Breakfast was lovely and the owners were very friendly and helped us settled in and feel comfortable. We loved to chat to them in the morning over breakfast, which was very yummy. We appreciated that this was there home we were staying in but the the place is setup very well for guests.

There was some confusion about kids being allowed in the room we had booked. Nothing was obvious to me whilst making the booking so it came as a bit of a shock there would be any sort of issue. There are other rooms that families are welcome in but thankfully our kids behaved and there was no issue. The place has a very relaxed grown up feel so not somewhere interesting for young ones but lovely for country get aways or stop overs whilst traveling.

Owners were really lovely and had two beautiful dogs. Great location to break our journey down to Cornwall from North Yorkshire. We were upgraded from a family room to a cottage. The cottage was all ground floor so perfect for families with young kids, dogs or anyone with reduced mobility. The owner showed us a nice circular walk into the village which was only a 10-15 min walk and had a couple of pubs and a shop. Friendly locals. Nice and quiet. Good shower and comfortable bed.

Not a lot. Duvets were heavy for the time of year but we are hot sleepers.

Carmen & Steve spoil you rotten. The breakfast was fabulous, all the ingredient were sourced locally and the room was very comfortable with everything you need. Anything needed they would provide, If you want a quiet location with 2 pubs nearby and a restaurant in the next village this is the place. Plenty of places to visit nearby and easy to get to.

I can not think of anything that I didn't like. after a busy day at The Healing weekend it was so nice to get back to peace and quiet and a comfortable room.

No breakfast was included with our room (The Annex) . Good kitchen facilities were provided, though, so we would have had no problem making our own had we wished to. The Annex would be a very good jumping off point for exploring the levels and is an easy walk to Mark where food is available at the White Horse, the Village Shop and the Old Spot bakery should one not wish to self cater. Worth noting that the Old Spot bakery is open on a Sunday morning for (very nice) croissants and coffee

The wifi instructions in the handbook were out of date, had we been staying longer we would have asked for updated details as the mobile broadband (at least for Vodafone) is rather patchy round there

We stayed in one of the cottages for two nights with our 3 children, chosen as a base to explore Cheddar Gorge and caves. So pleased we chose this location in Mark because it’s just so pretty, lots of lush farmland surrounded by endless canals, cows, sheep and swans. Our cottage opened up onto a small garden area which is backed by a stable and we were happy to find our neighbours (a donkey named Colin and a pony named Titch) were friendly and pleasant company. The drive to Cheddar took around 25 minutes, passing through green countryside. We booked a pub (The Duck) in the neighbouring village of Burtle for dinner and had a delicious meal. The pub offered good vegetarian and kids’ options as well as the usual gastro pub fare. The Old Spot bakery in Mark was a good stop off for breakfast (cinnamon rolls, croissants, sourdough bread). Thoroughly enjoyed our short break and hope to visit again.

Good parking, quiet area, easy to find. Room was warm and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. Large bathroom with bath and separate shower down the corridor, nice towels and shower gel, lovely view over the garden from the bedroom. Hairdryer available to use. Comfortable bed, TV, sink with mirror in the room. Friendly owners.

Booking.com wanted £19 extra for breakfast included. I was going to a friends for brunch so not overly required anyway, however this seems a little expensive? (Possibly a mistake?).

Lovely peaceful location within a short distance of places of interest, pubs and the beach. the owners, Carmen and Steve, were extremely welcoming, helpful and willing to assist with anything needed. The bungalow was comfortable and airy with a nice private outside space to relax in and the kitchen was well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

The WiFi connection would drop off at times despite the booster box.

We loved it here, best bits - hosts Carmen & Steve who provided a geniune welcome to us and our labrador Hugo to their delightful home, keeping us laughing through very good full English (with homemade plum jam) in the morning, and the proximity of the White Horse Inn down the country lane which made for such bucolic loveliness on the moonlit return home walking alongside the Mark Yeo and contributory rhynes we were inspired into singing Neil Young's Harvest Moon. PS. It was actually a Sturgeon moon we found out later and unfortunately nothing was thrown at us and we were perfectly ok in the morning.

Nothing it is perfect - don't go changing!

Great location. Comfortable beds. Clean property. Cottage has good layout. No wardrobes but some poles attached to wall with hangers for clothes.

Having to take our own towels, and no washing machine made it difficult for me with trips to beach etc the towels need washing daily! Was my fault I hasn't checked if there was a washing machine. I assumed there would be as never been to a cottage before that is without a washing machine included, i ended up having to buy extra towels (on top of the ones we took with) and clothes.......
