Hotel Haven

Very stylish hotel and rooms. excellent location, right next to docks and esplanade and only 10 mins walk from the central train station. exclusive feel to the place-smart and cosy. The use of niche perfumery as toiletries (we had Bal D’Afrique by Byredo) was a nice touch. breakfast was fantastic and smartly presented. A comfortable stay.

It wasn’t easy to use a child’s stroller because you have to use a separate door and lift to access reception and certain rooms. This hotel is probably better for able-bodied persons and adults. Despite requesting a room clean/freshen up our room wasn’t touched for three days, which was a shame.

Room was very well designed! It was perfect for us with a toddler and a small child. It was clean and well furnished. Stylish. Bed was really big and heavenly as my couple days old back pain was gone after one night (im 2m tall and weight 110kg). The room lights were really nice and the switches in good places as you could turn of the lights from the bed and keep a one dimmer of the lights on that you were able to see around and keep an eye on the children, but still able to sleep well. Parking garage under the hotel and elevator access straight to your floor was perfect when travelling with small childrean and a heap of luggage!

Breakfast tasted really good but there was not so much to choose from. Things that usually are included costed extra, like pancakes and omelettes. The food was really good but 16€ for one omelette that should be included is bit too much.

The room was super-nice, very spacious, freshly renovated in gorgeous classical style. The bathroom was huge - with a rainshower separated from the bathtub. The crib for our 2-year old child was also very high quality. Probably, the best we've ever seen in hotels. Fantastic location - close to all main sights of Helsinki.

We felt the quality of breakfast did not quite match the level of the hotel. It was al right, but rather simple. Also, the elevator in the parking garage did not work, and we had to use a private parking around the corner. It would be better, if the hotel could manage our expectations in this respect, i.e. send a note with directions to the parking in advance of our arrival. We had been certain that the hotel had its own parking - that's what was written in the description.

Good size room. The location was ideal for exploring the City. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of dishes -well presented. It is right by the Harbour where you can investigate the archipelago.

Breakfast is served in an older part of the Hotel and is upstairs. If a guest was wheelchair bound I do not know how they would get there as I couldn't see any lift system.

The hotel has excelent location - walking distance from the ferry from Stockholm, few metres from the market by the sea and the main shopping street. The room is outstanding with beautiful bathroom+amenities, minibar and nice breakfast which is served in adjacent building facing the sea. We stayed previously in Stocholm at hotel at same price level located way outside the downtown which would be at least one star less. Also the reception was very helpful and spoke perfect English and had/googled all information we asked. Definitely will be back and will be our choice no 1 in Helsinki.

Everything was above perfect.

A lovely hotel in a great, central location, which is still remarkably peaceful. The rooms were very attractively decorated and perfectly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d very happily go back there.

One tiny quirk, the air conditioning display glowed brightly in the dark, and was right next to the bed, so we had to find something to cover it up with at night. Otherwise everything was great.

This was our tenth stay at Hotel Haven and three times we came with members of our large family. We love the location and always reserve the harbor view rooms. The service is impeccable and response to requests were immediate, helpful, accommodating and resourceful... including our unusual query to get reading chair for our room. We will always stay at the hotel when visiting our family in Helsinki.

We wished that there had been options for eating at the hotel on the evenings when we did not have evening engagements. Ultima was a good restaurant one night but we missed not having food available at the bar or room service. It was also sad to have the bar closed two nights. I suspect that the missing food service was due to COVID era factors. Hopefully more options will be available next time!

the bar! Bryan is just excellent. Really attentive, nice, humorous, full of knowledge and an excellent host. My whole family adored him and he would be the reason for us to return! A Scot in Finland making his guests enjoy every minute. We went to the bar every day just to see Bryan.

Not being able to visit the restaurant. They of course could not help it being covid and new restrictions etc but some of the staff need to relax! Breakfast not great, same things every day and not really tasty.

The front desk staff were exceptional. The airlines lost my baggage and the four nights I was booked , staff were very helpful in enjoying my stay in Heksinki . Without clothes, walking shoes, poles, yoga mat and toiletries..... still loved my time in Helsinki.......the breakfast was excellent as well as the food in the bar.

Helsinki suite was great with plenty of room to relax.

Stayed on a Sunday night however the bar was shut and there was no room service. A bit ridiculous. Breakfast was average, had to pay for a cooked breakfast when it said breakfast was included.
