Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Chattanooga Downtown, an IHG Hotel

This was our 2nd stay here over the last 5 years and there were several pleasant surprises. We arrived much earlier than the scheduled check in but the wonderful desk manager had housekeeping prepare our room immediately which was very much appreciated. Also, the breakfast was surprisingly well stocked and very tasty. The previous stay was less pleasant due to extensive road and sidewalk work being done out front by the City of Chattanooga, but this was perfect and now after those repairs you can walk anywhere downtown.

The bed was too high and the toilet to low, but otherwise everything was perfect!

Room was very clean. I also very much liked the RFID chip cards for room entry. That is a much better, surer method than the previous card insertion stuff.

The beds are high enough to make it difficult for my wife to get in. They were not really comfortable being a bit too hard. Also the breakfast was disappointing. There was no waffle maker and what is normally scrambled eggs were made into omelettes. They were OK but I would have greatly preferred just scrambled eggs. We also tried the indoor pool but it was too cold for comfort.

Wonderful location in the heart of Chattanooga. It was safe, quiet, elegant, and also had personality. Staff was friendly and natural in a way that made us think we got a taste of the city and it’s vibe. The room was SPACIOUS. I thought it was handicap accessible but then realized they’re all that roomy. Simple, pleasant window view and the beds! 😱 OMG! Such luxury..had to laugh when I recalled a review on the website that complained of the bed heights..because yes they were high. So stately that my four year old made an impromptu ladder to scale the bed! We adored everything about the room from the microwave to sizeable fridge to the shear window covering to -definitely- the linens. I took a bath and had no concerns about cleanliness of the tub and we chomped on ice from the ice maker for hours. Just super pleased with everything. Nice to see staff whistling while they work (nod to laundry room). Another practical luxury was the laundry room. We actually really needed it after our arduous journey. I like doing my own laundry also so that was a plus. Okay, one more good thing: the hotel was busy (first time we went through Chattanooga weeks earlier it was booked solid) with what appeared to me to be locals. At no time was it loud or overwhelming either. We easily ordered delivery because the hotel is well marked and near the downtown area. Hey I guess I have a lot to say about this experience! My kids ❤️ the Holiday Inn Express Chattanooga as well so yet another awwwwesome!

Not a thing.

The location was very convenient for the Chattanooga Marathon and easily accessible from the highway. The front desk staff was especially kind every time we passed by.

There was a broken hinge on a door leading to the back parking lot (from the stairs) that was standing wide open to the outside multiple times during our stay. I told the staff about it for safety reasons.

Location was great!! 5 mins away from the center, where everything is located. The pool was great warm and its stay open till 11 pm...that was a plus. The room was very clean and the bathroom is very spacious. The bonus part they already have Dove pump body wash, shampoo and conditioner pump in the shower for you. The lounge chair was very nice and the desk area was great.

It was a teenage party goin on. So the lobby was very loud and they took over the pool area.

It was clean, staff were very helpful, breakfast was sufficient.

the pool was closed for resurfacing and I had booked this hotel specifically because it had an indoor pool. it was disappointing that we were not informed of the pool closure at the time of booking or even before arrival.

Everything that we needed was provided!

I'm very grateful for the help of the staff. They were very understanding, and we were so grateful that they accepted cash as well as card. The othe Holiday inn Expressr hotel however only took card and that seems to be a problem for people who travel from out of state and can't transfer money right away back on to their card

Convenience of location, free parking, great breakfast, super clean and comfortable room. Overall, extremely pleased with our stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Rooms were a touch dated but still enjoyable. No true complaints. Would definitely stay again.

The person whom checked us in the night of arrival was funny, outgoing, wonderful personality, she made us feel welcome. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, my grandchildren loved the pool. Breakfast was fresh and kept replenished. Would stay again.

Our room faced the highway, traffic was busy.

The property was very comfortable and new looking. It was extremely clean! The front desk staff were very nice, and the free breakfast was great and had a great selection of items! Will definitely stay here again!
