Motel 6-Mount Jackson, VA - Shenandoah

The location is great..close to Endless, Luray & Shenandoah Caverns. Shenandoah National park / Skyline drive.

The beds are not comfortable at all And I DO NOT like the fact that people smoke right outside the rooms that are Clearly marked NON SMOKING . My daughter and myself both have serve smoke allergies and asthma the room reeked of cigarettes we used 2 cans of frebreeze to try get rid of it. The smoke kept coming in. THEY NEED TO MAKE IT CLEAR NO SMOKING!!! AND MAKE A DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA FOR THOSE WHO MUST SMOKE.

This Motel6 is conveniently located right next to the highway. We stayed in a room facing the highway but did not wake from any noise. The parking lot is also very well lit and we felt safe arriving around 11PM. The room itself is renovated, with laminate flooring. This type of flooring made the room feel much cleaner than other typical carpeted Motel 6's. The room provides a desk for computer work, a decent sized small fridge, and a microwave. We stayed in the king bedroom and felt the room was very spacious. While room cleaning was not performed between the 2 nights we stayed, the housekeeping staff did replenish our towels and left a note to let us know they were readily available if we needed additional cleaning. The Motel 6 is also conveniently located next to a Food Lion for quick groceries if needed.

There was no coffee machine, shampoo, conditioner, or lotion provided. The location is also close enough to Shenandoah and Luray Caverns, but still requires about a 30min drive on mountain roads.

Clean and very comfortable bed. Staff was nice.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. There was a slight computer glitch regarding my reservation, but the manager was able to straighten it out quickly. Overall, a very nice place to overnight during my trip. I would definitely stay here again when I'm traveling.

"Do Not Disturb" placards are not available which is inconvenient. This seems to be the way Motel 6 does things as it was the same at 2 of their other properties I stayed at earlier this month.

1. Girl at front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Forgot her name but she has reddish hair. 2. We needed a bottom room with no steps . Was able to walk from car right into room. She took care of that. “ SWEET GIRL “ 3. Parking area had enough space between vehicles so my vehicle was not in danger of getting a dent in it because of other cars opening their door. 4. Felt safe because our outside room and parking was very well lit up 5 ICE MACHINE WORKED AND WAS A REASONABLE WALK FROM OUR ROOM. 6.No carpet. Laminated floor. 7. Room had microwave/ fridge 8. Clean towels and sheets.

1. Room to small. 2. Needs a small table and another chair. Had to eat on bed using a towel to protect bedding from crumbs. 3. No coffee pot in room. 4. No breakfast 5. Fridge had , what looked like black mold on inside back area where water drains. 6. No small room safe. 7. May sound trivial but beds had no headboards . Headboards and things like that makes the room look much nicer. 8. My personal opinion is that all motels are overpriced. I believe our room should be priced no more than $50 bucks. This is my opinion. BUT I would stay here again unless I found a better price elsewhere and the place was clean and comfortable.

The room seems to be recently updated. The bed was super comfortable. All the staff I've spoken with has been extremely helpful & accommodating. There was no additional pet fee. I'm not sure if it's low occupancy or the walls are really well insulated, but I don't hear anything!!

The soda machine was empty. During yesterday's afternoon storm, the rain blew under the door & made a puddle. There was only one trash can. While it's nice that the outside is so well lit & I do appreciate it, it makes sleeping difficult sometimes. A coffee pot would be nice, but it's not like it's a necessity.

It's a bargain hotel, so there were not a lot of extras in the room. No coffee pot,but coffee in the lobby. No shampoo in room but ready at front desk No restaurant attached or breakfast, but sheets, Hardee's and burger king close by.

Normally, we avoid Motel 6 but due to this one's location in Mount Jackson, we went for it. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room (102) was spotless.

The location was adjacent to a truck stop and interstate ramps. The noises of semis using their engines as brakes can be quite loud.

Loved the staff and the location! Scenic place and lots of things to do close by. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and warm. They gave us tips on the things to do like the covered bridge, three caverns, a swinging bridge, several hiking trails,the local flea market as well a tour of the local potato chip plant. Also told me about several museums in new market. They had an outdoor pool that will open after labor day,and even tho the rooms were not luxury, they were very clean.

The location was great, right in the middle of all towns or areas we wanted to visit! Would definitely stay again! The staff was very welcoming and kind! Our room was clean and had things we used!

That there was no soaps in the bathroom, and there were no drawers with bibles,, call us crazy but every hotel or motel that we've stayed has always had a Bible in there of the night stand!! Oh also no alarm clocks/clocks anywhere in the rooms, but other than that our stay was great.
