Magnolia Petal

Place was clean and warm, bed very comfortable. Apart from occaisional floorboard squeak from the owners place above us, it was very quiet. Wifi worked well enough to watch a Netflix show.Gardens were very pretty.

It wasn't very much for the price. Last minute need to get away meant we didn't have much to choose from. Room was quite small - essentially a space under the owners' house. The bathroom was connected by a sliding door and had clear glass windows and so not very private. Location was quite a way from Ganges, requiring a 15 minute drive each way. For the price being charged, we felt they could have included the breakfast instead of charging extra.

The atmosphere, hospitality, and coziness of this property and this unit were so lovely! It was a beautiful oasis tucked away from the busier areas of the island. The design and amenities were clearly well thought-out to maximize the small space and ensure guests feel comfortable and cared for. The breakfast was also delicious and generous for a good start to the day!

A few things were not quite as advertised. While not at all a dealbreaker, we would have liked to know these in advance so we could have better planned around them. These include: the wifi on the property, as well as the cell signal, are both incredibly spotty and barely had connection the entirety of our 3-night stay (I would recommend telling your loved ones you'll be unable to be contacted, and plan to connect to public wifi while in the town); there is no hairdryer in the unit as advertised, so bring your own or plan to air-dry; if it's not clear from the posting, the washroom for the unit is a separate building and you need to go outside to access it, so if you are the type of person who needs to pee in the night (like us!) this along with the loft bed will be a bit of a hassle.

We loved staying in this lovely little space. Such a wonderful slice of paradise! Joe and Wendy have put so much love and energy into this place and their beautiful property. I really like the North part of the island so the location was great, the breakfast basket was super cute, and the surrounding palms and exotic plants made us feel we were in a tropical oasis. I definitely look forward to coming back here!

The only thing I would be prepared for is there is minimal to no cell phone service and wifi here. We didn't need it and liked that we were able to disconnect :)

.We loved the hosts and the surrounding, very peaceful and tranquil and this is what we were looking for and we had it. It was like being in Hawaii. This is the place to go if that is what you are looking for. We felt at home and very comfy.

Need mitts for the BBQ and a clock. There was none in the place but found the empty box. Other than that excellent🥰

The setting and tranquillity of the surroundings, also fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and more

My only thought was maybe more lighting when you go through the gate at night , difficult to find the door in the dark , although Joe did come out to put a light on , the night we were earlier, apart from that it was excellent

Location is spectacular - like a tropical paradise with the most gorgeous garden. Our hosts were very kind, extremely imaginative and artistic and a genuine pleasure to meet.

N/A - we enjoyed the whole experience of staying there at Magnolia Petal - highly recommend it.

If you are looking for a secluded hideaway surrounded by lush vegetation, that is a joy to look at while having your morning coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening, then this is the place. Joe and Wendy made us feel very welcome, gave us our privacy, and always took care of any requests we had. Joe provided some great tips, like the beach close by where we had a late afternoon swim, and the Treehouse Restaurant where we had a truly amazing meal. Highly recommend this place!!

The TV is in a weird spot, but we didn't watch TV.

It was a beautiful spot nestled amongst gorgeous trees. Everything we needed was there. Beautiful decor and amenities. Delicious breakfast basket and some of the best cookies ever! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

The bed was a little uncomfortable.

Wendy and Joe were amazing hosts! Such lovely, energetic, interesting people, who were genuinely kind and inviting. We felt so welcome here, and the space we had was perfect - quiet, clean, and super comfortable, with thoughtful touches. Their place is truly an inspiring paradise. The loft bed was so comfortable and romantic. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathroom was beyond luxurious. And their outdoor space was so beautiful and unique, we couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our time on our first trip here.

I loved everything about this very special place. Location, decor, comfort, all the little details. It was the perfect space to rest, explore and just pause life for a while in the most beautiful setting.

Honestly, nothing I didn't like, even loved the ladder to the lofted sleeping area! The sporadic Wifi wasn't even an issue as disconnecting was a goal.
