The room was superb, very large and facilities lovely. The only negative was the musty smell on the landing and in the room, which was easily rectified by opening the window. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast could have been better, basically i feel was down to chef capability, and attention to detail, for example food not very warm, the bacon, scambled eggs overcooked. The cold spread was limited, but good.

Easy to find accomodation, the room was clean and well presented, a good size free car park outside, nice quality tea and coffee in the room (although they only give you enough milk pods for a single drink each) We had a "budget" room this time over a premium one last time and although you can tell the difference I don't think it is worth the additional £50 a night for premium as these rooms are perfectly ok. Quite close to the main road but you can't hear any traffic noise in the rooms.

Having stayed here before in May we were looking forward to the breakfast but the menu has changed dramatically, whilst the food quality itself was ok, it was no where near as good as the breakfast we had in May. There was a much better choice to be had plus a lot of the breakfast items this time had an additional charge on them which when you have paid upfront for breakfast is just irritating. We went elsewhere to eat on the evening of our arrival as the menu posted outside was very uninspiring and expensive for what it was.

The room was a characterful room. We liked it very much. The bathroom was also a nice room. The Staff were lovely and breakfast was nice.

The pillows were not great. The TV was too far away. The main thing we didn't like was it could have been cleaner. I dropped my earring. When I was looking for it there was long black hairs and lots of dust all around the head board of the bed, dusty in the bathroom in places. We didn't check for it, just came across it. The main reason it didn't meet my expectations is the lack of cleanliness as in hairs and dust. This was disappointing because we really enjoyed our stay other than this.

When we got the correct food it was good. The room was excellent.

The staff got the food order wrong but it was quickly sorted out. The plate for one of the mains was so hot the food was still cooking on it. This was not great. We ordered the cheese and 2 glasses of Red wine to go with the cheese. The wine was delivered to the table. 5 Minutes later we were told there was no Cheese. We would have thought the staff might have removed one of the glasses of wine from the bill as we told them at the time of the order the wine was to go with the cheese. Additionally, we were told at the end they had removed the cheese from the bill. That was a little bizarre as I would not have expected to pay for it.

Room was huge, as was the bathroom with both claw foot bath and seperate shower, breakfast was excellent, I had the full English and all items were really good quality, coffee was also excellent. My wife had a selection from the full English menu and Tea and she was also very happy with the offering

I don;t like that I have to tell others how good this place is as next time I want to stay it will be fully booked, Pedro and his team are doing a fantastic job and we would not heitate to stay there again.

The hotel is a beautiful thatched property in a quiet and serene setting. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. What a bonus that my dog was allowed to stay. The pub is a mere few steps away with fantastic rustic vibes and beautiful home cooked food. The room was ample and offered more than anticipated. Breakfast was lovely with a nice selection of produce, all clearly homemade.

Not that it really mattered but the signal on the television was very intermittent. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Fantastic place. We booked a pre-cruise night there and paid to leave our car at an extremely reasonable £5 a day. Absolutely loved the room - spacious, quirky, quiet & comfortable. Gin for me & a beer for him while we got changed then off for a meal in the pub opposite. Quick taxi ride the next morning into So'ton and we were on our cruise. Would definitely stay here again - why pay the same price for a teeny tiny homogenous room in So'ton when you can stay in luxury in the middle of beautiful, quiet countryside? We'll be back for sure!!

Whilst the meal that evening was delicious, the service was a bit hit & miss. The staff were friendly enough, but we often had to wait some time for drinks to make their way from the bar to our table.

The choice of breakfast was excellent lots to choose from and the decaf coffee was the best I have tried. The choice of teabags and coffee in our room was very good as we usually take our own due to the lack of choice. This is the first time we have been to a Fullers hotel and will certainly go again and have told our friends what good value it is and how friendly the staff were especially the under manager who we have found in the past at most hotels seem to be aloof where the guests are concerned and definitely do not muck in when needed We intend to book up to the Fullers hotel in Tower Hill in London for our 60 years anniversary.

There wasn't anything we didn't like although it would have been good to have a selection of salad dishes especially during the summer months but generally we couldn't fault our stay and we will book another week next year.

Because we had to leave by 8am on or first morning of our stay, breakfast was not served early enough. On the second morning of our stay there was a power outage( no electricity supply to the hotel) so we could not have breakfast or even coffee. This was disappointing as we were looking forward to a full English which we had to seek and pay for elsewhere.

Its,a lovely pub/accommodation. The design of the buildings and accommodation is exceptional

Stayed in lovely thatched roof accommodation block adjacent to a Fullers pub, also thatched and old-world interior. Had quite reasonable food (quality and price) from a standard menu - all fine for an evening stop-over. Good quality beers as you'd expect from a Fullers pub-hotel. Staff service was excellent all round - everyone we met or spoke to were friendly and helpful.

Maybe a little pricey, but not excessively so. Grounds might do with a summer tidy-up in places but, again, nothing major.
