Best Western PLUS The Arden Park Hotel

The hotel was central to the two theatres we visited (The Avon & Festival Theatre). We enjoyed walking to both. Always appreciate that parking is never a challenge at the Arden Park. We enjoy knowing facilities are available to go to the gym should we choose and we have done this, just not during this trip. Enjoy having a choice to eat at the hotel or venture out. On the day of arrival we had a beautiful Salmon dinner paired with a wonderful Ontario white wine. We traditionally choose to only enjoy Ontario / Canadian alcohol products.

I don't have much to say in this category... I do recall being bumped out that I could open the window, even if just for a draft of fresh air. I might recommend think green, reposition the screws to permit windows opening1-2 inches. This will support safety as well as potential for overall energy savings.

Room was wondrful! Bed was very comfortable!

excellent idea to have the breakfast included. My only problem was that only eggs was included. Perhaps an offer for oatmeal or some vegan choice for the breakfast....Muesli, small bowl of fruit, gluten free bread.....Oatmilk or Almond milk. We had dinner one night and it was okay...hubby had the steak and...okay. I had the duck and it was smothered with a very fruity sauce...covered all the risotto and vegetable....ruined the dinner. I mentioned it to the server....she did not say anything. We ate elsewhere for dinner the following night.

Loved the hotel, the room, front desk, facilities. I appreciated the communication about the pool closure that was very well handled. Nice location and a lovely building. Very convenient. Will definitely consider returning.

The restaurant was really not good. Portions too big and imbalanced, like a huge huge portion of pasta but very little sauce. It was just not great. I ordered a pizza and it came out overcooked so they made me another one which was also pretty overcooked. The server always brought things like cutlery after we needed it instead of before and never refilled out waters. We had really just come to feed our kid and in retrospect we should've fed him then ordered in.

There was a problem with the fan in the room, it was too loud, and despite there apparently being a fan speed control on the wall thermostat, there was no way of changing the speed. Called front desk, had a back and forth over several phone calls. Unfortunately, staff was unable to assist, they clearly weren't familiar enough with the panel. I had to ask them to consult someone else, and someone else who was more knowledgeable did call me back. Long and short, at 11:00 pm at night, I do not want a staffer coming to the room, and I don't want to have to interpret a tech manual over the phone. This was very annoying. In the end I had to just live with it. Frustrating. Only negative of the stay.

Good location with plenty of parking. I had breakfast in the morning and it was served quickly, and was good portion and value.

Smallest thing...restaurant greeter asked if I had reservations, he mentioned when the hotel is full, it is recommended...how would I know if the hotel is full, there were plenty of empty parking spots. In the guest services, which I read, had suggested reservations, I would have done som

Dinner on Wednesday night was very good. Nice menu of items from which to choose. Breakfast (included with room) was also very nice, done to our requests, and served by a an extremely personable lady, who has been there for years (because we have been served by her several times in the past.)

Everything was fine. It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. It is our accommodation of choice when we stay in Stratford.

We were happy with room and the cleanliness of it. We loved the pool and hot tub and how it had the right amount of chlorine. (Didn't burn our eyes as we used it. On previous years we have gone to different hotels and the chlorine was so bad. So much was used that it actually bleached bathing suits!!!) We did not experience this at your place.

Pool & Hot Tub to be open till midnight. Say 10pm-12am adults only. Just a suggestion.

Nice room, location, other billing issues... lovely hotel and friendly staff

I resented $100 being added onto my hotel fees... being taken off my Visa account and not being included on my registration receipt. The receptionist did not want to issue a receipt but upon request her manager did issue me a receipt. I resent $100 being held for 3-5 business days

Early check in

Breakfast which was included was buffet style - Eggs dry, sausage dry fruit was limited and largely canned. Overall breakfast was very disappointing. Had difficulty finding the blind closing mechanism which was hard to see with result that we had to put up with spot light shinning into the room. A small sign on the wall or window sill would have been a big help.

Rooms are large with very comfortable beds & pillows. Windows open! Bonus! Room temperature control by guest is easy. Hotel has its own dining room open for breakfast lunch & dinner. Bar open until 11:30ish. I was able to have a Guiness poured to take to our room after returning from Theatre. Easy walk to Festival Theatre & not too far to walk to the other theatres & restaurants
