Grand Beach Resort Hotel

The room and the view were very nice, so lovely to have a balcony over the beach. Fab views! The in-room coffee accommodation was also a nice surprise-Starbucks, fresh & hot.

We didn't like the rod used for the shower curtain; it bowed out beyond the space allotted for the tub/shower area and interfered with fully opening the door to the bathroom. We found that annoying because it always banged into the door. The Box Breakfast was actually our chief complaint. It was between yucky and so-so. Honestly, I would have been happier with donuts, muffins and Danish to go with the good room coffee. My travel companion just wanted a $10 daily refund or coupon to use at any nearby restaurant that served hot breakfast.

This was one of the cleanest, best kept hotels I’ve ever been to! Staff was friendly and attentive. Room with a view overlooking the bay provided amazing views! Woke up early everyday to swim in the indoor pool and take advantage of the hot tub. A nice little exercise room capped off each morning. I would always see the staff cleaning and keeping everything nice and neat. One young staff member, Aqui, a young girl from the Dominican Republic, was especially hard working. Saw her every morning sweeping sand off the patio, filling holes on the sand, cleaning the beach, and getting it ready for the guests to enjoy. This attention to detail made for an enjoyable stay and excellent vacation experience! Daily texts to inquire how everything was and if we needed anything just shows the attention to detail at this hotel. Can’t recommend it enough!

Nothing! Nicest hotel I’ve been to in many years!

We loved how friendly the staff were as soon as we checked in. Providing us recommendations and making sure all of our accommodations and requests were met (such as having the rollaway bed placed in our room before arrival). We loved the beach and the rest of the amenities as well.

Only complaint we had was the shower. The shower head didn’t produce hardly any water and the shower curtain made the entire bathroom wet with it being too short. This resulted in a soaking wet bathroom floor anytime someone showered. Lastly, everything was very clean but the comforter has stains from makeup on it - it was clean/washed but could use bleaching.

 The cleaning staff didn’t make accommodations for guests. For example, my sister, Nye, and another gentleman were waiting to get on the elevator as was one of the cleaning staff. When the elevator came down, she got on and left us there waiting still. Also, it’s a tight squeeze when you’re going down the hallway from the back of the hotel through the front desk where the laundry facilities are. In the morning when we came down for coffee, the cleaning staff seemed annoyed and uncooperative about getting out of the way for guests. We had to move for them rather than the other way around.

the room was great, especially for the rate we got last minute and off-peak season - I'm sure it would be out of our range during the summer months. Everything was perfect for an overnight stay. The Keurig in the lobby was also wonderful - I love my coffee first thing in the morning.

The boxed breakfast was a little lacking in my opinion. Instead of 4 very specific choices, I would have preferred to have a list of options to include in my box...tell me how many I can pick...and let me choose. The oatmeal was great, the apple was fine, but the OJ and water I would have skipped and chosen something else.

I liked that the room was spacious and came with a pull-out sofa sleeper. The complimentary breakfast was nice. I love that it's on the beach, yet also had a pool.

The pool area was overrun with rowdy teenagers running all around, screaming, throwing each other and balls into the pool. It made it difficult to feel safe swimming with my 4 year old. The front desk staff did come into the pool area to ask the kids to stop running around, but that was to ensure they didn't slip and fall and hurt themselves, I'm sure. There were several families with kids that didn't stay in the pool area because of all the rowdiness of the teenagers.

We did not like the box breakfast, it was very bland and cold, and did not like the choices. Me and the kids preferred to have a continental breakfast where we had choices with something hot, like eggs, waffles, or even bagels and biscuits. We ened up going out to eat somewhere else, which defeated the purpose of having breakfast included in our stay. Please go back to having a continental breakfast, its more of a homey feeling and I bet more people would appreciate it.

Bay view room was great! Appreciated that there is a breezeway so you can get to the pool without going outside in the snow and wind. We've stayed before and we'll stay again!

The $100 additional hold on your card was new this trip, and I was not happy about that! Parking is always a challenge. Breakfast was terrible. I expected a hot breakfast sandwich, what we got were cold/frozen hockey pucks in a plastic package that they expected you to microwave yourself. The bananas were hard and cold with no stems so opening them would have been rough without silverware. The juice and water that should have been cold were warm. We didn't eat it or even bother ordering the 2nd morning.

first of all when we entered the building the receptionist was very welcoming. later we saw great views from the windows and a wonderful pool with Jacuzzi. I expected the building and rooms to be cold in winter as it was close to the lake and it was windy. however, it was very warm and pleasant even in the swimming pool. the breakfast was exceptional. we were provided many options to choose from. the boxes were delivered to us at the time we wanted them. the beds were so comfortable, the shower was amazing , rooms very spacious and light. the atmosphere in the building was special. we will definitely come back here in summer 🤗

The breakfast delivery was such a convenient option. Wish more of the choices could've been gluten free. The pool temp was perfect!

The hot tub was too hot, quite uncomfortable. Some added security measures would be good... my husband hadn't been through the lobby at all, but walked in and asked to trade his key card for a new one since it wasn't working. He said which room number and was never questioned or asked for id before receiving a new card. It could've been anyone with instant access to our room.
