Amazing value for money and it has a swiming pool! I was looking for a room for the night in Norfolk in the middle of the school holidays so you'd expect everthing to be really expensive and I came across this place. The bar was great with a large outdoor area with plenty of seats.

Having read the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. Yes the room was a bit tired, the carpet was a bit stained where the kettle was and the toilet seat didn't match the bathroom but it's a small price to pay. The rest of the hotel was lovely, this place was the cheapest room in Norfolk with ensuite bathroom. Seriously people will complain about anything. The only thing I would say is the breakfast was a bit small for the price, would it hurt to add a second saussage and some seasoning to the scambled eggs?

As always Wensum Valley met all our expectations. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The hotel and its surroundings are excellent.

Since their recent menu change there are no "light bites" available after 6.00. We would reasonably expect that hotel of this size would have the full range of eating options available until at least 10.00pm. The kitchen is obviously staffed all evening as meals are available so why not revert to the "brasserie" style menu that we used to enjoy and which gives the flexibility that was a major factor in choosing Wensum Valley again - YES we've stayed there before.

Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff, huge room, mahoosive car park, plenty of facilities on site (which I didn't get time to try). Cracking breakfasts.

The only thing I could fault seems to be an affliction many hotels suffer from. What is it with the bathroom toilet roll holder installation industry that they seem to think directly behind the loo seat is acceptable? I realise that the stretching contortions required to turn round and get some paper may help golfers warm up for their backswing, but for the rest of us it would be nice to be able to reach it without all that...

Very well-kept property, large car park and efficient reception. Beautiful grounds leading onto two full-size golf courses and practice facilities. Terrace overlooking the course - perfect for sitting and having tea if the weather is good. Got served quickly when eating in the restaurant, food was amazing and well priced. Spa was lovely and clean, and jacuzzi is only limited to children if they're under 8 (which was a pleasant surprise). Family room was really big - very clean and fitted with a brand new carpet, and new shower room with an amazing rainforest-style power shower. Hotel is located down a fairly winding country road but it's fine if you take it cautiously and it's only a short distance to the city centre and UEA. Family very happy :) Would definitely book again - no question about it.

We thought the spa could have stayed open for longer. Once you've had dinner in the evening, it's a rush to fit in a swim before the spa closed at 8.30pm (on a Saturday evening). It wasn't clear there were any dairy-free options at breakfast time the next morning (soya milk, vegan margarine, etc.) - I didn't see anything set out or any signs about the options but, when I enquired later, I was told I should have asked at the time because options were actually available. The other guests who attend seemed to be mostly men out without their wives - so lots of drinking and shouting going on until late into the evening, but not excessively.

The hotel's location was great and perfect for our needs, really easy to find. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. The selection was fantastic, and everything was cooked to perfection. The hotel's facilities were also exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the amenities, which included a top-notch golf course, fitness center, and indoor swimming pool. Everything was well-maintained and easily accessible. Overall, our experience at the Wensum Valley Hotel Golf and Country Club was truly exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The combination of great location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and fantastic facilities make it a top-notch choice.

not the property but the breakfast could be better, time should be at till 10. I think a self service option would be best, I order a English breakfast with no changes and eggs cooked as required (poached) I got beans, mushrooms and bacon and a fried egg as it was close to 9.30 I just accepted what it was, my son asked for bacon sandwich on white bread and got a slice of toast with bacon on top

The staff were fantastic, from the reception, porters , cleaners, Bat and restaurant. Specially Hannah and Helen at the desk whom helped accommodate our requirements and extensions at short notice during a busy period.

Unfortunately the gym was let down due to the air conditioning being disabled during the colder season. The room was uncomfortably hot (even with the windows open) specially for people that like to train harder or do more intense training. This could be a H&S hazard if not monitored properly.

although the room was quite small, the bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and spa, which was clean and well managed. We had a very nice cooked breakfast with a nice view over the golf course. The staff members we met were friendly and helpful.

The building itself is functional and the decor is very dated. Toiletries provided in the bathroom were sparse and rather cheap-looking. Sound proofing between rooms is not very good. These are ll quibbles though, and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely helpful staff. From before we arrived the staff we very helpful and friendly. Food and service at dinner was very good. The setting and views over the golf courses from the dining room and patio are beautiful.

The cooked at breakfast was less than we would have expected. My wife did not eat her unappealing scrambled eggs. My sausage and bacon were ordinary.

Easy access, close to our destination, cleanliness, comfort and general atmosphere was very good. Food very adequate and well prepared. Golf range was very good standard and a very reasonable price. Would use hotel and facilities again especially as there is limited accomodation for golfing parties across Norfolk.

Given the price it was very impressive so no real dislikes.
