Hilton Nottingham Hotel

Fabulous staff, especially Dennis in Reception - professional, friendly and polite. Nice hotel located centrally....great for eateries, cinema and shops. Well equipped gym and swimming pool (lovely and warm!). Some works are being carried out to refurbish parts of the hotel, but that did not impinge on our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and had lots of choices. Comfy beds, blackout curtains and quiet room meant we slept well. Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries were a bonus. Good air conditioning throughout hotel, perfect in this hot weather!

ONE THING WE HAD A SLIGHT PROBLEM WITH, AND I WOULDN'T WANT THEM PERSECUTED FOR IT, WAS UNDERSTANDING THE HEAVY ACCENT OF A NUMBER OF STAFF ON RECEPTION. THIS WAS NOT BECAUSE WE COULDN'T HEAR THEM BUT THEIR ENUNCIATION WASN'T ALWAYS CLEAR. A BIGGER PROBLEM WAS THE SHORTAGE OF PARKING AND THE CONCERN WE HAD ABOUT BEING ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE OUR CAR INEXPENSIVELY AND SAFELY. WE ENDED UP LEAVING OUR CAR AT OUR DAUGHTER'S IN WEST BRIDGFORD AND TRAVELLING IN ON THE BUS.

Clean, spacious room with good facilities. Beds were comfy and if things got too noisy outside, we could close the windows and it would be well soundproofed. Bathroom was clean and furnished with hand wash, shower gels and conditioner, as well as shower caps. Staff were attentive and friendly - a real bonus! Breakfast had an excellent choice (Full, Continental, fresh fruit, etc) and the mushrooms were some of the best I've had at a hotel.

Tea and coffee was a bit bog standard for the price, and there were no biscuits or similar to go with the tea. Puffed up pillows meant that when you lay your head down, the pillow sort of surrounded your head as you sank into it. The view out of the window was of a big brutalist office block but that's not really changeable (the price is, though). At breakfast - the orange juice tasted watered down and the cloudy apple juice tasted like it had synthetic sweetener in it. Avoid. Value for money - quality of stay was similar to staying at a [insert famous British hotel chain that use Sir Lenny Henry in their ads], but with a 60%+ price hike. The only noticeable upscaling was quality of breakfast but it certainly doesn't justify these prices.

I decided to get a hotel when my favourite band played Rock City and wanted one near the middle of the city. The Hilton actually came up as cheaper than the Premier Inn. So it was a no brainer really. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfy. I'll be honest, I didn't spend that much time in the room, but what I experienced was very nice.

Honestly, I didn't stay in the actual hotel long enough to get any negative impressions about it. Ummm, the view wasn't great, but I've come to accept that I'll never get a good view from a hotel window. Only 2 bottles of water, Hilton?

Room was amazing, really big and spacious with a brilliant bed (it was huge) and great facilities. Spa was really nice too with easy access to everything and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was great, lots to choose and kept warm.

The floorboard in my room were super squeaky, not really a big issue but it was a talking point on the trip. Again, not a major issue, but we ordered 2 small bottles of water to the room and it came to nearly £10 because of the water costs and the room service charge - I felt this was a bit on the expensive side for water. Again, not a deal breaker but just something to mention.

Lovely spacious family room, easy check in & out, good central location. Excellent breakfast choices although limited seating required us to share a table ( not a problem)

Not a hotel issue but slightly confusing to access main entrance,trying to read restricted access road signs on arrival, not knowing the area. Unfortunately parking was unavailable, which would have been a bonus, but alternative was, at least very close at hand. - not maybe handy enough for people with restricted walking. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but bar service was poor, being told, when I asked for missing drinks, that there were no glasses available!

Please help promote the spa services business as it is excellent and has been with you for 7 seven years BUT no promotion allowed around the hotel because its not upto hilton branding standard THIS was the reason I chose your hotel and upgraded to a double kings size room spending a lot kore than I could of So help small suporting business to the hilton group give them the correct signage promotation matterial in the lifts rooms and on your web site it willmmake the group stand out from other hotels and thefore increase room bookinhs natraly Thank you Rihanna +44 7476 440744 the best service and a credit to hilton reception for helping me too

The location was ideal, nice and close to shops and the city centre. Large multi story car park across the road which as a guest at The Hilton you get 20% discount by getting your car park ticket verified at reception. The room we eventually got was just the right size as we were in Nottingham for a family gathering. And having a Living Well gym and swimming pool on site was great.

The room we were first offered was really small no wardrobe, no bath and only really enough room for a double bed. We asked to change and were offered a much bigger room with a bath, wardrobe and much more room. We had a bath but the water was only warm and not as hot as we would have liked it. Food and drink is expensive but that is to be expected in a hotel. We really did enjoy our stay and there are lots of alternative places to eat nearby if you want to.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist, I think her name was lynia (probably wrong). we stayed on a Friday "fizz Friday," and you get complimentary procecco on arrival. The receptionist also offered us a free late checkout and was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We didn't use the leisure facilities but had a look and they seemed far better than the Mercure that's up the road in sherwood..

I didn't like the deal on the 241 on cocktails as you had to have 2 of the same cocktails. Thinks that's pretty pointless if sharing with a friend.. not everyone likes the same

I had stayed in the hotel for an event that I was attending. The area was perfect for being right in the city centre and having everything close by. When I was in my room, there was no noise /minimal from the outside. The room itself was standard size with a very comfy bed. A bonus was being able to control the air con/heating for the room. It also had an additional lock for extra security. I only had breakfast here and everything was amazing! Not one fault.

My room was a bit far from the lift and was confusing knowing how to get to it.
