Victoria House Motor Inn

Very comfortable with plenty of rugs and a comfortable sofa. It was reproduction Victorian, like an old inn. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The husband carried our big suitcases upstairs since there is no lift. It was on the highway but noise wasn’t a problem. Well equipped kitchen. Only a stovetop, not an oven but that was not an issue. There were electric appliances.

No real negatives. The only thing was my single bed did not have a bedside table, so I moved one from near the sofa. It also did not have a reading lamp, and I was the one who would have liked to read in bed. The queen bed did have them. I pack a portable one when travelling overseas but had forgotten it on this trip.

I was honestly so surprised how beautiful those Motor Inn was for the low price we paid - not going to lie we were fully expecting low quality motel vibes because we just needed a place to stay and it was the cheapest in the area - but to our suprise it was SO NICE. The old Victorian vibes were beautiful, the place felt very fresh and well maintained while still keeping it's antique look. Beds were super comfy and for a place to sleep it was nice. Obviously no fancy tv and no real kitchenette but everything is there as described. Would definitely stay here again in the future and recommend to others! (P.s staff were exceptional and very flexible!)

Probably that there was no kitchen tap or kitchenette but this is what I would expect if I paid more - it wasn't listed in description so not actually disappointed by this at all.

oh my goodness. This property is superb. So obviously put together by two people who are incredibly proud of the space. Both owners are friendly, kind and approachable. We were travelling for work with our 5 month old baby and we’re kindly given a room with a bath to make our time a little more comfortable. The beds are comfortable, and made for us every day while we were away. On a main road but you wouldn’t know it. No noise from the cars whatsoever. We also didn’t hear a peep from our neighbours. the car park was full so we assumed each room was as well - but you wouldn’t know it. A brilliant stay. We will be visiting again!

Nothing at all. This was a better stay than we could have hoped for.

I love the over all look of Victoria House. It is like stepping back in time when quality was around. No cheap tinsel furniture but homely, comfortable and quality. If you are looking for friendly caring hosts then look no further than here. Thank you for the most wonderful stay :)

I only had 1 small issue which was a bit embarrasing for me. I am a big girl and well it was rather a tight squeeze to be able to get in the shower. Super embarrased I am but it is what it is. Not the owners fault but mine. It would be nice though if all size's could be comfortably catered for. Thank you

I liked the hospitality of the owners. I requested late check-out and they granted on check out day as my son hadnt had a good sleep, they not only granted a late check-out but we received a knock on our room at midday and the lovely lady had bought waffles in for us as they were trying out their new waffle machine. It made my morning and def my son's morning!!! My son and I stayed in the spa suite and there was ample space. Easy to find and locate and public transport easily walkable. Clean and nice smelling with a beautiful balcony and lots of privacy and a beautiful cherry tree outside of our room. If your looking for comfort, service and privacy with good homestyle service and friendly service that isn't invasive, then this is the place to book! We will be back again :)

Nothing we didn't like!

The bed is soooooo comfy! Breakfast is amazing! And the price is worth it! They even sent the breakfast to our room. Staff is amazing😍 Eventhough its located next to the road, but its quiet, it is really soundproofing, what a relaxing weekend we had with my husband.

Spa bath with shower on it its not a good idea, but its not a big deal. 😅 For me, the bed is matter. I love the bed, it was so comfy and we had a good sleep and I wish to check for the brand but I forgot about it. 😅

There is not a lot of quality accommodation in this part of greater Melbourne. This is a stand out. The room was huge and well appointed. The bathroom was nearly as big as some hotel rooms I have stayed at in the past. The reception was very welcoming and helpful. This will be my goto when I am next in this part of Melbourne.

Struggling to find something bad about this accommodation. Seriously exceeded my expectations.

Super friendly staff. Spacious and well-appointed rooms – timeless rather than tired. I was concerned that my room, which overlooked the highway, would prove to be noisy, but the double glazed windows did the trick. I slept soundly all night.

There was no iron and ironing board. A very slight complaint, which I’m sure the staff would quickly resolve with a short phone call. This is a long way of saying there’s almost nothing to complain about.

Rooms are big and spacious. I liked the decor. Breakfast was very good. The hosts were great to talk to. The free internet was of good speed and connected reliably without any problems. Parking was nice and secure. I had a room facing the main road and I had no issues with noise.

I couldn't cast to the TV. But I still had a laptop to stream with.

Location is ideal for purpose of our stay. Cannot give enough thanks to the lovely owners who are always so accommodating and very friendly. My son loves staying here and asks everytime can we stay here. They remember his name and our previous convos which make it feel tailored and valued. They are accommodating to requests and always have prompt communication when booking. 5 star for customer service and comfort !
