Element Philadelphia Downtown

The room was cute with a great view. Staff was very nice and location was a block away from the subway that took us right to where we need to go (this was suggested by staff which I loved).

Parking was a nightmare. Pulling up for valet with check in was horrible. 2 rows of cars, everyone was beeping at you while you waited for someone to come help. Then they gave you a card when a number to text when you need your car. We texted the number when we were about to check out and it wasn’t working so we called the front desk and they went on their computer and said they would let them know. 30 minutes later we went down with our luggage like we were told and they took our number again. There was no organization. They didn’t go in order. People that had just walked up 15 minutes prior were getting their car before people waiting for over an hour. We ended up waiting for an hour and half for our car. And for $60 a night, it could be a little more organized.

Location of the hotel was great. only the receptionist needs to give better information regarding the housekeeping service ( every other day service etc. ) and the valet service and so on. other than this we really enjoyed the stay here.

Definitely valet service. we had lots of issues with this service and hotel manager willing to compensate everything regarding this issue. however they really need to fix this valet problem.

We dealt with the reception desk upon arriving and they were friendly and helpful. The room was one of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in. We really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen in the room. The view was great. The couch was comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. It did not feel like a hotel room, it felt more like an apartment. Hats off to the cleaning crew that made us feel like we were staying in a brand new unit! Not a scuff, scratch, or crumb on anything!

If I had to point out something that we thought could have been better, I would say the sheets. They were scratchy and noisy. We also wish we could have rotated the TV out to be able to watch while lying in bed.

So glad I cancelled the first hotel we booked when I found this one. Loved everything about this hotel. Location, clean, has friendly staff. Even has a guest laundry. You can buy snacks and drinks. Ice available at front desk. Beds were comfy. Breakfast is your average hotel breakfast. Would definitely come back to this hotel.

The only thing I didn't like was the room that we had, the air conditioner vent was blowing right on us. Tried to adjust vent but was not adjustable. Bed just needs to be moved facing a different direction.

The breakfast was a gift card because their in-house breakfast was closed. The biggest concern that I have was not with the hotel, but with booking.com. Booking.com told me there was FREE PARKING. I ARRIVED AT THE HOTEL AND WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $60 A NIGHT FOR PARKING! I have paperwork from booking.com that parking was free. I would like the $180 that was spent for parking. Please advise. Thank you.

Booking.com told me there was FREE parking. That is why I booked the hotel. Make sure that other people know that the parking is NOT free. DISAPPOINTED that booking.com states parking is FREE, BUT IT IS NOT!

the cleanliness

check in for 2 nights… request for extra coffee from the desk but never came, only provide 2 towels for 2 nights for 2 adults, waited for more than 30 minutes for the car on check out.

The valet parking price and it took them 45 to bring my vehicle to the front of the hotel. I sent my text at 7:28, the message stated that it would be 20 minutes to get my car, it was 8:15 when they came with car’ other people were waiting just as long for their vehicles! We had a planned concert that started at 8, we didn’t arrive at the venue until 9:15! Because of the valet parking I don’t think I would stay here again

The location was perfect, central location to alot of things to do. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

The valet seemed expensive and the valet drivers could have more professional attire and demeanor. I definetly didn't trust them with my vehicle. The breakfast needs improvement (the eggs were very dry and stale).

Breakfast was amazing because of Gentleman who ensued everything was beautifully prepared. The front desk receptionist named “Lance” definitely deserves special senior level company recognition. The Valet was very organized, proficient and prompt despite the various challenges.

When you walk into the hotel from the street level entrance it wrecks of an awful smell not sure if this is controllable.

This was my second stay at the Element I enjoyed my stay although the executive room 1 king corner suite city view is no bigger than there 1 king city corner view there was a extra chair but I didn't notice a difference just in price which it was more Besides that unfortunate thing all went well.

Room size for executive was no bigger then the room I received last year an it was not an executive suite.
