UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel & Conference Center

It was clean hotel with a nice pool and exercise room. The bar was nice with good bartenders. The valets were very helpful too. Good location as even though it wasn’t right in downtown had a short train ride. Train right in front. Plenty of places to walk to too.

When we arrived the front desk just stared at us and the person who was to help us said his computer was frozen which is fine. But 2 other people just stared and didn’t offer to help us check in. Very uncomfortable. The parking was odd, never had to stay in a lot not owned by the hotel. It was right there but you had to pay.

Bathroom lighting is terrible. Outlet cover in bathroom was broken and couldn't plug anything into it as we were scared it would break off

It was beautiful, very clean & modern. The staff was exceptionally pleasant.

The only reason I did not give a 10 rating is because there is no free parking and we were unaware. So be prepared to park in a parking garage every time you leave you have to pay. Make sure you have that extra money to cover the parking garage fee. If you stay more than one night it definitely adds up and if you leave several times a day then you’re screwed.

The Valet service was phenomenal. Check in and drop off was easy and pleasant. It was extremely close to PNC as advertised/expected. Excellent area for shopping and food.

The air A/C would not stop running on auto no matter where you set the temperature. It was 63 in our room and just had to turn it off and on.

Location!! Location!! Location!! Easy access via local trains, buses or car hire just feet away from the hotel, and valet parking is actually available on the property so you can drive your own vehicle if you like! Exterior pool on the main level looked pretty inviting. Knowledgeable, friendly, staff willing to assist and made your stay more enjoyable. Sanitizer stations located on each floor area. Appreciated security access feature on the higher floors with the campus viewing. Dining amenities outside the property are plentiful and accessible by car or walking distance during the warm weather. Urgent care and main hospital is worth noting near the area if needed. Lots of good reasons to visit again this year!!

What happened to the carpeting in the hotel rooms??!!?? The hallways and elevator entrances on were carpeted so it was a little surprising to wake up on a cool floor. Bring slippers!! No robe provided with the room upgrade either. Make note to self on 6th floor University view...the gigantic HAVAC unit can be heard LOUDLY during the night if you’re a light sleeper. Don’t book on this side again. EVER!!

the location was nice ! The University was nice to tour. Many food options around. The bar inside and restaurant were nice inside as well.

we had a view of a rooftop. that was sad and we did have to pay to park in the garage across the hotel. It wasn’t communicated until check in. it was only $15 so that wasn’t bad.

Location was close to the concert venue we were attending. There were several food options and shops nearby.

It was a little confusing getting to the lobby. It’s upstairs and the sign is small so we passed it several times. Also the parking garage across the street is a bit expensive. It was $15 to park overnight.

The area is in walking distance to a lot of eateries. Quiet environment, friendly staff, very accommodating to your needs as the guest. I will always book here anytime I visit Charlotte.

I can’t seem to find any flaws.

It was good

No continental breakfast or complimentary coffee, Price was okay if you ate in the restaurant but if you got it prepared to go it was like 15 to 20% more.

the self parking I did not like getting out and in the garage, you have to get an ticket every time and you have to go to the front desk to get it validated every time if not you have to pay which I already paid for the whole day and still was charged
