comfortable room, well presented, tea coffee facilities. Close to shops and amenities and A1

Towels were very old and frayed. No meals served on a Sunday evening, so when I arrived there was nothing to eat. Breakfast was only continental, not a great deal of choice. 1st morning no hot water to make porridge pots up, bread was in plastic Tesco bags and mouldy. Drinking glass had lipstick on. Not a great first impression. The next two mornings were better. Fruit would be better cut up into a fruit salad with a selection of fresh pastries and meats and cheeses. wifi cuts out all the time, so I couldn’t use my laptop for work purposes.

Great location, loved the decor which was a good modern choice/match for the Georgian building, so it has not lost its charm. Room warm and inviting. Enjoyed the evening meals. Excellent Tring Brewery Side Pocket Real Ale. Staff very efficient, attentive and friendly.

Breaskfast was a bit sparse, however what was available was nice. There was a fan somewhere in the building which cycled on and off all night long that could be heard in our room which was rather irritating. Insufficient hot water to have a bath. School bus in the mornings stopped on the square, right outside the hotel with its noisy smelly engine running for at least 15 minutes [not the hotel's fault, perhaps a chat with the bus company about pollution - both noise and fumes - is required].

It was great that we could check in a bit earlier as we would have been quite late back from a wedding. We had a bit of brunch before we checked in, the coffee was really good. Location was great, we didn't see much in the town but there seemed to be a few lovely shops. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great, the room was small but perfectly sized for our stay and also reflected in the price. Good options for breakfast, the option to pay extra for cooked breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

There was nothing really that stood out that I didn't like. There was a a bit of water damage in the bathroom above the sink and a bit of water damage above the kettle in the room, these things didn't take away from our stay, just small maintenance issues.

The location and how easy it was to get to it from Sandy. I was visiting relatives in Sandy. The shower was great as well as the lovely toiletries in the room.

Poor choice of continemtal breakfast. It would have been nice to have had a fresh fruit salad and some fat free natural greek yoghurt. I think the bread may have been sourdough bread. I would have liked some fresh bread rolls or normal bread for my toast. Also some non-dairy alternatives to gresh milk, e.g. soya milk drink or oat milk drink for the cereal and coffee

I stay here regularly for work and it's great - the dinner menu is really nice, the rooms are comfortable and quiet and it's close to my office. It feels like a home from home.

My only little niggle is that I think the breakfast could be improved a little bit - it's very basic and the pastries that are provided are not freshly cooked. This doesn't stop me loving staying here as it's great value for money and a lovely overnight stay but one area for improvement as the food in the evenings is so good.

Decor in the rooms and public areas is lovely. Staff were really friendly. Perfect location for visiting family. Evening menu has a good selection and very tasty.

Booking.com states breakfast included but this us only the continental breakfast. Cooked breakfast at weekends not included. This was not explained during check in and staff dont tell you this til after you've eaten. Our shower door was jammed on our last day so we couldn't have a shower leaving however they gave us free breakfast as compensation.

breakfast was very good in nice dining area, room was clean and nicely presented, staff were very helpful and friendly, plenty of parking at the venue. pretty little place and generally quiet although the pub is busy in the evening

would have liked to eat in the pub in the evening but the pub is clearly very popular and extremely busy, probably not the best environment for dining, however that is not a criticism as a lot of people like the buzzy vibe but we were looking for somewhere a little more quiet to eat so popped to the Indian across the road

My room was incredibly clean and well decorated. Beautiful bathroom with rain shower. Extras including biscuits, sparkling water and nice scented body lotion. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was quiet despite being in a thriving and lively venue. Great food both in the evening meal I bought and the continental breakfast included in the price.

The single bed was quite narrow. It was very comfortable all the same!
