Fabulous location. Very relaxing and quiet. The rooms are tastefully decorated to reflect the age of the building. Nice grounds to walk around and views.

We were unaware that they only take card payments - except for gratuities! (surprisingly!!!) I had pre paid on my card for the room and we had taken cash for food and drinks, and tipping. I understand that during covid this was an acceptable option, however, I refuse to be dictated to on how I choose to use MY money to pay for things. This was debated with other guests and we ALL felt the same. I understand there is then an issue of banking money, but this, I am sure, is offset by the card transaction fees! All financial advisors recommend using cash during financially difficult times, such as NOW! so people can withdraw their weekly budget, spending money rather than flashing a card around with no ongoing tally of their spend. Recommended by Martin Lewis !!!

Very comfortable, clean room and excellent food. Freshly cooked breakfast and the evening meal was superb. Great location for exploring the Cotswolds and the area around Evesham.

On arrival we were told that the restaurant was full and that it wasn't possible to book a table. The staff however were very helpful and arranged for us to have dinner in the lounge area. It would be very helpful in future to include, in the booking process, a note to give guests the option to book a table inn the restaurant at the time of booking. It would be a great shame, after a long journey to a very nice hotel, to have to go out to find somewhere else for dinner.

Nice old building. Good breakfast. Good parking. Good location, but not within walking distance of town. Lovely gardens.

Asked for a quiet room but next to the electric plant room, so constant buzz all night. No electric sockets at bedsides.

Staff on reception extremely pleasant and helpful. Had booked a twin room but discovered it had been made up as a double - this was remedied immediately. Beds were extremely comfortable and the most comfortable hotel pillow I have ever had across three continents! Breakfast was copious and first rate, included both cold and hot dishes, and perfectly cooked eggs royale. The decor in the main rooms was beautiful, the mews a very attractive building, and the gardens well planted and well cared for: combined with the views, a visual delight.

Had been told bar snacks available until 9 pm but on arriving in the bar at 8pm we were informed in an extremely offhand manner by the bar staff that bar snacks stopped being served at 4pm!!!!! although we could order something from the (much more expensive) restaurant menu if we liked. We did so and the food was delicious but we had already had a birthday lunch elsewhere and would have much preferred one of the items from the bar snacks menu.

The Wood Norton is a beautiful hotel with a stunning view very close to the Cotswolds. As a BBC training venue it has a great bar. The terraces with beautiful gardens are great. The house itself looks very good too. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They are also quite young and some of them being trained. What they lack in experience has to be made up by being helpful and cheery.

The main building although historic, looks very good on the inside. The bar area is very nice. there are a lot of rooms in a separate building. These are spacy but a bit outdated. A small investments in better lamps would help. Also a fan on hot days would be helpful as there is no airconditioning. The bathroom could use an update as well.

Beautiful Old Mansion once owned by the French Nobility, we stayed in an annex which was newer extremely nice room and bathroom We attended a small weddings which was in the old building a lovely setting over looking the stunning garden with extensive views across the vale Everything was run like clockwork that made the occasion very special The food was delicious, the staff professional and very helpful, the breakfast was excellent We had a problem with our car tyre and a pothole on the way and had to wait for Quick fit on the day we left and we were allowed to keep our room for the morning for free very helpful in the circumstances Can’t recommend this hotel more highly All the staff great but Paige was wonderful

The bed and pillows were a little hard for our taste and I had explained we needed a walk in shower as my husband is slightly disabled but unfortunately none was available and we were on the third floor with no lift But the staff were very helpful and carried our luggage up for us. Big thanks to Annika from reception

We both amazed that we could afford to stay somewhere like what you offered . I truly am so impressed and still we are talking about the whole experience. I have recently gone through a bereavement and needed a break away from home and when the local premier inn had no room I panicked thinking where we were going to stay .I looked on booking .com and wood Norton came up I just booked it , seriously we thought we’d made a big mistake and nearly drove away . All I can say is thank you all the whole experience was fabulous and really it was just what was needed, the only problem was driving away that was hard . Bev Giles

Nothing …..an amazing stay were so grateful

Really lovely room and bathroom. Very clean & comfortable. Helpful staff, overall a very pleasant stay.

Better signage to the Pear Tree site would be good. I spoke with other travellers who also got lost, and having to carry bags up and down the hill is difficult when you don't know where you're going. I also went through a fire exit to get into the building. Never found the main front door -no idea if there was even a front door because there were no signs. There were no accessible plug by the bed so I could not work in bed or charge my phone. The lamp plugs were round? Not the standard UK plug which was strange and inconvenient.

The Wood Norton is a splendid Tudor manor house with beautiful surrounding gardens and annexes. Everything is very well kept and clean. The main building is oak paneled everywhere and give a wonderful glimpse of the lifestyle of English aristocracy by the turning of the XIXth century. Rooms in the annexes are less sumptuous but still excellent and cozy.

Traditional breakfast was generously served in a superb garden-looking room, but somehow slow to appear.

The staff are always going above and beyond, and the hotel never fails to impress. Lovely and clean and a great value for money. It's always a good couple getaway. I'd recommend staying here more so in the summer so you can really see how amazing the grounds are.

We stayed specifically for the Christmas meal, which was £145 pp, which both my partner and I felt a little lack lustre. We have been the year previously, and everything exceeded our expectations then. This time, everything felt more rushed, and certain members of staff were getting agitated with each other, which was a shame. The buffet at the end of the day was better than the 6 course menu, in our opinion. Portion sizes were very small, and while we understood its 6 courses, even the main was smaller than expected.
