The breakfast was great and the woman who handles it was awesome.

Upon check-in the person at the desk could not have been less interested in us and was clearly not enjoying her job and did not make us feel welcome at all. Later this same person was in the lobby eating Little Ceasars pizza with friends while BLASTING heavy metal music. It was so weird. I actually said to my friend "I bet if management knew about this they would not be happy at all". I just thought it inappropriate for a hotel staff person to be doing this. Coupled with our original experience, I would rate front desk a Zero, BUT the rest of the hotel a 10. We were driving from Nebraska to Rhode Island and the property was the best one we visited on the way home!

Loved nearly everything about this hotel. The room was huge, very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The only complaint was the blinds weren't blockout ones so there was light from the sun then the parking lot lights at night. However, it's still one of the best hotels we've stayed in. There's also a Walgreens next door and a few restaurant options.

We didn't feel the staff were happy. On checkin it appeared that they didn't have a room ready so I think they may have given us an upgraded room (no complaints there) but we didn't feel welcomed on checked in. On checkout, the receptionist wasn't friendly which is a shame because the hotel impressed us otherwise.

I didn’t like the anonymous $150 added charge on my credit card after check in. The receptionist never mentioned it and has been over 24 hours later the charge still has not been reversed. Being a charge for incidentals should be reversed within 1 business day. I will have to call if it doesn’t get reversed by tomorrow. We were disappointed that the showers had no shelves for shampoo, conditioner, soap... kind of inconvenient to shave and constantly bending down to grab what I needed. Perhaps add some shelves to the showers for guests - The breakfast was ok. I don’t think the eggs were real.

What wasn't there to like in this room. It's fairly new. It's not perfect, but the pillows and the bed are pretty comfortable.

The tub drain was completely clogged with hair and while I was taking a shower, the tub water filled up to my ankles and I had to keep turning the water off so it could slowly drain. I ended up cleaning the drain out when I got done. There were kids in the parking lot slapping sticks on the light pole and I even saw one of them throw a piece towards a red F-150.

The place is great it's clean it looks like a new facility it's quiet I would say this is a well-established place with a good theme probably the best colors as the interior rooms are

$100 deposit I mean you got my credit card why you need $100 deposit if you can just charge it later I feel like a little kid when they say we need $100 deposit I'm a grown man a businessman with a business credit card and they do that a lot around here but it's getting ridiculous and takes a few days to get your deposit back I'm just not going to places where you have to pay deposit anymore I'm done with that it's ridiculous it's embarrassing

Wow! What a lovely hotel and experience! We were in town on a non-game Fall weekend. Just drove a full 20' UHaul from NYC and needed a stopover somewhere. Lobby was bright with great decor - really inviting. Check in was easy. We'd only just booked the room a couple hours prior to arrival. The room was EXCELLENT! CLEAN, spacious (we had a suite), and the BED WAS SO COMFORTABLE!!!!! Perfect in every way after all those miles on the road. Breakfast the next morning got the job done (scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, toast, cereal selection, waffles, juice, fruit, yogurt). Really nice eating area with comfy tables and chairs. HOT COFFEE AND TEA around the clock. I would stay here again if I was driving through South Bend.

We had trouble parking the truck since there were other large vehicles in the lot taking up spaces, so the overnight host allowed us to park in the entrance. What peace of mind! Sliding glass shower door was heavy - watch your fingers!

I stayed here for 5 nights in July - location was perfect for Notre Dame. I liked the spacious room and the clean fitness center, and the breakfast was good. The staff were really nice; they had a band-aid ready when I needed one. Wifi seemed good, too!

The breakfast could use some variety (for example, my husband is allergic to strawberries and there was only strawberry yogurt every day), and the coffee maker broke one day but they fixed it by the next day. There is no shelf in the shower, so you have to put your soap/razor on the floor - but they said they were ordering them! Really all minor things.

The value is unbeatable. Everything looked like it was brand new and it was a perfect place to stop (twice!) to and from our road trip out east. The gym was also well equipped with lots of natural light. We left a few things in the room, and the staff were kind enough to keep it in their lost and found until our journey back. There were also a lot of breakfast options, and we got to enjoy a little pool time. We had a great stay!

There was some art in the bathrooms that didn't really mesh with the rest of the place, but that's a very superficial thing. It would be nice if the staff and housekeeping could communicate a bit better on any guests who were allowed a late check out - it was a little annoying to have to keep reminding people that they told us we could have a late check out (BUT we really appreciated their flexibility in allowing us to check out late).

Seemed fairly new, excellent shape for facilities, staff and especially the breakfast lady were exceptionally pleasant. Would stay here again anytime. Note the rooms have double pulled down blinds One is light filtering and one is light blocking, it's not evident right away cuz they're tucked up on the top of the window sill and one has a pull-down chain on the right then one has a pull-down chain on the left...

There was an opening under the door of an inch or two which let in noise from the hallway. I mentioned it on checkout and they said they've tried putting on door sweeps but they keep falling off. Obviously they need to get different ones that screw in :-)

Rooms were clean, lobby was tidy and staff was helpful.

Shower in hotels never seems to work well- the pull up to divert water to the shower head only sends about 50%, which leads to a crappy massage from the deluxe showerhead. This isn't a big deal, yet living with joint disease I'd hoped for a better shower. I also was discouraged that this is one of the few LaQuinta hotels that does NOT allow dogs. We wound up on our return trip staying at a Hampton Inn that allowed dogs, but was in a pretty poor part of town, as I was approached by someone who was obvioulsy an addict looking for $$, and I saw 2 men trying to break into an ATM about 30 yards away from the hotel. Next Trip we'll be staying elsewhere....
