Hotel The Lodge Heverlee

Overall the room was good, spacious and as it is relatively newly built, in very good condition. Breakfast had a reasonable variety but gets board after a few days with everything the same every day. Hot food (scrambled egg and bacon) did not look very inviting and as with us, nobody else touched it.

No tea and/or coffee making facilities in the bedrooms - it is nowadays almost standard at all hotels/motels, etc. On request for two friends to come and have breakfast with us at the hotel one morning, which we would have paid for in additional to our own costs, we were told that they were very busy and full and could not accommodate us. All three mornings that we had breakfast there were no more than 6 other people in the dining room??

Located in a very nice surrounding and close to beautiful nature. The hotel is very cosy and cute and we were surprised by the atmosphere. The breakfast was served in a nice restaurant with a very high quality and generous options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is a bit far from the city center but we consciously decided that.

The room facilities were a bit basic and it need some repairs. It didn’t have a proper air ventilation and the room was a bit smelly, interior lighting was poor. An electric kettle is the minimum which can be added to the room. It was difficult to find the entrance to the parking garage at the beginning.

historic building beautifully restored. large disabled friendly accessible room with huge curved brick ceilings and exposed walls. room situated off a courtyard - but amazingly quiet. staff friendly and helpful. great courtyard for sitting or reading a book. close to train station and flat walking. free parking in the streets close by. breakfast has lots of options and was fantastic. hotel quiet.

you have to accept that air conditioning wasn’t part of a historic building! we managed by having the door to the courtyard open but could probably have done with a fan when it was 30+ degrees. little on food menu we liked but chips at 2eur were super quick and absolutely delicious :-). bath was a little narrow and more handles would have aided use. room made a little dark by muslin blinds. missed a kettle for a cup of tea but staff always willing to help.

This was an atmospheric and interesting conversion of an old Belgian farmhouse, with a nice courtyard and very spacious rooms. Although quite a walk from the town centre, the area is very pleasant and there is a regular bus into the centre from just outside the hotel. For Leuven, the parking was very good: underground, but spacious and secure. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely helpful.

Our room must have once been a barn. It was really interesting and tastefully restored, but could be improved with a reading light and maybe a shower curtain to make showering in the freestanding bath easier.

Great location, good to have a restaurant on site which serves quality food and an excellent breakfast. Room was comfortable but a little cold on entry. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious and welcome was friendly and professional. Wifi is great which allowed me to work from the bar or from the room.

No coffee or tea facilities in the room and not a lot of space to put your suitcase as well as use the desk Cold room on entry which took a while to heat up. Parking on site costs 10€ a day which I think should be included in the price

The hotel is a bit out of the city, but it is across from a very pretty part of the campus with a great park and beautiful buildings. The Greek restaurant across the street was delicious and friendly. The walk into the city center went through a forest beside a stream and then through a very beautiful old part of town - so it was very pleasant, though a few kilometers.

Our room was very comfortable, it as a great location for sightseeing, and the breakfast was very good. One of the front desk managers was exceptionally helpful on our arrival and saved the day with a major problem with my mobile phone, which could have very easily have been lost. He recovered my mobile phone fully working from a very difficult position within which it had fallen accidently. It was personal service well beyond the call of duty.

Beautiful location in a calm leafy suburb of Leuven. Spacious beautiful rooms. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and good quality food. Very nice restaurant area with large terrace.

Confusion on our arrival about our choice of rooms. Poor communication but it was finally sorted out and we enjoyed our stay

I stayed in the new modular rooms which were excellent, spacious, warm and cosy . My colleagues stayed in the older part of the hotel and there was a smell of stale water in the rooms ?carpets.

Room was extra large, and it could warm up quite easily. Breakfast was superb in so lovely decorated space. The hotel was 30 minutes walk from the centre, but it was in very quite and nice area, with less than 10 min walk to KU Leuven. Would recommend it and come again on the next visit to Leuven!
