Courtyard Newport News Airport

Great location. It was close to restaurants and close to the highway. The staff were very helpful during check-in and check-out. The pool was really nice and the hot tub was perfect. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.

The car park was a little small to accommodate the size of the property. The window to my room opened to the apartment complex next door, so I had to keep the curtains drawn whenever I changed for the day or night.

I enjoy the size and cleanest. The staff was great and went out of there way to provide good service.

I don’t like paying full price and not getting daily room service. We shouldn’t pay for service you don’t get. COVID is not a valid excuse.

The room was very clean and staff were very kind and accommodating.

A few things I can say I didn't like was the misinformation from reservations saying the pool was open and then getting to check in just to find out it wasn't. Really wasn't anything big. Also our air con wasn't working right so they had to reset it but it was still kind of warm. We didn't have a microwave nor a coffee maker since some rooms are not equipped with them.

The room was clean, and the furnishings were modern. The bed was comfortable. All of the staff at the reception desk were extremely friendly and welcoming. Kudos to the staff for being so friendly!

The only minor issues were some mildew in the shower and the shower door leaked onto the bathroom floor.

The rooms were nice! Very large bathroom with a walk-in, stand-up shower. Could fit 3 people in there! Comfortable bed and the room setup was great. Great price for such a spacious room! I've paid way more to stay in much smaller rooms with closet sized bathrooms.

There wasn't anything major to dislike at all! But they did ask so here it is! This is extremely nitpicky but...the remote control for the TV was very unresponsive at times and the TV itself seemed small (only for subtitled shows) so when laying in bed watching a show with subtitles it was a little difficult to read them. Also, the in-house bistro was advertised while booking, in the elevators, and I believe it was even mentioned upon check-in only to find out later that it was closed for COVID reasons. And lastly, there was no heavy cover on the bed; only a thin meshlike top cover that didn't really help much more than the sheet. Once again, all nitpicky things that didn't take away from how great the place is, especially for the price.

The staff was friendly. Helped us with all our request. No problem.

The mattress seem to need updating. The fridge did not keep cool enough.

I like the hospitality.

I didn't like the damp smell in the room. There is no Body Wash in the shower. If House Keeping cleaned the bathroom, they would know that. Who knows how long that bottle has been empty. Disgusting

I loved the space and cleanliness of the room. I like that the love sofa turns into a pullout bed, in case you have company/guests. I didn’t actually have breakfast but it smelled delicious.

I have no complaints.

The rooms were very nice and clean

There was never anyone to bring you towels late at night. you had to go down and get them, because only one person was working the desk

the staff was we’re very nice and accommodating. very friendly and helpful!

the facility is great! if I may suggest and I know it’s not needed all the time but it would be good to have a wheelchair for clients who would need it.
