The room was very clean and the location was beautiful, so picturesque with lots of wild horses and foals milling around but also close enough to the town that you could drive in quickly. The staff were absolutely lovely and the food was amazing!

I loved our stay but the room decor was a bit sad, I think just a couple of tweaks like updating the sofa and moving it so it faced the beautiful view and maybe having a built in wardrobe rather than an ikea one, the furnishings slightly cheapened the room whereas the building itself and the location felt so steeped in history.

Dog friendly. Superb room, large, clean and well appointed. Big TV. Attractive, friendly pub with a full menu. Busy in the evening. Lovely view out onto the green where the ponies were grazing. Fabulous breakfast that was almost too huge! Shower was lush but is above your head type which means you have to stand outside it while it gets hot. Wish we stayed longer and will definitely return.

Sofa in room was visibly sloping so I tried it and yep, you just slide off it! Pub eating: The pie was a real pie (with pastry) and an enormous plate compared to my partner's paella which was delicious but quite small, but my slice was very dry. Extra gravy provided with a smile though.

Great quiet rural location in New Forest...lovely village green with not only war memorial but ancient village stocks.. ..attractive and uniquely eccentric village church 100 yds up the hill....well worth visiting with grave of Arthur Conan Doyle in churchyard...lovely aroma of real wood fires in the bar downstairs...very cheerful and helpful staff. Excellent well presented meals both in the evening and for breakfast.

Room was well equipped U but a little small being well filled with a good size double bed. Remote control for TV was not functioning well...it needed new batteries perhaps..or else renewing.

Our reception was warm, friendly and welcoming in what is an old traditional, small sized village, pub. It's decor has been revitalised in traditional manner, with added trappings in keeping with its heritage. The bedroom was large and modernised to in-keeping fashion, and a quality finish to the shower room, much appreciated with it's tropical shower. Heating throughout the building added cosy comfort. Dinner was excellent with, as we noticed next morning, fresh produce delivered regularly. Again staff were very friendly and and breakfast was superb. Thanks Chef!

Nothing to fault, though maybe a little more furniture in our wonderfully large bedroom?

The booking process was unfortunately complicated by a late change in my circumstances, requiring some administrative booking changes. Accordingly, I was managed by Jack from the Trusty Servant and I cannot speak highly enough of his professionalism, quality of service and communications with myself. But for Jack I could well have gone elsewhere - he was brilliant. The evening meal was excellent as was the range of beers to ease things down. The locally sourced breakfast products were brilliant - home cooked proper breakfast - unbeatable. My bedroom was tastefully decorated and furnished providing me with a very comfy bed, good sized TV and good showering facilities. I would definitely come here again ............

A slight issue which I didn't raise with the staff as I was only staying one night, but throughout the night I was rather disturbed by an ad hoc pumping noise. Not sure where it was from - maybe the cellar? It didn't put me off and as I said I would stay here again anyway.....

The staff were very friendly, especially the young girls on both dinner and breakfast times. We loved the veggie breakfast the next morning. Room had lovely views to the back garden. It was quite basic, but had everything we needed for one night. Bathroom was tiny, but shower had good pressure. Bed was pretty comfy and overall had a good night's sleep. It was relatively quiet at night after pub closed at 11.

Overall, all good for the price.

The room was lovely and overlooked the village green. It was comfortable, and had a converted warehouse feel. Which is nice but not that cosy for a New Forest pub which is what we expected. We had the cooked breakfast which was fab - but we waited 35 minutes for the food, which was far too long. There wasn't a huge selection in terms of juice - the orange juice wasn't fresh, and it would have be nice to have some yoghurt and fresh fruit salad options, and maybe pancake options as well. But my little boy was offered hot chocolate which was fab as most places don't bother offering this. Parking was super easy and it was a lovely location. Lovely dinner menu with loads of choice and the food was great - but again took a very long time to come.

It didn't have a cosy feel to the room and the food took a long time to arrive both at dinner and breakfast. We also felt there could have been a bigger breakfast selection.

The food was delicious, amazed of the gluten free options provided! The staff was so friendly and warm. Always helpful and made us feel welcome. We went for my partner's birthday and the staff was very keen to organise something for him. They offered us a bottle of wine. The bar, restaurant and the room was extremely clean, neat and made us feel very comfortable and cozy. The surrounding is magestic, the Trusty Servant is located in the New forest creating a fairytale experience. Also, the garden is spacious and beautiful Our room was huge and recently renovated. It was fully equipped and furnished which gave us the idea of being in our own home.

The only thing we were concerned of was the view from the room. It was facing the main road (the only road in the area), and we had to close the curtains to have privacy. Moreover, we could hear the cars.

The inn is in the centre of a very picturesque village with ponies milling around outside. Both the evening meal & breakfast were lovely with an unusual choice on the menu if you didn't want the usual English breakfast.

It was a bit noisy as our room overlooked the garden & it was a lovely evening so groups were sitting outside late drinking but has to be expected when you stay in an Inn with a garden.

Staff gave a lovely welcome, showed us to our room. Which was comfortable spacious and had all we needed for our stop over. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening, food was lively, a little wait. But yes all good shower was also great and it was no trouble with staff having the dog with us. Would definitely stay again as we used this as a stop over enroute to the isle of wight. Thank you
