The Silver Birch Motel

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The room was spacious with a nice kitchen and fridge with abundant dishware. There was a nice sink, dishrack, electric kettle, coffee maker and coffee.

Keep in mind that the motel is on the highway about 8 km south of Goderich. This is made clear on the information about the hotel so it was no surprise. For some reason, my laptop didnt read the wifi password so I had no wifi. My Samsung Galaxy phone did accept the password. I use my laptop almost daily in a variety of locations in Hamilton and Toronto. The staff tried to help to some extent but didnt seem that concerned. I would have liked them to show some more concern although this may seem petty on my part.

We had a king size bed and was the most comfortable bed we had ever slept in. The room was well equipped with more than I knew. Fridge, microwave, dishes and silverware, toaster & kettle and coffee maker and provided coffee and tea in the room.

Bathroom was very clean but, needed some work on the walls in the bathtub. Was the only thing I can think of other than maybe a place in the bathroom to hang a housecoat etc on the door. Towels could have been a little softer.

We stayed 2 nights in August & Sept. The site is very peaceful & we feel secured. It is very close to to the beach & to all the attractions we want to see in Goderich. We like the kitchen , big & clean bathroom, TV & wifi. The staffs (owners) are very friendly & accommodating. They make us feel comfortable & they responded immediately to our request. Not but not least the price is affordable. We will definitely come back again.

For the price we paid, we have no complaint.

We really appreciated having a full kitchenette because we needed to prepare our own breakfast early. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the owner was most pleasant!

It would have been nice to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom, or be able to open the window, as it fogged up after showering.

Very clean and quiet. Soft and clean beds with extra pillows available. The cost for a weekend with taxes was just over $200. Excellent rate that left money for eating out...shopping all the many thrift shops and parking at the gorgeous beaches.

Our room was really clean and they had alot of amenities we were not expecting.

We had trouble with being double charged once by you and then the owner. Your company charged our card but put an agent credit card number showed up on Silver Birch records so it looked like we had not paid. The owner said is continues to be problem and it is not a great start to our stay arguing with owner about being double charged.

I loved having the convenience of the kitchenette with fridge, stove, sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster & a cupboard full of dishes & supplies. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the pressure of the shower. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It was close to restaurants and the sites we wanted to see. We like motels for the convenience of parking right in front of the door of the room.

The only thing that needs improving is a few upgrades. The room was dated, it could use some upgrades, like painting, maybe new carpeting, trim around the tub, mostly cosmetic.

The location was exactly what we needed and being just outside of town it was nice and quiet.

The tap water wasn't great for drinking.

What breakfast??? Was not offered one. Room was clean, comfortable, had all necessary amenities but could have used a clock radio and a fly swatter.

As mentioned above, a fly swatter would have been useful and a clock radio would have been nice.

Friendly staff welcomed us. The room was larger than expected. Fully equipped with fridge microwave coffee maker and kettle.
