Chang Pai Resort

The bungalow is simple and cute. You have a hammock surrounded by green. The location is away from town, so you can actually sit outside and have some peace. The bungalow is also almost all windows, so it’s very lovely in the day. I actually really liked the location away from town, it’s about at 15 min walk to town and the walk is nice. They also offer a tuktuk for 50 baht to take you to or pick you up from town, but it stops around 9pm.

Well at night it is COLD. I was here late January, the day is 30 degrees and the night and morning is 12. The bungalow becomes freezing. You can see some of outside while you are inside, for example I could see some of the ground below me through the floorboards, so of course it gets very cold. I even had to make hot water bottles at night. They do provide you with thick blankets for sleep which helps. The thing is it was so nice during the day, I would maybe even stay here again knowing this. During the day I kept the windows open to let the hot air in and then right when it got dark I closed everything, this helped a bit.

The location, all be it a long way from anything is fantastic with the views etc. The pool was freezing but enjoyable. Able to book tours through them. Free shuttle to bus station Fridge freezer in the room. 2 free bottles a day. View from the restaurant The young man in the restaurant is the most hard working guy there and is very helpful. Cream cheese ice cream is insanely good!

By far the worst thing about this place has to be the mattresses, unfortunately... they are so so hard... I like hard mattress but this is like sleeping on concrete its that uncomfortable. So far away from any shops. The sunbeds mattresses were filthy and broken. Bamboo tubing under the sink had come off making the sink very loose. 2 out of 3 lights out. The restaurant, due to its location and being the only one for a five minute walk is quite expensive and shuts at 9pm so can't get anything after this time. Staff all be it help if asked there's no warmth or familiarity with customers. Windows don't shut completely so sometimes let's in a lot of mosquitoes and I had a few lizards in with me but I guess it's expected for the location.

the pool was great, beautiful & intricate landscaping and nature. loved that our room had floor to ceiling windows on 3 walls. there was a little seating area with cushions on our deck, facing out into the nature. the man at the front desk was amazing, he took me to the bus station in Pai at a moments notice for free in a cool motorbike Tuk Tuk (I tipped him because he was so kind).

it is up a big hill, a little scary if you’re not used to the motorbike. cars can’t come up there so if your taxi drops you off at the bottom you will have to carry all your bags. it is not too far though. We’re young anyways.

I loved the surroundings and being in the mountains. I loved the view from the cafe on property and I enjoyed the pool.

My cabin/hut was very cute, lots of windows nice view but it could def use some work. There was a hole in the bathroom and I had a mouse in my room. There were no chairs or anything to sit on on my deck, it would have been nice to sit out there. It looks like there used to be a hammock on the deck and other huts had hammocks. Lastly maybe invest in some pool cushions for the lounge chairs. A few of them had large burns in them and were unusable. The walk to town was at least 20 minutes, not too bad but it was a busy road.

It's quite far from the walking street, but 3 minutes with scooter which is a must in Pai. Lovely, totally green environment, nice pool and restaurant with an amazing view. Kind staff.

On the weekend the noise of the parties spread around and at 11pm it was still loud. (On the weekdays it was quiet) A small wardrobe in the room and a small bathroom cabinet would be nice

Loved the quiet location, really felt like we were in the jungle in a secluded little bungalow. The room was very clean and we even got fresh towels and 2 more water bottles the second day. The staff was super friendly and just a great value.

Sure the property could use some upgrades/ tidying up but if you’re looking for a beautiful place to stay, immersed in nature and with a nice pool then this is it.

Beautiful views, you can open all the blinds and get a 360 degree view of nature from your bed! Just remember to close them after :) Bathroom a good size, similar in style to a wet room. Pool was a lovely bonus. Great value for money overall

Not a problem for us, but I would say moto hire is essential here. I wouldn't fancy doing that hill every day :) Again, not a problem for us but no breakfast service here (I'd recommend Cafe Om!)

It's a lovely place to stay! The pool is very refreshing. The food was excellent quility and taste, they also had an amazing selection of ice cream mmm It's a good 20-minute walk to Bar Street and walking street. They do have scooters to rent. Overall, I would highly recommend it. I wanted to extend my stay there further, but they were fully booked.

Only negatives were that my air conditioning didn't work, and the huts have zero soundproofing.

Nice swimming pool. The epic view from their cafe above the pool. Good WiFi, large bed, cute bungalow in the jungle.

Sunbeds were really old and dirty as well as pool umbrellas are falling apart. Need replacing really. Our hammock / balcony looked worn and a bit dangerous to use. Kettle in the room but no mugs?

rooms are beautiful with the big windows that sees the garden you can feel like you wake up in the nature. in Thailand it is the first time during our stay they cleaned our room changed sheets and towels that was nice

rooms are not like in the picture imagine them a bit old, the location is really far away from the center and the road is not good for walking. should have taxi or motorbike
