Radisson Blu Aleksanteri Hotel, Helsinki

Beautiful corner room with views to theatre. Everything was spotless and the amenities were excellent. We had everything we needed. We'd particularly like to shout out the various team members that helped us during our stay. We received a super warm welcome from the night staff on arrival (which was lovely as we arrived very late and had had a very long journey!), and they had some great advice on things to do and see once we'd recovered! Thanks particularly to Theo, who helped us to get an important piece of jewellery to a family member when we had to leave it behind! The team really went above and beyond, and we'd love to stay here again.

I had an absolutely delightful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly during check-in, making me feel right at home. The location is perfect, just a short walk from public transport and major tourist attractions. But what truly stood out was the extensive breakfast buffet – an impressive selection that left me spoilt for choice. I also dined at the in-house restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the fine dining quality at the same price as other nearby restaurants. It's so convenient not to have to venture out, especially considering the higher costs of eating out and alcoholic beverages in Finland by international standards. This hotel certainly deserves a 5-star rating and comes highly recommended!

Good location, walking distance around the city area and public transport stops just around the corner. The staff in the reception were really nice and accommodating especially what comes to late check out.

The staff at the restaurant (breakfast) was a bit rude and there were not many vegan options. they usually have yoghurt but this time it has ran out and they said couldn’t get stock before Monday, I asked on Friday morning). The room was more basic this time than last time I stayed even thought it should have been the same. The fitness room need an upgrade, it was also way too hot and stuffy there.

I liked nice warm floors in the bathroom, English language channels on TV, peace and quitetness in the whole hotel for good rest. Although it was too quiet in the hall downstairs at about 9 p.m on Saturday night: there was no music, the fireplace was off so the whole idea of great evening atmosphere in the hall failed. I confirm that the breakfast was really great, with fresh good quality products. The location is good, lot's of places of interest are nearby.

Unfortunately, the bed and the pillows were not comfortable for me. Wi-fi did not work properly, it disconnected from time to time. The sauna was good, but it was surely not prepared for the Sunday morning working hours (trashbin was full, there was only one (!) clean towel at 8 a.m. etc).

Very comfortable King bed and good sized room with street view. Health faucet in the washroom was a pleasant surprise. Additional towels were already in place for the kids so we didn't have to bother the hotel stafffor such basic things. Very good location with a 24x7 supermarket across the street. Excellent buffet with good variety, fresh orange juice and the smoked salmon was fresh and great in taste! The hotel had a sauna room also which was very clean and well equipped with towels, hairdryer and toiletries.

The larger coffee machine was out of order during our breakfast but the rest of the items covered for it. The building had 2 lifts but we had to still lift our luggage to the family room as it had extra steps to take.

Amazing breakfast with lots of choices of food and beverages. The chef can make you an omelette and pancakes, staff serves you fresh coffee and they have freshly baked delicious desserts. The room was large and had the vintage style and was cozy. Bed was king size and extremely comfortable. The view was ok. The hotel has free sauna and the gym. The staff were really nice and helpful and we could leave our luggage before the check-in and after the check-out. Location was ok, around 10min walk to the centre.

The bathroom was really nice, but the shower was not well designed. When you shower the water floods almost the whole bathroom and doors of the shower are on the wrong side and just to big. You could not connect to TV via Chromecast.

The helpfulness of the personnel and their willingness to react to questions. Two staff members at the reception desk and one young waitress were exceptionally helpful. We should have mentioned our difficulty in using the thermostat in the room to the personnel, but that was our fault, not theirs, and when we did mention it to the young waitress, she immediately informed the reception personnel.

On the first night the restaurant felt a little chilly. Near the windows we felt a draught. On the Sunday morning I needed a taxi quickly and, although the Sunday receptionist did ring for a taxi, none came. I later felt he could have phoned another taxi rank; in the centre of Helsinki there must be more than one rank! In the end, I had to run to get to the place I was going to to get there in time.

Location: In City Center, 10-15 mins walk to Market Square and Central Station. Less than an hour from the airport and 10 mins by tram to Olympia Terminal if you are taking the cruise; there is Tram 3 mins walk from the hotel; there is a supermarket in front of the hotel, numerous restaurant within the vicinity Room: The room is spacious and it has everything you need, bed is very comfortable Service: There are welcome sweets and water upon arrival, staff are very helpful, thanks for the gesture of surprise for my partner's birthday, much appreciated A well recommended hotel when in Helsinki!

All was perfect. Bed very comfy, all clean, breakfast absolutely delicious with lots of choice and good quality, nice staff, good location. Appreciated that the breakfast goes till 11.30 on weekend! We could choose for the bath room which was very nice too. Definitely recommended!

No problem here, just slight comments as it was already perfect. Sauna is opened on some limited time so that we could not enjoy it as we wished, it could be appreciated if the timing is extended. And just a small detail, the curtain was partly broken, it would be easy to fix it.

The staff were wonderful, so friendly, kind, and thoughtful. We were in the old part of the hotel, and the historical Helsinki apartment building atmosphere was nice. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The location is really good, very central but still quite quiet. The hotel's historical connection with the end of prohibition was interesting, and the cocktail inspired by that was very tasty!

The room was very cold and turning up the heating didn't seem to do anything. The bed was a bit too soft and the pillows were very thick. The queues in the breakfast buffet were long and the space was cramped. The minibar in our room was empty.
