Ferraris Country House Hotel

A very nice hotel situated in a good setting with delightful gardens and sufficient grounds to walk the dogs in the early morning. Breakfast and the evening meals were good and dogs were allowed into the bar area where we ate our meals. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Our rooms were remarkably inexpensively priced as were the meals which we enjoyed. Parking was excellent being close to the hotel entrance. Highly recommended.

Our rooms and en-suites were quite small so would suggest booking larger rooms for those who appreciate spacious bedrooms and bathrooms.

We stayed in a deluxe room it was lovely., very spacious with a big bed and an amazing spa bath. The hotel was lovely and clean and the food was fantastic in portion sizes, price and quality.....best meal in a long time.

The restaurant lacks any atmosphere whatsoever, with the quality of food available omg this could be an absolute gold mine. My advice....get someone front of house to greet you, dressed in a smart uniform to seat you at a table that has a table cloth, flowers and a candle. Give your staff a dress code not sports leggings. Get an ambience in the room, lower the lighting and put some lovely soft back ground music on. So much potential with some minor changes.

We had our family wedding at Ferraris in November 2022. It was brilliant. One of the loveliest wedding receptions ever! It was a perfect location; so when my mum died, we decided that we would like Ferrari's to take care of the family again, at our family funeral wake. The food was outstanding. All the family felt at peace here. Brilliant location. Lovely family hotel. We have stayed here twice now and love the place. It is in a quiet, country location. The steak and ale pie was delicious. The best pie ever! The breakfast was delicious too. Couldn't fault anything. We will defintely return. Thank you!

This is a perfect place for staying, if you like a place with character. It is nice an quiet, the rooms are large and the facilities good. The staff definitely made it for me though because I had an issue with the radiator not turning off in my original room and the staff went out of their way to help me and was upgraded. Very good customer service.

I would have liked a better breakfast because they had no dairy free milk so wasn't able to have a bowl of cereal or tea. The WIFI was very bad and kept dropping out, but given the surroundings and the age of the property I will let that slide a bit.

It was a lovely large room, nicely furnished in period style which worked well. Unfortunately the bed was not very comfortable at all which was a shame as it rather spoilt our experience. The bathroom was only just adequate since the shower was only luke warm while the bath tap provided scolding water but no water from the cold tap at all. A little maintenance or rerevamp would make all the diference.

The breakfast was a little below par, the choice was rather limited by modern standards but this was probably due the low price.

The hotel exceeded our expectations for the price. The bar and dining attendants were exceptional, friendly, and super efficient. The evening food was delicious, priced very reasonably considering the quality and taste, breakfast offers everything you would.desire for breakfast again served by a very freindly welcoming member of the ferraris team. The rooms are traditionally furnished keeping with the year and style to the age of the house, with comfortable mattresses and quality Egyptian cotton bed linens, however our bathroom could benefit from an upgrade but this would not stop us booking again and would definitely return. Our 2 dugs were made very welcome and with beautiful walks and opportunities to meander around the walled garden was pure joy - the grounds of the house are beautifully decorated with flowers,shrubs and trees -loved the reference to the family name and ferrari including the equestrian decos.would recommend and definitely book again. The town is a lovely visit too.

Just the dated bathroom / sanitary ware but everything worked and that's all that matters really. Would stay again and definitely recommend 👌

The hotel has one of the nicest gardens I have ever seen. The pub - I could take my dog with me - was nice food, a little bit old like the rest of the hotel. But this is what I loved. Nice room, good bed - the bathroom could need a little make over. I loved the furniture in the room and it was absolutely cosy. The room itself overlooking the little bridge was a little warm - but there was a fantastic working air cooler - so absolutely fine. Lovely staff - from reception to the waiters. I felt absolutely well and would love to return.

Unfortunately only a blanket and no duvet. The TV was a bit small for the huge size of the room. But all this really no big deal. It is a lovely lovely location!

I phoned to say that I'm not going to make it at the estimated time as was stuck in traffic for over 2 hours additionally. Owner waited for me to arrive, welcomed me with a smile and showed me around and then to my room. On the phone before asked if i wanted something from the restaurant as they'd have put it away for me! Room was big, bed was comfy. Lots of parking space as well. I asked for a kid sized breakfast next morning as I'm not a breakfast person but didn't want to leave without eating as still had a few hours drive to do. Got more than plenty even this way. My dog was very welcome too, and the gardens were fabulous to walk around, very beautiful. I left with a huge smile on my face and already booked it for another stay when driving across the country!

I was visiting the area for a family funeral. As I was traveling by myself I was looking for a smaller family run hotel where I could feel safe and comfortable. What an exceptional find. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful grounds Friendly, attentive staff Great value for money Lovely food I would most certainly stay again and have even considered making a special trip to stay at Ferraris with my family. Keep up the good work!

I would have preferred to have a full curtain at the bathroom window and not just a net. I didn't feel I could take a shower at night for fear of being seen!!

Excellent dinner and large bar area. Breakfast was also good and part of the price. staff were very helpful as the first room was on the ground floor and looking straight onto the car park. Soon sorted and very happy with help. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Difficult to fault but I suppose the only thing is that it is not very near other facilities. Pubs etc. But with in-house bar and restaurant are good this did not matter.
