This was my third stay at Camelot Retreat and was given a very warm welcome by Evelyn the Manager who was attentive and friendly with a wealth of spirituality and kindness. The meditation room, crystals and devotional items certainly contribute to the flow of energies throughout the house. Spent a night in the Egyptian Room which was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast room is light and airy and is overlooked by The Tor towering it’s presence in the distance. there was a good selection of self serve food available to eat for breakfast some of which I cooked in the communal kitchen. There is a separate guests fridge to store personal snacks or items to prepare your own evening meal should you wish. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and tea and coffee available at all times. Perhaps a microwave oven would be a beneficial addition however. Hope to be back again soon. Thank you!

Camelot Retreat is a fantastic hidden gem in Glastonbury. Hidden away but in such a location where everything in Glastonbury is withing walking distance. There is a little path that goes streight to the road where Chalice Wells and the Tor are. The property is full of character and has a lovely feel about it. The set up as it is; being based on a retreat style stay is a perfect compliment to your stay in Glastonbury as Glastonbury is such a spiritual space whereyou need to tune into to get the most out of it. Breakfast is basic but everything you would need is there for you to help yourself to. The homley feel is nice as you can talk with the fantastic aray of guests around the breakfast table, and the host was very welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Friendly warm welcome by Sam the Manager. Very nice lady. Being able to use the kitchen at any time. Nice clean and tidy bedroom. Clean throughout. Access to TV downstairs. View of Tor from Merlin bedroom window. Heating is effective, but it may be a good idea to turn it on an hour earlier at this time of year. Despite giving this accommodation only an 8 rating this time, I am likely to book in again, choosing a room that is further away from the bathroom. I did enjoy my stay here and will be more aware next time. Also, the guests were all very nice and friendly. It was definitely a nice place to stay.

Although there is food in the fridge and cupboards, you have to get your own breakfast. Tea/coffee facilities are in the kitchen. Very noisy at night due to 4 bedrooms surrounding one bathroom. Can hear people in bedrooms walking around, light switches, pretty much everything. Second bathroom is by the front door, but due to the distance from the bedrooms, people mainly use it for the toilet due to privacy. Can't lock bedroom doors whilst in bathroom or out for the day. Therefore, have to take all valuables with you.

The whole house is let and you get a separate room in it with a shared bathroom. There is another shower downstairs. There is a beautiful meditation room with lots of amazing crystals there which you can use. There was a nice little dining room and you help yourself to breakfast. The host was very nice and left a note for me on the door and I let myself in as she was giving someone a massage. She also does other treatments I think. It's only a 15 minutes walk from the Tor, which you can see from nearby, so I got up early and went up there for sunrise. It's a quiet modern close. Walk into town - I didn't discover the footpath to town if there was one and it is easier to go by car. Probably 15-20 mins walk if you go around the edge of the town which I did. My bedroom looked over the medium sized garden and trees beyond which has no end of gnomes and fairies in it! I like the fact it is a "spiritual house' and no shoes are allowed inside and it's veggie only. The other guests were two fairies, going to the Fairies ball, and a psychic, which seemed fitting in Glasto!

The furniture was a little sparse not much in the way of tea making facilities in the room. Having said that there was a kitchen downstairs which had a good supply of tea etc. The actual owner was away in Europe and there is a lady who hosts and lives downstairs in an annex it seems.

It was a spiritual place and my room had a great view of the Tor. I loved the meditation room. The breakfast available offered a great variety. It was brilliantly close to the Chalice Well Garden and I was there to attend a companions of the CWG so very convenient. If I had had a car it would be good since there was parking in that area.

I don't like sharing a bathroom but it was clean and nice though. It was good having breakfast but quite a few people trying to get their own food.

Lovely and spiritual house. Very comfortable bed, slept like a baby.. Peaceful and relaxing. There's also a meditation room. Sam was very helpful, she made our check-in very smooth.. Great communication before arrival and after. It was just one night stay and we enjoyed it..

We're not used to sharing bathroom, so this was new to us; however the bathroom was very clean and no issues when needed to use it. Plus there was another bathroom with shower and toilet downstairs.. Breakfast was a "help yourself". Cereals, yogurt, baked beans, egss and juices were provided..

If you go to Glastonbury it's for a reason. Everything within the home was great, very clean, and filled my needs. What was exceptional was the housekeeper Sam. She was there for all the guests with a kind word and smile. Very friendly and very helpful. Beautiful Soul. I travelled on my own and was made to feel welcome and safe. The meditation room had so much beautiful energy I could have stayed in it forever. I didn't want to leave. And I met beautiful people with like minds.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Perfect walkable location for the beginning of my retreat week in Glastonbury. Other guests were quiet and respectful. The meditation room was a lovely respite at day's end. The Abbey Farm Cafe is a wonderful resource a short walk up the hill or prepare your own breakfast at Camelot with organic produce and fresh eggs. The house manager was gracious and helpful.

Sound travels between the rooms so it is good that it is a quiet group. There was only instant coffee available, but I am used to strong English tea as a good alternative.

Everything is spotlessly clean and facilities are well appointed, Sam is a wonderful lady and I always feel very welcome there, it's like a home from home. I was also upgraded on this visit which was a lovely surprise.

There's very little not to like, I know that some people prefer not to share facilities like bathroom and showers, but I am quite happy to do so in super clean places like Camelot Retreat, which is also very budget friendly too.

The location is fantastic for everything that we wanted to do/see in Glastonbury, with a lovely view of the Tor from the house. The place was spotlessly clean, and the hosts are so welcoming and friendly, as were the other guests. We had an amazingly good sleep every night as the place was so peaceful and comfortable. We were able to cook our own veggie food in the kitchen, which we did one night to save eating out and which was very much appreciated. The range of items provided for the self-catering breakfast is also very extensive and covers everything that you could want. Overall a real find in Glastonbury and extremely affordable without compromising quality! =)
