Beautiful brand new hotel in the heart of pedestrian Liverpool. Very comfortable bed, coffee and croissants for breakfast, nice staff. But note, it also smelled new and you cannot open the windows. Still we would certainly consider staying here again mostly because everything you want to see is right out the door or a short walk.

It is in pedestrian area so you can’t get dropped off right in front. But, it’s not too far to wheel your bags in. We had to sort our own taxi to the train station which required a bit more walk but still reasonable.

This is a new hotel so the quality of our room and reception/lounge area was fantastic. The location was excellent, right in the town center and near to both Central and Lime Street stations. There are a couple of lovely cocktails bars on school lane itself, and the hotel is within walking distance of amazing restaurants (including those on Bold street), shops and Albert Dock. The complimentary pastry and hot drink each morning for a lovely touch! Would definitely return to this hotel when staying in Liverpool!

A VERY small point, but they didn't refill our toiletries one day. A quick call to reception resolved this straight away

Clean clean clean (yay!), spotless, wood flooring, high ceilings, Hansgrohe taps and fittings in bathroom, great thoughtful design throughout.... screams quality and designed for contemporary hotel staycations! So glad they did not opt for the disgusting dirt and grime attracting carpet most hotels go for; super friendly staff. Amazing location for centre of city to access main shipping district.

no brekky aside from warm croissants and coffee/tea; building opposite has fire exit where there some unfortunate homeless people sleeping rough in that alcove space - not their fault of course - but some families staying here might be more weary esp when it gets dark. Toilet sink needs a dish to contain the soap. Don't expect to have a view to write home about.

The property was in a great central location which was in the perfect location for the docks, shopping or for an evening meal and drinks. The reception is open 24/7 and the staff are exceptionally welcoming and very helpful. In the reception/breakfast area there are a variety of hot croissants and hot drinks to choose from in a morning. The hot drinks are also available to use throughout the day should you wish to take one away with you for your exploring. Prior to arriving to the hotel the staff were very helpful calling to check our arrival times for check in and if we had any questions, providing us with a discount code for a close car park. I also had a special request as it was my partners 30th birthday. They were very accommodating with this and said that they would put any decorations up in the room ahead of us arriving and to either drop these off or post these (due to not living in Liverpool). I cannot recommend this hotel enough, we will definitely be back.

Everything, the location is just a few meters from the shopping centre and restaurants. Walk to the Albert Docks is just 10 minutes (walking in a very high heels). Went to LVP for our daughter Uni graduation and apart from the Graduation at the Philharmonic Hall, which was amazing, we have had an amazing time at the hotel. The staff was exceedingly helpful, nothing we could ask for was too much or enough. We could extend our check out time paid by the hour and then our bags were stored up until we could come and collect them. Absolutely five star and the mattresses they have are heaven (were for us as we both suffer from a bad back). Very modern and spacious rooms, clean and at standard that any fussy person would easily settle there for more than a night. There is no breakfast but a wonderful and complimentary selection of croissants to choose from and several hot drinks to set everyone for the day. Overall so very happy that we have stayed at this hotel, fab value for money and well recommended!!! 10 stars based on our experience 👍

Nothing, all was as it should be for the price paid.

The hotel is fab. It’s brand new and you can definitely tell. Everything is crisp and has a new smell to it. Check in - really quick and efficient. Super friendly member of staff, I didn’t get his name unfortunately. The room - finding our room was easy enough. We were on the 5th floor so jumped in the lift and headed up. When we walked in, we immediately noticed how massive the bed was, I’m talking bigger than my king size at home. It appeared to be twin beds joined but you couldn’t feel the join at all. The duvet and pillows were super fluffy, and pristine white, not a mark on them. The room itself was an excellent size and came with an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. The TV wasn’t working properly when we tried to watch it but my husband did the good old ‘unplug and plug it back in again’ and then it worked perfectly. The bathroom was a good size and everything was high quality. There was a cleansing bar on the sink for hand washing, as well as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The towels were bright white and looked brand new. Anything else - when I booked this hotel it stated that breakfast wasn’t included, however, they do put on pastries and coffee in the lobby for guests, there was croissants and pain au chocolate available. There was a also a coffee machine offering a wide variety of coffees as well as mocha and hot chocolate, I’m not a coffee drinker so this made my day, until I realised they weren’t working so I was a bit disappointed but it’s nothing major.

My only negative was we struggled to find the hotel, we used google maps and ending up turning the wrong way on school lane, the fact it was raining didn’t help. We got there in the end although there is only small signs so if you’re looking, it’s above hotel chcolat, go down the side and the doors right there.

There is little to dislike about the School Lane hotel, centrally located in Liverpool. It is exceptionally clean, and the staff are professional and very helpful, with a reception desk staffed 24 hours a day. Though there is no onsite restaurant, tea, coffee and assorted pastries are complementary in the sizeable reception lounge at breakfast time. Rooms are comfortable, well appointed and airy with usual facilities and well sized bathrooms. Highly recommended.

It is not the cheapest place to stay but you'll find the higher cost is well worth it.

The hotel was really modern and new. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and everything was crisp and fresh. Bathroom and shower top class. Lovely tea tray with tea, coffee bags and delicious biscuits! Reception staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, right in the centre of town. Really loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Maybe just a clearer sign on the hotel. It is slightly hard to find as there is no sign on the outside of the building at all.

Location, staff, everything looked new.

late check out only until 1pm some of the finishes are very poor. Everything was new, but little attention to detail. In room 606 there was a lot of silicone missing (like furniture against walls, under the right bedside table or at the shelf above the toilet). Also there was a hole in the grout just above the shower tray - I think fixing it might be a good idea, as the water leaking into the hole can create serious problems!

It has a great location, with a lot of shops and close to restaurants! And so the main attractions walking distance!! The rooms are big and bed is super nice. Decoration is stylish. Staff at the reception was so nice and helpful for the check in and check out very smooth. The hotel offers a complementary coffee, tea & croissants in the mornings which is great detail. Is a hotel pet friendly our kitty cat loved it and so us.
