This is our favorite hotel of the island, we've been coming here for 8 years now. The rooms have a smill kitchenette which is important to us, because we like to stay home and cook some of the days. The staff is amazing! We were placed in a smaller room than we were used to. After contacting them they immediatly found us a better room and moved our stuff effortlessly. The place is amazing, in the middle of Willemstad, surrounded by a beautiful garden and a small pool. It's very quiet and comfortable. Will go again.
It could be cleaned a bit better. Also there are signs of degrations in the room. But it's all very minor.

The Pietermaai Boutique Hotel is located in a residential neighborhood near a charming “backstreet” that is full of life at night with musicians, restaurants and bars and a fun local vibe. This location is perfectly located close enough to downtown and the canal and Emma Bridge that you can easily walk back and forth between them and feel like you see something different on a different street everyday. It feels safe. And its charm is also quite pleasing. The pool area is not resort-huge but it’s quaint and well-maintained and has plenty of seating. The staff was terrific and accommodating, helpful with recommendations and calling us taxi’s.
There appears to only be one room that is on top of others, and unfortunately for us, that room was above us. This being a historic building, the floors are wood and not well insulated…not the hotel’s fault. It’s just something to know beforehand. Also, its bathroom is not entirely private, meaning there is no private stall or door…it’s got a half wall that separates it from the living/sleeping space but the toilet is not enclosed. Just something to be aware of. Fortunately there is a separate bathroom that is located out by the pool that is available for all guests and it seems infrequently used so that helped with privacy.

Great location close to Punda and Otrobanda. Easily accessible by foot and car. Parking was on the street, but never a problem. The swimming pool was great to cool down in and ample shade around it made it very pleasant to visit any time of day. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel effectively used WhatsApp to communicate, and any service requests were addressed quickly. The air conditioning in the room worked really well. Beds were comfortable. Split level layout was cute but beware of the steep stairs. Breakfast was at a nearby restaurant, conveniently located (literally a stone's throw away). Very friendly manager and staff at the restaurant with solid and varied breakfast choices available.
We were in room number 2. Right next to room number 2 is a restaurant and bar. It was noisy late into most nights. Ask for a different room if you are a light sleeper. The bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable. The shower drain had a problem on day 1 and the maintenance crew fixed it at around the 80% level. The lighting in the room is terrible, especially in the kitchenette area. The upstairs sleeping area will benefit from more space to unpack.

For the purpose of my trip, it was perfect. The staff were very nice and helpful. It’s located in the city which you may or may not like. It’s about 2-3 minutes away from the US Consulate (driving) which is nice. A lot of small cafe style restaurants right behind the hotel. (tip: make reservations)The deluxe room’s layout was nice and felt modern and spacious with just a few minor flaws.
There just a few minor things that can be improved. -The room’s door is accessible from a hallway anyone can get to from the street. The first night I was pretty uncomfortable, but you get over it. Maybe if the metal gate had a lock on it I would have felt much safer. -The type of water heater used is placed too far from the shower. By the time the water comes out it’s already cold. just needs a more powerful version -There are vent holes in the bathroom wall that lets mosquitos in the room. This could be an easy fix by putting some type of wire mesh on the outside. Other than these minor flaws, I had a great stay. I would definitely stay again!

Our room (#14) had great character - very charming design, door open into a semi private garden with a pool - excellent for a morning coffee or an afternoon dip. AC worked well, comfortable bed, stylish modern bathroom, kitchen has a coffee machine with great coffee and creamers, all utensils if you want to cook (we didn’t). location is great - 10 min walk to the waterfront, local market with food hall is very close as well. there is a charming cafe at the end of the street of our building perfect for cocktails. there are several building complexes - some seem modern with ocean view, others have more historical charm (which we prefer). front desk people were super helpful and nice - helped us to book a boat tour and gave great recommendations for happy hours and restos.
it was perfect

The location is great. Close to bars and restaurants. I liked that the pool was out back of the door and there was a patio. The place was clean and decorated very nice.
I did not like the location of the bathroom. I did not like that there was no door. I did not like that it was located at the top of the bed.

Excellet location, it’s possible to go by walk to the main touristic points in Cuaracao city center. Staff was very kind and helpful. Good breakfast, many hotels does not have breakfast in Curacao, so it’s a relevant differential
Although our room was large, our bathroom was very small. There was no door in the bathroom, not even for the toilet, so there is not much privacy for using the bathroom. It’s not guaranteed that you’ll have a parking space in their parking, since there are a few places to park there. Sometimes we arrived at the hotel at night and needed to find a place in the street to let our car.

Location is great, especially to join the Kingday/ night celebrations, which are in the street just behind the hotel. Number of nice restaurants in the neighborhood and Punda and even Otrobanda are at easy walking distance. The garden in between the apartments with the pool is a very nice and relaxing oasis in the city. Appartement itself very spacious and kitchen was well equipped for what you want during a holiday stay.
Nothing.

The property was really unique and in a great location. The staff was very friendly and tried to accommodate us the best they could.. I also love that they partner with Hotels for Trees.
The property ran short on towels, both for the pool and rooms. Our coffee wasn't restocked, and there was no hand soap in the room.
