Odalys City Aix en Provence Le Clos de la Chartreuse

clean, well equipped, well maintained with the nicest people on the front desk. this is always my favourite place to stay when I’m in Aix. The rooms are well equipped with well stocked kitchen. it’s located in a nice quiet spot. Love everything about it really.

it’s just a bit far from the city centre. it is not a deal breaker though because the bus stop is about 5-600 metres away and the city centre itself is less than 2 km away.

Enough space and room equipped with the necessary kitchen utilities for 2 persons - free parking in front of the hotel, and payed secured parking .

Cleaning the room hasn’t been done during our 5 nights stay, not even changing the towels or adding toilet paper ( although you have the possibility to ask for cleaning for an additional fee, which i find weird) Luckily we had our own towels and toilet papers with us.

Very happy with our stay at Odalys. Rooms are how you see in the photos, immaculately clean, newly renovated, bed comfortable, linen and pillows new and fresh. Wifi is good. room is spacious and Air con is lovely and cool. The price is great value and I enjoyed the breakfast which was also great value for money. My Partner thought it was a bit bland, but for 8.50€ all you can eat I think he’s being fussy. They have on-site parking which is great. This Hotel is good if you’re planning on seeing nearby villages and after a clean peaceful place to rest with easy access/parking just outside the city centre. NOTE: if you’re wanting to be in the heart of the city then I’d recommend more central accomodation but bare in mind most don’t have parking and paid Parking in city centre is 35€ per day!

The Hotel it’s self is a bit run down, BUT the rooms are newly renovated, so maybe the lobby/hallways are to follow.

Located in a quiet street with car parking which suited us. Half hour walk into Centre Ville or with the bus stop an easy 10 minute walk from the hotel, the 6 minute bus ride was very convenient. Clean, spacious rooms with a mini kitchen, microwave and fridge. Very comfortable bed and plenty of space for a longer stay.

As the location is out of the main town, there is only one restaurant within walking distance at another hotel.

A little bit too far from the city centre for walking (approx. 45 minutes one way). If You want to go to the city centre by car keep in mind that it is nearly impossible to find a place for the car free of charge there - best idea is to take the car park at the train station (€ 2,40 per hour), from there it is a short walk into the centre.

Great value for money. Although not in the old town it was easy to access by bus. Free parking if you are lucky, if not it is 5 Euros per night (much better than 20 Euros in cramped spaces in town. Very good bed. Staff very helpful. Well situated for trips around area.

Hard to find-even with GPS. Not walkable to anywhere.

The rooms were spacious with a balcony to sit out on. We had a double room and a room for 4 - which had a comfortable sofa bed. The underground parking was a bonus for 5€. Overall, very good value.

Small thing….The outside of the shower door could have been cleaned at the bottom.

Good location, just 25 minute walk from the city centre, clean spacious apartment with the kitchen. Free parking lot in front of the hotel. Good value for money.

Noise from the electrical closet every night from 11 pm and an uncomfortable bed.

good hotel overall. Comfortable beds, and small but very functional kitchen. The rooms seem to have been updated recently. It is a bit far from the city centre but you can get a bus easily from across the street.

They could put extra pillows as it was uncomfortable to get only one per bed. The area is a bit out of the city, and you have to cross a highway to get around.

Rooms are very good quality, exactly how we see it on the pictures. I had the 2 unit apartment and even if the balcony has no good view, the natural light is really there so it’s a good value for money, really!

This is not an hotel so there is no life outside the rooms no bar no dining area simply a few tables for breakfast. Being in Aix you would think of an outdoor area, none of that. It’s really disappointing when you know that another hotel at 2 min walk has all of that + a swimming pool. But it’s probably because it’s really an apart hotel so no facilities at all. No champagne glasses, nothing…
