Les Voiles Blanches - Luxury Lodge

The property is beautiful designed - from the landscaping to the pool, it is all picture-perfect. Kris was very friendly and helpful! Great location is you want to try our different beaches in the area.

For the price of the hotel, would have been nice if breakfast had been included. It’s a bit of a trek to get to any beaches or good restaurants in the area.

We loved the property. Kristine and her family were amazing. We enjoyed the personally made breakfast every morning. The room and bathroom was great, bedding was high quality and you can see the attention to details. We loved the bo-ho design. The place was quiet and away from the noise of the highway. This place is between Avellanes and Tamarindo. You need a car and this place is up and down a dirt road for about 2 minutes from the highway. This place is surrounded by nature so there are bugs roaming around, but found them harmless. We would definitely stay here again!

I liked the area and how clean the lot was. You can tell that Kris and her husband take really good care of the property - they put a lot of love into it. The pool is lovely, we also had a private pool which was amazing!

We asked Bob (the manager) a few times where to get food or where to go but he wasn't very helpful. His response was, I don't know I have been here for 3 weeks. We did not like that you have to pay $15 extra for breakfast, a bed and breakfast should be exactly that - it should be in your costs already. The location is quite far from Tamarindo, it's actually more than 6Km and you can not walk it. It would be ideal to let people know that if you are not driving that you will occur a lot of costs for taxi and uber. But the space itself is perfect and lovely. We will stay here again.

Room was spacious and so was the bathroom, lovely interiors and unusual half open shower. Breakfast was tasty. Relaxing location to rest and lovelu family feel. Host was friendly and helpful, provided details for food delivery (only pjzza), a taxi contact and restaurant recommendations around the area as well as beaches.

Booked a room with a pool view and had no pool view. Location requires a car or taxis to get to food etc, for some reason Ubers kept going to the wrong location. Also bit of confusion, as was charged for breakfast for 2 even though I booked for 1 and then trying to sort the refund with converting to local currency ended up with me still overpaying slightly in the end. An iron would have been useful.

It felt like an oasis! It was very quiet, calm & relaxing away from the busier towns. The place was decorated beautifully & the breakfasts were amazing!! Our only note to other guests is (like most of Costa Rica) you would want a car as the location is a little remote as you need to drive for about 10 minutes to reach the beaches (Avellanas & Tamarindo) but this was no problem for us and we would definitely come back!

Secured property (need a pin to enter). We also liked that the property was clean, quite, and you had your own privacy. We upgraded our room to having a kitchen and having our private pool. Keep in mind that if you upgrade you will be charge a daily cleaning fee of $30. We were not made aware until the end of our stay. But the property manager explained it to us and accepted that it was their failure to mention it earlier and took the fee off for us. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. We were given recommendations of local activity, restaurants, beaches etc. They even scheduled for a nurse to come do our COVID-19 testing. Remember to verify with both parties the actual cost. We ended up paying a tad bit more than what we were initially told but I believe it’s because the nurse brought a different test but it was not that big of a deal to us. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend booking here. You won’t regret it ☺️.

Our first night we found 2 bed bugs in our room. We contacted the property managers and they were quick with responding and sprayed the room for us and we didn’t have anymore bug problems for the remainder of our stay.

Les Voiles Blanche lies a few kilometres outside the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. It's an ideal location to relax and unwind. Kris and Christophe are the perfect hosts - friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety for such a small place. The resort is beautifully arranged, and the pool is stunning. Transport to Tamarindo and further away is easy to organise so even if you don't have a car (we did not), you can get everywhere you want to go and still enjoy the calmness of the location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a fantastic hideaway, with all the luxury and facilities you need when exploring this glorious coast. We stayed in a bungalow with its own pool but all the rooms look great and the setting around the main pool is lovely. Kris was super helpful - especially her list of beaches and restaurants. Our bungalow had everything we needed and was very comfortable; breakfasts were easy and tasty. We'd had a bad stay in Tamarindo before we found this oasis and were so happy with our five nights here.

The property is wonderful, it is very relaxing to stay at the pool, surrounded by tropical plants. The staff was very kind and tried to accommodate every request. The breakfast was amazing, with homemade juice, pastries and a daily changing main dish. Tamarindo and other beaches are about 15-20 min drive from there, not a problem if you have a car.

If you stay in one of the rooms with garden view you might hear noise from your neighbors. So if you are sensitive choose one of the individual units.
