Enjoyed a very comfortable stay here for a few days on a work related trip. The Ship is located directly overlooking the beach with great views, plenty of parking space and fairly easy beach access down a short set of steps. I had a pleasant room without a sea view but nevertheless spotless, comfortable and quiet - the en-suite was particularly spacious. The food was excellent with a choice of dining in the restaurant or, as I preferred, in the bar where there is also a good selection of real ales. The staff were reasonably friendly if a little functional at times. The only minor downside was that breakfast wasn't served until 9:00 which was too late for me - on the one occasion I was able to try it I thought it a bit overpriced at £12.50. Have sampled various establishments in the area but will probably opt to stay here again next time.

The ship Inn is situated right on the fantastic beach of Mundesley with fairly easy access down a steepish ramp right next to the pub. Car parking was easy with a large car park on site. The hotel itself is set out nicely with a bar where people can take their dogs, The restaurant area was also set out well and comfortable to be in. The food we had was really good along with a good variation of beers etc. The room we had was a free upgrade given by the hotel, it was large, well decorated and well equipped with a very comfortable bed and a really good shower. Even though it was a hotel situation the noise levels were really low and caused no problems.

The younger staff could have been a bit more forthcoming in that none seemed to go the extra mile. ie, Upon our arrival a young staff member said she would take us to our room but that stopped at the bottom of the stairs just saying its to the right. The same member of staff failed to act on a slightly unpleasant problem we had with the bathroom and a bedside lamp so we sorted ourselves. However I have to add that the managers and older staff were fine.

Cannot fault this place. Location next to the beach (100 yards) although fairly steep steps down but not many. Rooms are high quality, large and bathroom is excellent. The Pub has a chip shop bolt on which you can takeaway or order in the restaurant, high quality food. I took my dog and the Ship couldn't have been more accommodating. Theres a local corner shop and Chinese restaurant. Youre about 8-10 minutes drive from Overstrand and Cromer.

If i was to be fussy then the meal portion in the restaurant could have been bigger, although I do eat a lot.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable, even the chairs in the room were comfy. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely shower. The food was good and they even brought out a sausage for our dog at breakfast time. There was a lawn where we drank coffee after breakfast overlooking the beach and there was direct access to a lovely beach, one side blue flag and the other miles of dog friendly beach which was exactly what we wanted. It was a spur of the moment break and we couldn't have picked a better hotel.

Nothing!

Did not have breakfast, was an add on and at the price of the room thought it too much extra. Was visiting family so had breakfast with them. Bed was very comfortable. Room had everything we needed. Enjoyed our stay.

Thought at the price of the room a continental breakfast could have been provided. Other than that no complaints.

Fantastic hotel and location. Staff very friendly and attentive. Very clean, the room was amazing.

The lack of a checkin desk on arrival was a bit confusing, needing to walk into the bar and restaurant to find someone. Water pressure in the bath and shower reduced after only a few minutes and the waste masserator was a little noisy whenever anything went down the drain. Main course meal was average but starter, dessert and full English the next morning was delicious and plentiful. Only minor gripes, had a great time and would definitely go again.

we stayed for 2 nights in November. the hotel is stunning the decor is modern and original. we were lucky to get a free room upgrade thanks to Helen the deputy manager who was very friendly and welcoming. the food is delicious with a fish and chips next door which is owned by the hotel which is also lovely. the staff especially Sarah the bar maid were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. the hotel is very dog friendly and made lots of fuss over our little dog which she really appreciated.

water pressure was not 100%

Perfect location, the beach is a short walk from the Inn. Great beach which was fairly busy but plenty of space. The room was small but very pleasant. The food at the Inn was very good, the catch Fish and Chip shop is outstanding. All in all a lovely stay in a nice small seaside village.

No WIFI , when we queried this the staff member said there was an issue with WIFI in the whole village. Wasnt a major deal for us but could be for others. The water pressure wasnt great in the evenings meaning we had a couple of cold showers.

Great food, great beer, and an amazing location.

The Catch ... the chip shop next door has an extractor unit on the roof. This was aimed directly at our bathroom windows, so the bathroom, even with the windows closed, smelled like a chip shop, which was not ideal.
