Pub is a little off the beaten track a few miles from Chipping Norton. We stayed in the studio which was annexed to the pub with a separate entrance. Great facilities although slightly musty smell on arrival. Lovely roll-top bath to relax in and separate shower. Staff were exceptionally friendly - nothing too much trouble! Food in the restaurant was great and very different from standard pub fare - excellent, especially calamari and the beetroot, pork belly main. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Even the tea bags in the room were good quality! Lovely to see young people running the Inn.

The Crown, Church Enstone, is probably one of the nicest places I've stayed at for a long time. The location was perfect and made it easy to reach the various towns and villages in the surrounding area. The Inn was nice and tucked away too, which made the dining, drinking and living experience really enjoyable. The food was amazing, the chef clearly likes to experiment with different flavours and make some unique dishes. Breakfast was tasty and well presented, and the dining experience was very relaxing. The room was so nice too, the bed was unbelievably comfy and the bathroom looked amazing. We cannot fault the place one bit, and we'd go back again in a heartbeat.

The one negative was probably that it was a bit expensive for one night. However, everywhere seems expensive at the moment and July is peak season.

The property is absolutely delightful! It is an old pub converted into rooms upstairs. It has lots of original features such as low beams. Both myself and my partner are tall so we did have to duck down quite a lot and it is a little uneven in places but it adds to the charm. When we arrived the pub was busy and I was a little worried it would be a bit roudy but it was so quiet. we could hear the birds outside the window. The food is delicious but it’s a shame they don’t serve food later than 3pm on a Sunday. We stayed in the top room so as you can imagine it was a little toasty in there but we had a fan in the room. The bed was very comfy and we had everything we needed. There isn’t a lot close by so you need a car, but we were quite happy about this. The staff were friendly and even let us have a peak at some other rooms once other guests had checked out. The garden is lovely and we ate out here on our first evening. We also liked the small touches like cookies in the room and a little fridge with milk and water for us. All in all a beautiful place to visit and we hope to return!

We struggled with the heat in our bathroom. As we were on the top floor our room was very warm and the bathroom was uncomfortably hot. We asked if there was underground heating but were told there wasn’t any. The shower pressure wasn’t great either.

Our room was beautifully decorated and we appreciated the additional touches such as a good tea/coffee selection, fresh milk and salted chocolate cookies. The bathroom was great and I enjoyed two baths in a long bath which was very comfortable. The general bar and restaurant area were lovely, with a pleasant garden where we enjoyed drinks in the sunshine! It was situated in a good area, with easy access to Bleinham Palace and larger towns and villages.

There wasn’t much we could fault on our stay, it just took getting used to some of the food and drink prices but this was consistent with other pubs in the local area that we visited during our stay.

Waiting staff were outstanding - particularly the lady working at breakfast. Couldnt have been more helpful or lovely even though she was obviously having to do everything from taking/delivering orders to checking guests in and out (some of which had no manners and couldnt possibly wait). Our daughter and family joined us for dinner and subsequently breakfast too as they were so impressed. Great food. Fab ambience. Would stay again without question.

Wi-fi wasnt working in our room but that was a small issue. No drama really.

Lovely restaurant and garden area, food very nice, and staff very welcoming. Room very tastefully decorated in keeping with style of building.

Room was incredibly hot being at the top of a very old building, but a small fan was provided. Could have done with bathroom skylight being accessible/opened too particularly as the weather was amazingly warm for a nice change. Fridges in rooms would have been a better idea, as someone took my cake from the shared fridge on the landing! Not the pubs fault - I was too trusting!

This is a really good inn with well appointed rooms and good food. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful and the food, both in the evening and at breakfast is fresh and tasty.

Firstly, the stairs to our room were twisty with low head room and had we fully realised we would have asked staff to help us with our luggage. Secondly, the guests in the room below us got locked out and threw stones at our window to get in. That wasn’t a problem but there is a phone number staff ask you to photograph to get night staff to let you in. It’s worth taking that image. Overall it’s a lovely hotel and we would definitely go back.

Breakfast was amazing, bedroom was really nice with fabulous comfy bed, a really nicely detailed bathroom and great views of the area. A lovely bar, great pint of Cotswold pale, and a fab meal. Loved the bear garden with cover from the rain. Lastly morning and evening bar staff were faultless.

My only tiny issue would be the 8 am breakfast, as I was staying away for work, this was slightly late for me, and as chef doesn’t arrive until 8 am, it was even later. Although as I already added, breakfast was perfect

Staff were super-friendly and very helpful. The food in the pub looked amazing but unfortunately we didn't have time to try it this time. We got a very quirky room on the top floor with a lot of exposed beams (tall people needed to be careful or they'll hit their heads on the beams). Lovely old and characterful building in a pretty village.

I forgot to check the times for breakfast so didn't have time to enjoy it on the premises. On the upside I was provided with a tasty egg and bacon roll to take away with me instead.

The room was spotless and the option to use a robe was a great bonus. Bed comfy and bathroom had a good selection of fluffy towels. Tea and coffee facilities included a welcome home made cookie which was delicious.

We had a lovely meal in the restaurant but there was only one veggie option compared to four or five meat/fish options. It was a shame as the chef is clearly very talented and we would have eaten in the restaurant twice instead of once but I didn’t want the same thing two nights running.
