The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful in moving out of the first room which was right next to the construction going on in the hotel. The laundry facilities were very convenient. The bathroom was a good size and great water pressure.

There was a lot of construction and quite a strong smell of paint on the second floor which is why we moved to the bottom floor. The pool feels like it's right in the middle of a parking lot, perhaps putting up some privacy fencing would make it feel more relaxing.

the property was clean and the staff was exceptional

when we booked the room, we were told that there would be a breakfast and we were also told that there was a sleeper sofa for one of my children. Neither one was actually an option which made my daughter and son have to share a bed and I was not expecting to pay $2 a yogurt or tiny box of $2 cereal which required a tiny $3 milk.

The check-in process was more complicated than it needed to be. No breakfast or coffee in the lobby in the morning

I chose this hotel because it allows pets. I’ve stayed with this chain before and find them consistently comfortable and clean.

the dog area is small and it grossly littered with dog poo from guests that didn’t clean up after their pets.

I like that the rooms and facility was very clean! Staff was friendly & helpful.

When I made a reservation, I requested a King size bed and the hotel said it was because of Booking.com that I didn't receive my bed of choice. I was upset about that, because the double beds are just too small.

Where to begin. Staff is amazing, very professional and courteous. The room is huge compared to any other Motel I’ve stayed in before and as a traveling worker I’ve stayed in a lot of motels. Very clean and very quiet. Beds are comfortable. I always try to find a suite with a kitchenette so I do not have to eat junk food. I have my own set of dishes, pots and pans and silverware I carry with me. Candlewood has it all covered. Washer and dryer usage is free another first. I recommend Candlewood to anyone in the downtown San Antonio area. It seems a little pricey until all amenities are discovered.

The bathroom was still from the 1980’s. Old worn vanity with a mirror frame that was missing chunks. Really needs work.

Beds are very uncomfortable, altho the time was very clean. Daytime front desk not friendly at all. Location too close to freeway in an not so yeah I can feel safe walking outside as a woman to my car alone area. For location rooms overpriced
