Very convenient for the West Highland Way. Clean and comfortable.

Rather narrow double bed. Limited dinner menu, with choice of 2 or 3 courses. Staff friendly, but appeared to be inexperienced and poorly trained. We ordered 1 starter, 2 mains & 1 dessert, and expected to be charged for 2 x 2 courses, but were charged for 2 courses & 3 courses. Rather than contest the bill, we decided not to leave a tip. The food was good.

Food was excellent. Staff were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for them . My Mother is wheelchair bound and had trouble getting onto the bed. We spoke to reception and they had a box/Step made just for her.

Only issue were around accessibility - They provided a ramp for stairs for wheelchair bound guests but my mother didn't like using it. There is an alternative way to get around this but it involves going around the outside of the building which isn't the best when the weather isn't too good. They also need a seat (with wheels) for the wet room for non walking guests. However, we all agreed that the hotel treated our wheelchair bound mother excellently as they couldn't do enough for her.

The Winnock is the oldest Hotel in the UK. It was full of character and charm. The location was perfect for exploring the Trossachs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were very clean, with new mattress envelopes on each bed. The Hotel bar had a great dinner and friendly service. The entertainment was really very good, a great way to spend a Friday night in the Scottish countryside! The roaring fireplace was perfect to warm up after a long hike .

The breakfast was a little basic, although the service was great. The WiFi in the rooms was hopeless - but 4G was available.

Nice old building which looks like it has some stories to tell. Staff was generally helpful & friendly despite obvious manpower shortage. We were able to check in about one hour early after a short wait.

Shower was a bit troublesome, with temperature quickly changing to boiling hot when increasing strength. Due do staff shortage our room wasn't serviced, which we wouldn't care about - if toilet paper and shower gel hadn't been depleted already at check-in. In the end, I had to go to the reception, got the TP, was promised somebody would be sent for the shower gel - but nobody came.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Floors in corridors were very noisy especially early in the morning when people were going in and out. Ideal for one night or short break stays

Noisy, creaky floors and outdated decor.

In the centre of Drymen and plenty of parking available. Lovely, cosy atmosphere in the reception area and the staff were friendly and gave us all the info we needed re. meals etc. The receptionist (sorry, didn't catch her name) was great, showing us the easiest way to get to our room and telling us how to reach reception if we needed anything. Nothing was a bother to her. The room was so lovely and comfy, very clean and had everything we needed. Most importantly for us, the windows opened! We really enjoyed our stay here and wished we'd booked an extra night.

The hotel was spot on, no complaints. There were some very noisy guests going to their rooms late in the evening, slamming doors, shouting etc. Not the hotel's fault and nothing they could do about it, but we'll be taking ear plugs with us next time 😊

Hotel was great very friendly staff. Room was a great size and the service was excellent. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely be back again.

Nothing not to like. I had an excellent stay and will be back again. One thing we were told we could access the spa facilities at the sister Hotel the Buchanan but luckily we went to look and the swimming pool and facilities are currently under renovation so would not have been worth it, we weren't told this by the staff. Other than that I cant fault the hotel at all. Lovely friendly staff.

Lovely hotel, pleasant staff. Beautiful surroundings. Would stay again. Obviously a very busy hotel and I can see why it was a surprise at how nice we found it! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and already have.

Room could've been cleaner and carpet not very clean. There was a biscuit on the floor obviously from previous guest. Had issues with another guest trying to get in our room scaring our 4 year old. Eventually got offered to move room but was too late for a scared sleepy 4 year old to move. The food was quite pricey but nice.

A warm welcome place was clean and had a good selection of areas to sit from the bar and restaurant. Food was good fish and chips or steak and ale pie yummy. Rooms and bed comfy and large nice building with the old coachouse but modern aswell inside. The staff were very helpful and polite specifically reception staff Angela and Megan. Stayed here before and will stay again. Highly recommended close to west highland way loch Lomond and not far from Glasgow.

A comfortable stay with a friendly and welcoming staff. The food in the restaurant and the breakfast were both good. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable and peaceful. Abundant hot water.

This is a family run hotel and they are welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Perhaps some of the waiting staff in the restaurant don't have quite the polish and sophistication that might be expected, but a little patience on the part of the guests goes a long way.
