was quiet. Fantastic location for exploring historic centre of Angers and staff were pleasant.

It was slightly fiddly accessing our family room, could get up in the lift but there were a few stairs to negotiate aswell - luckily we were travelling light!

We asked before, and could store our ebikes inside 😃, airco in the room, shower was very good, breakfast with a lot of choice 👍, car parking in the street nearby was free in the weekend, a very nice old city and you could walk

The room was clean, and the location is very good right next to the train station. The hotel was calm and quiet, and the room had air conditioning. The staff was helpful and nice. Overall recommended for short stays.

The room was a little bit small, and is not very confortable for light work.

Everything was very clean, the personnel was friendly and good at speaking English. The breakfast was very good and a lot to choose from. The location next to the central station and in a fair walking distance to the old town is perfect.

The double bed is a little bit too small for staying with a friend.

Really friendly staff, went out of their way to look after us. The breakfast was delicious with a good continental selection. The room was clean and nice, comfy bed and black-out curtains. Location is spot on if you're arriving by train.

The bathroom door didn't fully close and there was no lock. There was no kettle in the room.

room was nice but a little small - adequate for two people parking was not on site but nearby so any luggage had to be carried. also some rooms were up and down stairs from the lift which was slightly difficult
