Murphys Suites

I asked that we have a ground floor room which Murphys Suites accommodated. I was traveling with an elderly person.The room was large. Two couples or a family would not be uncomfortable. If there was a down side there needed another support railing in the bath/shower.The kitchenette would make a longer stay easy. I walked easily into Murphys in the evening. The room was light and bright with good curtains for black out. There was a exercise bike, a sauna (not needed in the summer 8-)) and small pool. Some beautiful taxidermy in the lobby. Breakfast was a package breakfast burrito and or house made miniature donuts.

The staff was so nice and friendly. They had soft serve, coffee and cappuccinos for guests, and delivered fresh donuts and orange juice to our door in the morning. The hot tub was nice after a long day. The suites are quite roomy --- one room that had our beds and a desk, and the other room that had a sofa and desk, with the bathroom and long sink area in between. Both rooms had tvs and plenty of room for storage. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy.

Breakfast was really not worth it, supermarket microwave packaged breakfast. I don't like hotels that use COVID as an excuse for not providing maid service. I feel they could have been more transparent about the breakfast and the lack of service in their listing online. I probably would not have stayed there if the breakfast had been represented accurately and the lack of service.

We loved how super quiet the rooms were, I often have trouble sleeping in hotels because they're noisy, but our room was SO quiet, I fell right to sleep. The location was fantastic since we were doing a wedding tasting at nearby Ironstone Winery. We loved the free and ample parking. The staff was so friendly; we felt very welcome. We liked the coffee in our room. The beds were very comfortable. We liked your Inn so much that we cancelled our reservation for the wedding in September at Murphy's Historic Hotel and booked with you again!

I have to admit we weren't crazy about the breakfast and didn't end up eating it, even though we appreciated it being offered. We will decline the offer for breakfast in September. Same with the soft serve ice cream. It was very icy, but, again, we appreciated the offer.

Donuts & OJ were good. “Room service” for included breakfast was nice. Most of the staff were ebullient and gregarious in a good way. Hot tub, and Sauna were great.

Most of the electrical outlets didn’t have any power to charge devices (USB adapters). Sports equipment in exercise room weren’t functional or up to date. Room was mostly used for storage, making it odd to use. Pool was too cold - though I understand heating it is expensive, and evidently it doesn’t get much use. A net to filter out the bugs from the pool & hot tub would have been appreciated.

At Lobby check-in - Free cap/coffee/espresso machine & soft served ice cream behind counter. Option of picking up breakfast (fresh made donut or frozen breakfast burrito; no fruits/yogurt) at front or delivered w/in a timeframe. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Separated bedroom from main space for designated areas always a plus. Sink is next to fridge/microwave area (not always the case).

Deco appears from a different time period but ultimately worth a stay if you’re in the area. It’s not a big city so it’s nothing bad. Fitness room had 2 equipment but can’t imagine anyone would use it for a vacation stay when you can walk/hike outdoors.

Loved it! The people working there were so pleasant and efficient. Enjoyed the little extra services like coffee and ice cream and how fun that was. The hotel was comfortable and quiet and spacious. The location was perfect. A short walk to downtown Murphys so we didnt have to keep hopping in the car.

The soft serve ice cream and cappuccino bar was a great bonus. The staff was very friendly and seemed to be enjoying working there.

The beds were not very comfortable at all. That was our only setback. The decor was a little dated but the room had everything we needed so we barely noticed.

The location was perfect. It was close to historic Murphys and Ironstone Amphitheatre. We had a suite, which was great since we had three adults an two kids.

I felt sorry for the front office clerk. He was by himself checking in a line of guests. But, he remained friendly and helpful the entire time

Stayed there with my wife and daughter on July 23 in a Queen Suite. Size of room was good. Location was great next to minimart and walkable to 'downtown' Murphys.

Thoughts for improvement: Mattresses were FIRM. Bigger tv should have been in the lounge area of the room and not the bedroom. 'free' breakfast in the morning was nice touch but burritos were not very good. Need a night light in the bathroom.
