Garden Suites Umag Plava Laguna

Garden suites are positioned in a beautiful garden filled with Mediterranean plants. Our suite was big and had a balcony. It was near the beach and the main hotel where the breakfast and dinner are served (3 min walk to both). Both breakfast and dinner had a lot of variety, and most of the food was very testy. Drinks were included in the price of half board. Umag old town is a 30 min walk away. Internet worked well.

We were in the suite on the top floor, and we did not have sunbeds on the balcony. The bottom suites had sunbeds. So it would be great if they put sunbeds on top balconies as well.

Suites were well suiting the family with kid, interior design was nice. Great location with many pools and playgrounds. Many outdoor relax options.

Food was not up to a 4star hotel, rather a very weak 3 star level. Quality was poor, presentation way too simple, same food was repeated on consecutive days. Staff did not refill the plates that quick as the demand.

The Garden Suites were really beautiful, very close to the sea, modern, clean and well equipped. It is a perfect place for families with children since you have a nice garden and also a playground available. The hotel was also very nice, thou a little older and quite crowded (mainly during dinner time). We enjoyed our stay very much. The food was also very good, though not a great variety of healthy and yummy foods for small children... We certainly recommend the garden suites and would love to come back.

The hotel was a bit older and needs a bit more attention. The hotel also wasnt that clean, I would say aroun 6.5 out of 10. Otherwise all good.

the room is big, new and functional. Huge shower and very good ac. It’s right next to the beach, less than 200 meters from the suite farthest away. all personnel nice and approachable, specially Sara and Mario from the kids club, they made our stay much more better. very high quality for price ratio.

the indoor pool is really cold, i mean shivering cold. the food even when quite good Can be a bit better.

We had an apartment in the first row with direct view on the sea. This was really fantastic! Also the garden around the little bungalows was very nice including large trees for enough shadow. Everything in the little bungalow settlement was clean and nicely groomed. The room itself was large and well equipped. The terrace was beautiful, but could include loungers also in the upstair apartments for more comfort. A perfect place for a little rest! And: the place is very dog friendly!

The service could have been much better; two times (of 4 nights) our room was not cleaned up when we returned to it at noon and I specifically had to ask for it; the AC and service tool in the living room was out of order and was not repaired during our stay. Food was served together with the big hotel belonging to the same area. I t was very disappointing and has much room for improvement. It does not comply with the standard one would expect paying this price.

Helpful staff, cozy apartment, varied breakfast and dinner, several (even sandy) beaches close to the hotel, for children: bike rental, playgrounds, sightseeing train, water attractions nearby. Altogether beside of the above mentioned inconveniences we had a very great time.

Air conditioning set to 19-21 degrees in September. We wasn't succeeded in switching it off then asked the reception. Than we had misunderstooding with repair staff so we had altogether two cold nights with a 1-year-old child. Shower tube was stuck when we arrived but they fixed it. Positively, we got help in 5-10 minutes in each cases. We asked for an apartment facing to the sea. It did but there was another building between the sea and our balcony...

We booked a Garden Suite at Plava Laguna and are so happy we did! The suites are part of the larger hotel but a short walk away so you have more privacy and quiet compared to the main building. Breakfast and dinner was okay. There were a lot of options to choose from which is great for the family. The absolute best part of our stay was the kids animation team. Our 2 girls couldn’t wait to go to the kids club each morning and would count down the hours until the kids disco in the evening. The animators were so sweet and fun and really made our kids feel comfortable from day 1. It was a super memorable trip and highly recommended for families with young kids!

Pool was relatively small for how big the hotel is. Not enough electric charging points. Mediocre food.

Accommodation was great, clean, enough space for the kids, the room service gave us new towels every day. Breakfast and dinner was provided at the main hotel and for one week it was good, i believe after one week it would be good to have more variety of the food offered.

Staff at the front des wasn't so helpful and nice, after the arrival they told us to wait until 12 for the check-in then another two hours to get the keys, also at the dinner as the drinks were not provided for you to take and you have to order the drinks we ended up several evenings without drinks as there was no one who could take the orders.

We loved our stay here! Our suite was just amazing with a terrace in a beautiful garden with a sea view. It was clean and spacious and so comfortable. We were lucky as the weather was just great for the first time the water in the sea was really warm. We also liked the beach with the sand it was good for children. But of course the other beaches were also nice. There were several playgrounds and the swimming pools, evening animation for children and mini club. The food was also great, a lot of fresh fruits. Great location, we can only recommend this place!

Unfortunately lunch was not included and the food in the nearest cafes was not really good and very expensive, I would rather pay for the full board. Or it would be nice to have a microwave and a electric kettle in the room as there is enough space for all of this it would make life easier for families with small children.

The suites were nice and clean. The pools were great. The staff was nice.

Some of the food was not very good. They were saving too much so the puding or panckes were for example very waterish and not good enough for a 4 star hotel. But some other food was very tasty.
