Ramada by Wyndham Campbell River

Considering I had surgery in the morning at the CRH, this location is perfect. 5 minute drive to get to the hospital. We have stayed at this hotel every single time we come down. It’s our favourite. I loved the Beach across the street and the view from our balcony of the ocean was stunning; what better way to wake up in the morning and see the sunrise over the water. I highly recommend this hotel and will continue to stay here any time I am in Campbell River. Absolutely love the staff members!

The price was expensive but I booked last minute and took the last room available, not their fault. We usually pay very decent prices. So as much as I wasn’t a fan of the price, it comes down on us for not booking sooner.

The room was large and had an ocean view. Good breakfast.

The whole complex could use some TLC (paint, carpet cleaning, woodwork) and the room was not very clean. It was a bit annoying to be told on arrival that smoking in the room was not allowed (we do not smoke) only to find a cigarette butt on the balcony. A pretentious message about the RED energy saving program in the shower when both the shower head and the tap would have the water running simultaneously. No one to answer the phone when trying to skip the lobby on check-out. I would rate our stay 6 /10 because of the large room and the ocean view. Otherwise 3 / 10

We loved the opportunity to play mini golf or even having a BBQ corner as well as being able to sit in front of our room on the balcony. The breakfast room was big and the variety of food was great. The staff was exceptionally friendly. We absolutely loved the location. Being directly on the Ocean was amazing.

The rooms didn't have a/c which made it impossible to sleep in as we have planned to do and having the sink full of somebody's beard hair was a bit disgusting.

I let them know ahead of time that I had a bad leg and to please give me a ground floor room. they gave me a room in direct line with the disabled parking spot. then when I got to the room it had a soft light turned on and the room was lovely and warm.

the bath room has been nicely renovated but there is the beginning of mould showing between the tiling and top of the tub. it needs a scrub with a brush and cleanser. I normally leave a tip for the cleaning people but not this time.

The suite had a room with an ocean view and a small balcony with chairs and a table to enjoy the sunset, which was really nice. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen fully equipped. There was parking just outside the entrance door, that was very convenient. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We did not have the time to check them out, but there is a pool and a sauna which sound great. Breakfast was great! Lots of different foods in a buffet style.

The room was a bit loud, as the mini golf was just below it. It wasn't too bad when you closed the windows, but if you want to make sure you have a quite room, maybe ask to get a room a bit further from that area. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, but the floor still had dirt from previous guests, including some Cialis on the side of the bed... Some ants in the room, but the staff is trying to keep them out using some repellent.

It's a two for one meaning the complimentary breakfast is a bonus and such a variety of good food, beds are comfortable, the room has many amenities with the exception of a microwave but I'm sure other rooms have this. Was awaken at doors slamming but that's because they're hinged, would have liked to sleep in. Overall great stay, great view, we will return.

Although parking is manageable, quite tight but that goes with the location. Quieter doors.

Great setup with the beds upstairs and living room down. Good hot breakfast choices

Hot tub wasn't working. Rooms were very dated and worn. Total hotel could us an upgrade. Cost was high at almost $300 for the night. Foe that price I feel updates could be done

The front receptionist and chef were exceptional! 😊 Both went beyond expectations to ensure our stay was comfortable. Both were friendly, attentive and professional. The receptionist took her time to clearly explain details like parking and letting us know to arrive earlier for breakfast. The map she provided was helpful too. The continental breakfast was amazing! There was lots of food options like cereal, bagels, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea and waffles that you make on a 3 minute waffle maker! At 9:55 - 5 minutes before the breakfast room was going to close, the chef realized that guests were entering so she brought out more hot scrambled eggs! She didn’t make us feel rushed to leave at all. She even took the time to explain how to use the waffle maker! She kept on cleaning the counters, equipment and anything guests touched. As we were leaving with our food, she suggested to warm up our food and cover it. 😊

It would have been nice to have an entrance mat to absorb snow and mud instead of floors.

The price was very good for busy season. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool and gym was also now open so he kids really loved being able to swim. Rooms clean and well kept so even for a older place it wasn't bad at all and we would stay here again.

Was a bit outdated and bed wasn't the most comfortable but we managed and it was fine for our stay. The parking is also very tight and late at night there was only 1 parking spot that my truck couldn't fit into but the front end staff where very accommodating and allowed us to park in the registration parking area for the night.

Great value! I was upgraded to a loft and it had an amazing view of the water! The sea walk was right across the road and beach combing was brilliant! Surprisingly quiet considering it was on the main highway into Campbell River.

My only complaint was the fellow below me chose to ignore the ‘No Smoking’ signs posted everywhere around the property including directly above his head on his balcony. The building is in sad repair and there were a few spots on the railing that concerned me. The power in my room was iffy at first as was the remote for the tv but both were taken care of by the very friendly staff.
