Inn at Glencairn

I loved every single thing about this property! The Inn is absolutely charming. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean! The grounds were perfect for my morning meditation and reflection. And Lydia, What an absolute GEM. She is quite simply an amazing human being, super capable and runs the Inn like a well oiled machine. And don’t get me started on the incredible breakfasts, she is an amazing cook!! The breakfasts are to die for. But above all, she showed me so much kindness at a time that I really needed it. She is an incredible human being, an angel, and someone who’s thoughtfulness and kindness I will never forget. Thank you so much Lydia -Keep on doing the work you do, it is Gods work 🙏🏽🙏🏽🤗🤗🤗

Everything was INCREDIBLE!!

Lydia is an exceptional cook and devoted foodie. Makes her own yoghurt and harvests her own honey. And lives in the attic. What more could you want? Her breakfasts (the only meal she serves) is legendary in the area, at least among those who follow foodie legends. She made a special effort to obtain gluten free ingredients for my Celiac spouse, including GF flour for awesome pancakes. Our third stay and it's definitely our go-to place in the Princeton area now.

The bathrooms are crowded and bit tired but it's a B&B converted from an historic home. Stretching here for a constructive criticism. Totally OK, though. My sister's bathrooms are smaller.

Incredible stay. Hospitality at its best. Quaint, cozy house in excellent location. True experience from interior, surroundings, host, breakfast. Impeccable.

The Inn is an historic property. Don't expect the Ritz. The house is completely charming and creaks. But everything you need is there including a very comfortable bed and pillows. It's amazing how much difference good pillows make. It's run by a single innkeeper, Lydia, who makes a wonderful breakfast, lives in the house, and is available 24/7.

Nothing if you recognize what it is -- essentially a great B&B in a former personal residence. Some would say it's a little pricy for that but the Princeton area is pricy. The most comparable nearby property is probably the Peacock Inn which is often 2X.

Loved the room, everything about the inn. Was so unbelievably quiet went to sleep and no noise what so ever, slept the entire night without waking up, the only noise you notice is the low hum of the A/C which could be considered white noise and helps you fall asleep. The main room down stairs has free drinks, wine, hot chocolate and a Keurig, and a small fridge that all guest can share. Breakfast was amazing great the inn keeper Lydia is an amazing cook very friendly and adds a touch of warmth to the place., Also loved the home made cookies in the room. Its only about 12 mins from Ground for Sculpture which we came from, so if your visiting from far away stay here,

The Pillows were kind of flat and not to fluffy, floors creeks allot but that add charm to the 300+ year old house, so not really a complaint. Nothing else to really complain about.

So comfortable, elegant, totally felt at home. Lydia was a superb host! breakfasts to die for!! absolutely a wonderful stay, 2nd time around. will always want to go, would love to go in warmer weather too to enjoy Princeton.

The breakfast was amazing - but unfortunately we could not have breakfast with our friends that we were traveling with - since the other people that were staying there booked the times we were looking for.

I understand that they wanted to social distance everyone for breakfast - but maybe tell people in advance so if you are arriving late you can request the same times with people you are traveling with. Not a complaint - just a suggestion.

Beautiful historic house that has thought of all a travellers needs. We were a party of three and we book a suite. Two comfortable rooms that worked for us and our adult child. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Town is a short country drive away. A little hard to navigate at night but it is close. Several bottles of wine were available for guests to pour a complimentary glass in the evening to bring to the room or sip in the splendid 18th century living rooms or bring to your room. Freshly baked home cookies were also on offer. A top notch breakfast. Friendly staff. Steeped in history this is a wonderful place for a vacation or stopover.

At night the surrounding roads are dark

Very unique property and convenient location. Loved the traditional decoration and ambiance. Lydia was super helpful and welcoming. Definitely would want to return.

The road in front is a little loud but from inside of the room was perfectly ok.

Glencairn is serene and beautiful. Most mornings I went out and enjoyed the outdoor space. Lydia was readily available , kind and helpful . She guided us to very interesting sites and experiences in the surrounding areas. The breakfast was delicious and always on time. Lydia’s homemade chocolate truffle was delicious!
