- In a great location, close to Blenheim Palace and situated in the lovely town of Woodstock which has some lovely independent shops and pubs. - The room we stayed in was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable to stay in. It was a short walk up some stairs to get to with our luggage and the property generally was well-decorated, featuring some interesting wallpaper designs! - The breakfast included was delicious, we had the full English and it was spot on for both of us. - Good price and in the general ballpark of what other hotels/pub stays located in the same area cost to stay at.

- Despite the room overall being decorated well, it was a little shabby in some areas (blinds need attention and velvet armchair was stained). - In the week, most of the pubs in the area close at around 10pm.

This pub in Woodstock is a short walk from Blenheim Palace. Woodstock is a delightful village and this character pub serves great food and cosy accommodation. Our room was a great size for 2 people. The bed was comfortable. The room was warm and quiet. The shower was easy to use and provided a constant pressure and temperature. Everything worked and the room was clean and well maintained. The included breakfast was great. We would stay at The Kings Arms again.

Nothing to dislike. Parking is on street and there are restrictions but we had no problems finding a space metres from the pub.

Great location, popular pub. Manager Richard a lovely host very friendly and helpful. Some of the very young staff a little unsure on things ie parking etc on my initial questions and Richard intervened and smoothed the process and explained. Room a little noisy as on the main road but didn't bother us. Breakfast a great choice and a lovely separate breakfast room with a great choice and well presented with friendly and attentive staff. 5 minute walk to Blenheim Palace which is great and a lovely little town to wander around with plenty of places to eat and drink.

Couldn't get window to stay open and a warm night so the fan was useful.

great position after a day visiting Blenheim Palace it was nice to go the kings arms to have a meal and relax.

our room was very nice but the bathroom had a steep step to get into it and was very small. Thought the staff at breakfast were quite laid back. we didn’t get offered additional coffee with our breakfast and when I got up to replenish our cups from the coffee pot I heard one of the staff saying “oh look we have a new Waitress” which I thought was a bit sarcastic. Also when we left to check out there was no one on reception but we could see the manager? talking to someone in the bar he didn’t come over just waved and we left our room key on the desk and left. I think as he knew we were there and checking out he could have come over and at least asked if we enjoyed our stay and said goodbye.

The King's Arms offered an ideal and inspiring venue for a weekend in Woodstock. An amazing price deal for an extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated and well-equipped room matched by a very warm welcome from the staff. Both lunch and breakfast were delicious.

We were disappointed that an evening meal was unavailable but understood that the staff deserved a rest in the first week of January. In fact, nowhere in Woodstock was offering dinner on a Saturday night after 9pm. It was not possible to talk by telephone directly to the venue which was connected into a Fullers Brewery answering service that was always 'experiencing a higher volume of calls than normal'.

check-in, the pub was cosy and the whole feel of the place was welcoming. It was also very well situated close to Blenheim Palace which was around the corner or you could enter via the pedestrian gate at the end of the road. The breakfast was very comprehensive also.

The room we had (George I think) was on the main road and the main road outside seemed to be rather busy. it was hot but we couldn't open the windows (nicely double-glazed and having an extra window for sound proofing) so we had to resort to the fan which was provided so at least the owners had made some efforts.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The King's Arms during a business trip, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, the level of hospitality provided by the staff was truly remarkable. The manager, in particular, stood out with their exceptional courtesy and attentiveness. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home. The location of The King's Arms was nothing short of breathtaking. Nestled in a picturesque setting, it exuded charm and tranquility. The beautiful surroundings added to the overall ambiance, making it a truly delightful place to unwind after a long day of work. What impressed me the most was the impeccable design style that adorned the entire property. Every detail seemed to have been carefully considered, resulting in a captivating blend of elegance and modern design. The tastefully decorated rooms reflected this attention to detail, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I was truly impressed with The King's Arms and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay. Whether for business or leisure, the courteous staff, combined with the stunning design and inviting ambiance, make it a top choice. I look forward to returning in the future.

excellent breakfast with good coffee and good choice of homemade hot and cold dishes prepared and served very well . Lovely very stylish beautiful decor .and wonderfully clean Nice touches - Roberts radio and nespresso machines in all rooms. Lovely white fluffy towels and nice bath products Staff were very friendly and helpful

when we arrived we were given a very small cosy room which had a 4' ( 140 cm ) bed. This was not explained by booking.com and was not the fault of the hotel. They upgraded us for one night to the suite which was superb. Very spacious with a big king size bed. Unfortunately it was fully booked the following night so we had to move back to the really tiny room with tiny bed. We slept like kings the first night but hardly at all the second night. The manager was very apologetic and explained that it wasnt them who do the bed catagories. Booking should explain better. Its worth paying a little more to get the bigger bed size

The reception at the hotel was warm and efficient. The owner was friendly. The decor of the hotel and rooms were tasteful and interesting. You can see the owner puts in a lot of effort to make it special for guests. The amenities of the rooms are great with coffee machine and kettle with a selection of good teas and coffee. They even include chocolates which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was excellent with great choices and the quality of the food and drink were high. An excellent hotel if you want to explore Blenheim and surrounding. I would definitely come back

3 night stay (fri, sat, sun) end of March Hotel Lovely room with good choice of tea coffee in the rooms , toiletries included. Iron, hairdryer. Clean and well designed rooms. Excellent breakfast, great choice big 👏 to the chef. Good quality food produce and excellent choice of cooked breakfast. The bar has a good atmosphere on an evening. Staff welcoming, polite and accommodating. Location Few local pubs within walking distance serving food and drinks Blenheim palace 3mins away Diddly Squat 20 mins away Bicester village 20mins away Oxford, use pear tree park and ride , easy to find and costs £5 for 2 adults to park for 16hours includes bus to and from central Oxford . Parking The reviews about parking almost put me off booking this hotel. Glad I ignored them. Parking not an issue at all if you have common sense . Outside the hotel, yes there is restrictions in place between 8am -6pm Mon -Sat. 1hr parking allowed ,car must be moved by 2 hours. Friday we arrived 4:15pm so parked on the street 100yards from hotel , now common sense , we left the car till 9:30am the next morning . Because this is within the restrictions. Saturday we used union street parking literally 2-3 mins from the hotel not far at all , plenty of spaces and free. Sunday parked same place as Friday , no restrictions in place. Would definitely return to this hotel.
