Sandman Hotel Edmonton West

It was very clean and good value for what I paid. The staff were also friendly and professional, especially the lovely Filipina woman with long, wavy hair (I forgot her name, but she was very helpful and friendly). I would definitely stay here again for a similar price.

My only complaints would be: check-in time should be 3:00, not 4:00–though the same woman I mentioned above was kind enough to check us in early—and I wish the pool hours went until 11:00 pm and not 10:00 pm so that we could have a chance to use the pool without it being filled with young kids. Also, there was a small group of people sitting in the common area by the pool, drinking and being very loud until after 1:00 am. I was a bit disappointed that the night staff didn’t come and ask them to return to their rooms and/or lower their voices.

I booked my stay here due to an environmental issue at my home apartment. The room I originally booked was small and rather plain, so I called guest services to inquire about a bigger room and they upgraded myself and my wife to a king suite for free. Thank-you! The new suite was spacious and clean with the only issue being were some footprint stains in the carpet from someone's muddy work boots which didn't clean up, but it was a minor detail really. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There's plenty of shopping and restaurants close by.

When we were moved to the new suite, I left behind my tote bag with some toiletries in the old room. When I inquired about it, I was told it was never seen. My expensive tooth whitening system was in it, worth about $50 to replace.

The location was great for access to West Edmonton Mall. The mall and many other shops and restaurants are within Walking distance. I am also a huge fan of Denny’s.

The room key doesn’t work for access through the exterior doors. This meant entry through the front doors only. The Front Deal person explained that this was for security purposes. Overall this was a minor inconvenience for the greater good of security.

Great location. Great views. Great rooms. The best thing is that the AC unit is controlled on the ac rather than the thermostat. Hope they never change this

Shower design wasn't the best. Nice looking, but the bathroom floods due to the way they made the showers. Water doesn't stay in the shower. And due to the tower being separate from the main building cabs, food delivery goes to the main building, making it a bit annoying.

The fact that the rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had a great sleep.in the beds My youngest didn't want to wake up!

When we checked into our room went to look at it and put our bags in the room to discover that the room we got was being worked on tools, and such along with dust on the TV counter so i called front desk and they immediately got me a different room that was ready for our stay. Along with apologies and extra snacks along with a food voucher for breakfast so it made up for that. And then when we went to the pool, there was no towels there so I went to front desk to get some only to see that someone else grabbed them before we were done our swim.

It was a perfect hotel. close to where we needed to be in Edmonton. The pool area was really nice and had a 'vacation' style vibe to it - great for kids. Staff were great and helpful and overall great stay. Room was perfect and couldn't hear anything outside your room which was perfect.

The hot tub was closed down and we weren't informed till we went to use it, which is a shame as was part of the reason for choosing the hotel - it was being refurbed, so will be sure to try next time. Room was clean, but not child proof clean and we had to give living area a bit of a clean down so he didnt eat anything on carpet/under couch.

very close to food and the mall and the night shift front desk and the the morning front desk are amazing very helpful and very friendly specially "maria" she helped us on everything we needed when we where there for a week and the house keeping workers are top quality the best i have ever seen,even better than some 5 star hotels that we been,thank you so much :-)

little confusing on which entrance to use. Went to the back , had to walk around the building to gain access into building. A lot of people where using the back thinking it was the main entrance, better signage is needed. The tower has welcome entrance which is not for if you are staying in the other building.

We waited 10 minutes for the receptionist to show up at the front desk , we almost left the hotel to go find another place, then our key didn't work she couldn't even answer us for 30 minutes cause she had other guests and was the only person on shift it was really bad I was so tired after 30 minutes she come and find out the key is not working at all so she has to give us another room without a kitchen etc..... They should hire more staff for evening shift. Not going back to this hotel. Everything Else about our room was good.

nicely located easy to find and great staff was nice to see dedication in daily work even though the place is being renovated due to flooding

need signage letting customers know that the entrance is at the Denny’s entrance only many people froze their buttt walking around
