staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean, located right in the heart of downtown with lots of things to do within walking distance

only downside was there were only 2 working elevators and they only fit about 6 people at a time so it made waiting on an elevator very frustrating

The breakfast could be better. I can't have cow's milk, and there were no alternatives.

The common area was small.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. They seemed to like working there. The room was quiet, comfortable, and well-lit. We slept well on the king bed--the mattress was just the right amount of firmness. I was happy we could control the room temperature. The heat and water pressure in the bathroom was excellent, and it was great to have a spacious area to lay out toiletries. We were in easy walking distance of museums, and several great restaurants.

The breakfast staff were wonderful, but the service was more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. The food was self-serve, and mass-produced, but that was fine for people who wanted to eat and get out. Generally, we went out for breakfast, because we were in walking distance of a number of fancier options.

From the moment I arrived, to my checkout, each staff member I spoke with / engaged with was very helpful, friendly and professional, ( Robin and Clarissa were lovely). The room I had was far better than I expected, really comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you for a great experience !!

Had to skip breakfast due to no available information about the food offered for those who have food allergies and need ingredients information…. I was told that information just wasn’t available by the nighttime front desk man.

The staff were extremely polite, professional, accommodating, and genuinely cared about our experience! The breakfast was fantastic, the attendant, Ismeta, greeted and helped everybody that came into that area! Truly unlike every other breakfast at every other hotel! The people at the desk were amazing, especially Claudia’s Morris, the AGM! Her people skills and business know-how are top-notch! The men working the valet parking were friendly and efficient! The location was close, within walking distance to everything!!

The staff were the highlight of the stay. The receptionists and breakfast servers were warm and friendly. For the price, the convenience and location were reasonable. Everything was kept clean and tidy. I've booked this hotel through Amtrak and through its own site, and both ways of booking were pretty easy.

The elevators occasionally sent me to the wrong floor or simply stopped on various floors without opening the doors. They were not roomy either. The 1-bedroom rooms were a bit small for a couple, but we only stayed for a few days.

The room where we stayed at was very quiet super spacious and luminous. The breakfast area was very comfortable, food was very good too and Ismeta the lady in charge is a star. Always eager to help, prepare waffles bring anything to the table. She’s an asset!!!!

The carpet and curtains a little tacky. The tap or faucet in the bathroom was not properly designed and water was constantly leaking on the “counter” if I may.

1. The hotel location - 5 mins walk from ATC Blue Line(to/fromORD) Monroe station, in heart of downtown 2. Breakfast - serving good hot/cold real food by warm friendly staffs making me feeling so welcome 3. Room - size is adequate and room is clean, well-maintained condition considering the age of this building over 100 years

The ground entrance is narrow and unattended - the lobby is on 4th floor (marked as “L” level) so you need to move above first to check in - which is understandable as another part of this building is used by CIBC Theater
