Airway Motel

Good facilities, mostly clean (see below), comfortable, good blinds, good AC. Good location, quick to CBD, valley or nearby cafes and pubs. Close to airport. No real road noise even though it's at a crossroads. Helpful staff. VERY fast internet.

Bathroom drain was beyond gross, but everything else was clean. I just covered it with bathmat. A teeny bit on the small side but totally functional/workable room. I was even able to work there during the day in comfort. Some plane noise and nearby rail crossing the train will honk at. Can easily hear room neighbours talking or coughing, bbq and pool just outside, and generally not much noise insulation. But overall it tended to be quiet from at least 10 to 6, so a minor gripe.

The room was quiet and clean and we slept well. The courtyard had great amenities (pool, barbecue, tables, etc.). Parking was tight but manageable. There was a laundry available as well which was welcomed.

The courtyard had great amenities but was largely off limits to us as smoking was allowed and it stunk as a result. I am sure that most visitors would enjoy this space much more if it were designated non-smoking. Just have the smokers go off the property. Given that our room opened onto the courtyard, we always had to rush in and out to minimize time in the smoke.

I liked the size of the room, and the cleanliness was spot on. Location close to the airport was great, and not far from the M1 motorway or the city. My kids loved the pool.

The lack of designated parking for each unit was fustrating. Twice I left the motel only to return both times and all parks had been fulled. It turned into a lollie scramble for parking. Also there were no plates or bowls in which to eat off in the room, which was a first for me. Other then those 2 negatives, the rest of my stay was positive, and the property was presented well. I would definitely stay again.

Arriving into town on a late flight the Airway Motel suited our purpose perfectly. They were great with their communications and arrangement for our late arrival. The room had been recently renovated/re-furbished and was well presented.

At the time of night that we arrived the traffic was negligible, but at peak hour it may have been a little different the way that goggle maps took us from the airport. But it was our choice to stay at this location on a financial decision.

Being close to the airport was convenient having access to a shopping centre and sportsbar across the road was also helpful for our last night in Brisbane. And being from Townsville we really cherished the heater in the cooler months. Amazing 👍

Room is basic and is worth what you get. We had an early flight (430am) and the street was busy with wanderers who approached us for money and for our room key...luckily they accepted my partners decline once i dropped the key into the drop box...praise goes to the Airway Motel for all the lights out the front so we could see clearly below us out the front therefore we were prepared.

For the price is was a fair stay - bathroom presented clean and tidy and room was adequate. Free parking on site was great and the Woolworths, train station, bus stops and proximity to the airport nearby make it a very central spot.

the fridge and microwave were not clean. the pillows were of low quality - but for the price point not a deal breaker. the toilet/shower room could use ventilation - No windows or exhaust in this room. I didn’t see any other reviews mentioning this; so I thought I’d just point out that the motel is across the road from the train line - the train toots almost every time is passes.we found this alarming especially at night and in the early morning.

Clean rooms, well furnished and equipped and good wifi most of the time. Lovely pool. Very helpful and friendly staff (thank you!) Woolworths and Gallopers Sports club (good pub food) both within easy walking distance Handy for airport and next to a train station. Highly recommended!

WiFi signal weak in the morning but better closer to reception office. Aircon unit had a timer function which I couldn't reset, but these were minor issues.

Location for us was perfect being close to the airport and a security car park where we left our car before flying to Sydney. The room was very clean and well presented, the bed comfortable (although I personally found the pillows a bit hard) and we were able to park our car right outside our room. We asked for a ground floor room which was provided. Staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. Overall we found the place restful with a nice atmosphere.

The motel is located directly under the flight path of aircraft arriving and leaving the Brisbane airport which made is quite noisy at times. Also a railway line is opposite the motel and near a road crossing so the trains announced their approach which was quite loud but gratefully this was not often. Neither of these would be a dealbreaker for us. Although not a negative, the room we had is starting to show its age - this didn’t bother us at all.

Friendly and helpful staff.Bathroom was very clean. Beds well made.Room I had was well lit. A guy helped carry my luggage round the corner and up the flight of stairs to my room on the first floor.

I had no one to help me with my luggage the next morning. I had to struggle with both suitcases down the stairs. So always check if there is a room on ground floor if you have bff

I loved walking into a room that smelt and looked clean. The beds were comfy and I appreciate the extra blankets for the cold night. Spacious room for 4 people to stay in. I like that there was undercover parking and the option to park off the street, though spots are limited to first in best dressed.
