the location was perfect for access into Liverpool and surrounding area: beaches, safari parks, museums, etc. the staff were incredibly welcoming, nothing was too much bother. the room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated - no expense spared and the bathroom was my particular favourite. being in a very friendly, lively pub was also a bonus, and surprisingly there was no noise - probably because the building was so substantial.

the cost was higher than we would have liked to pay but we were there during Eurovision weekend, so of course there was a premium.

The location was excellent. It is 6 minutes walk away from the Shakespeare North theatre and high street. Our room had high ceilings and large windows and was bright and well decorated. We found the room comfortable and clean with a spacious bathroom. The staff were helpful. Breakfast is not included, but the price was very reasonable and there were gluten free options. Onsite parking. We enjoyed everything about our visit.

Nothing. Not a problem for us, but may not suit early sleepers as there was live music on Friday and Saturday evenings ending around 10.30.

The breakfast was very nice, although a wider choice of cereals would have been appreciated - they only had granola. Also, they only served breakfast at the weekend and so as I was there until Monday morning I could not have breakfast before I checked out. But it is a pub with rooms, not a hotel. The room was lovely, very clean and the super king size bed was very comfortable, I slept really well. I loved the bathrobe and slippers!

A shelf in the shower on which to put my shower gel etc would have been good. There was very little hanging space - I expected a cupboard but there were only a few pegs on the wall and I had to use the hangers from the 2 bathrobes. Also there were only 2 small bedside drawers and one of those contained the hairdryer. I was by myself but if there had been 2 of us we would have struggled for space.

The location was perfect for us. As we no longer live in the UK, I always try and book somewhere with a good British menu (miss my real fish and chips). We also look for comfort and value for money. This hotel had it all. I mentioned to one of the staff on duty that we were expecting our autistic grandson for dinner, and although they left early, the time they spent with us over dinner was great. No raised eyebrows, the staff employed real patience. I can't thank you enough.

No wardrobe in room. To be honest this is nit picking, but it was a bit of a strange sight, unless I just didn't see it?

On our arrival, at 2.30. We was greeted by a friendly manager (forgot her name.) Although we didn't eat there,(family bbq) the food that came out, looked amazing and good value for money. The room (John) was decorated to a high standard and clean. Extra, small touches - slippers, house coats, shampoo, (the shower was fab) conditioner, even ear plugs! We didn't need them as we couldn't hear noise. Would I stay here again? Most definitely!

Everything was fine, just a little stuffy, but the weather was very warm. There was a fan in the room though.

We stayed here for 1 night prior to going to Knowsley Safari Park, which is literally a 3 minute drive. Our room was great. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nicely decorated and had very hot water in the shower. The Clock Face is located on a main road with parking available. We couldn`t hear the noise from the main road fro our room.

You need to ask about breakfast times. If you need to leave early in the morning breakfast, will not be available. We wanted breakfast at 7.30am but were told it couldn`t be done, and that 8.00 am was the earliest it could be made depending on who was working that day, which we accepted as we had already paid for breakfast with our Booking.com reservation. Not too much of a problem but this should be made clear on the Booking.com website.

Staff were great, special mention to Katy. Rooms and beds were comfortable; great to have water and fan provided, as well as tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was good. Rooms nicely separate from pub. Location, near Shakeseare North, was excellent. Good parking. Would definitely stay again if in Prescot.

Rooms were small, and the smallest room had only one hook (and no drawers) for clothes. Would have been nice to have breakfast included for the price.

The room was great, recently refurbished and in great condition. Nice and clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower very good. The staff here are lovely and always friendly and chatty. Food was very nice and the pub has a great atmosphere. Parking on site was easy and safe. Overall its hard to say anything but positive things! Wish I had found this place before. I come to the area regularly so will definitely use again. At over £100 per night its a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Everything was great. I was staying longer so the only thing I would say is maybe a wardrobe of some sort would be good but that would only be nit picking. For business people like myself being able to have breakfast before 8 would be good but appreciate the logistics with this. There is a McDonalds nearby so its really no big deal.

close to Whiston Hospital where I had to work. We’ll-renovated rooms. Good sound insulation from the pub. Pub food above average, and a very community orientated pub with activities and events.

Only issue was that central heating hadn’t come on yet when I had to leave at 0700. Up at 0530 and room chilly with all radiator valves opened to 5. Not a deal breaker for me - managed well enough with nice robes and warm shower. Also, consider some type of shelf for the shower.

We were visiting family which live over the road. It was a perfect location for that & also close to the town for bars/shops train station etc! We always eat at the Clockface when we visit prescot/family. We were greeted by the lovely Lou & staff. So so attentive and couldn’t have helped anymore. So friendly & pleasant, nothing was a problem. The rooms are gorgeous, shower was amazing. We will definitely be back - soon ✨🤍
