Hyatt Place Madison/Verona

This hotel is located on the East side of Verona which made it very convenient for visiting my WI family. During the day, there were no people around. It was like our own private gym and pool. By the evening, though, it was full of activity. I'm guessing it must get a lot of business use. The breakfast spread was great. Highly recommend. There is a growing amount of commercial activity around the hotel - Costco, restaurants, etc. It is on the bike trail to Madison (Badger State Trail) and in close proximity to the Ice Age Trail if you are a hiker.

A very nice motel. Staff was great. The location is close to 3 very good restaurants and Wisconsin Brewing Company. Costco basically right across the street. The room was spotless and probably the quietest motel I've ever stayed in. No noise from other doors or people down the hall. The breakfast offered consisted of sausage, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy as well as the regular continental breakfast offerings. There was a pool and bar and an outside area with a very nice long fire pit. Outside eating offered off the bar and breakfast area. Just a really nice place to stay.

The only thing I can think of is the in-room coffee only had enough condiment packets for one cup and there were 4 coffee and 4 tea "bags." However, at the front entrance there was always 3 canisters available.

Large room with nice amenities. We had a few small maintenance issues with our room (clogged drain, etc) but the staff was quick to fix it & make things right.

It was hard to enjoy the pool area for long. Fumes from the pool chlorine were very strong & it was muggy from the pool being heated. The ability to open windows during the summer might have helped.

Beautiful facility

Shuttle from the Airport was not available, although it was advertised at the time I reserved the booking. I had to pay $43 for an Uber when I found out after my plane landed that I didn't have a ride to the hotel. I would recommend adding a vending machine with a variety of soft drink options like Dr Pepper for guests. The bar just had Pepsi.

The room was very comfortable and we barely heard the guests around us. The breakfast was way better than expected! It was a buffet with assorted items including pancakes, eggs, potatoes, sausage and more.

The sliding door for the bathroom in the room was uncomfortable. There was not a lot of sound or light proofing.

Large barking dog two rooms down, owners let him chew up a stick in the hallway and left it all over. Owners are also not picking up after their dogs outside. Not the hotels fault but it sucks and this is why places charge so much for their pet fees. Wish there were more responsible dog owners.

I am not sure this is a negative per se as it is somewhat understandable given the pandemic and national mood.The staff are pretty indifferent and ostensibly going through the motions. Never received housekeeping et al. There were probably 20-30 guests in the entire place so I think it is a bare bones operation. Still, Hyatt is a trusted brand for me, and given the circumstances, it was still a nice stay.

Newer hotel. Comfortable room. Staff was very friendly. I like ther was a bar, but I did not take advantage of it due to responsibilities and a mild health issue.

Breakfast was not available until too late for my purposes. I had a 30 minute drive to where I was teaching and had to be there by 0700.

Staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Especially recognize bartender, Vinnie, and, front desk Victoria & "Mike" The king suite with sofa is spacious and perfect for a couple.

Rooms need to be vacuumed between guests, but otherwise very clean rooms.

The staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in the door until I left. Missy went above and beyond to make sure my family had a great stay. I even got a call making sure everything in my room was to my satisfaction. I have never had that before and it was appreciated. It showed how much Missy wanted me to be happy with my stay. She was always fast to help us. Missy was down to earth and even shared some laughs with us. Great job Missy. On the morning of our departure we had another very friendly woman helping us. I didn’t catch her name unfortunately. We traveled with kids and met with other family members also. Kids are messy. As we were at breakfast we had two separate times of things getting spilled all over the tables and floor. We asked for a mop to clean it up and she came out and insisted it was ok and even cleaned it up instead of letting us do it. The staff is what made this a great short trip for our family. The pool was nice the bathroom in the pool area was ice cold though. Overall I was very happy with the stay and would recommend it to anyone.
