Phanom Bencha Mountain Resort

Beautiful quiet location with an exceptional restaurant, spacious and clean accomodation, and pleasant, responsive hosts. The food is really good and sourced primarily from the resort’s own garden. There are many pleasant walks through the hills, as well as a natural jungle pool to cool off in. The property is very well maintained and gardened, you can tell that the family that owns and runs Phanom Bencha really cares.

There wasn’t much to complain about, there were even almost no mosquitos in the region around the bungalow we stayed in. We stayed two weeks and only didn’t like that we couldn’t stay longer!!!

Great location in the national.park. Very calm and really nicely entertained gardens and comfortable bungalows. You wake up with the sounds of the jungle and see all kind of flowers and fruit trees around. Son and his family were really nice and helped with all we needed, including booking a car with driver for a daily trip. The restaurant is in a nice setting with reasonable prices and big portions (you may try also the desert - bananas in coconut milk which kids adored;) personally I also appreciate the fact that the wifi is only at the reception so namely teenagers get disconnected for a moment;) The bungalows are simple but big and comfortable, with big terrace from where you can enjoy the surrounding nature.

All was great, you shall only consider it is quite remote location, nothing around. The bathroom is bit older and usual as in this type of accomodation in Thailand meaning that the shower is not separated from the rest, but we got used to it.

it was located in the jungle in a beautiful setting, best nature reserve that I have ever stayed at! The owners are amazing, couldn’t of been anymore accommodating they make you feel like family :) I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to escape the beaches and reconnect with nature in a beautiful resort. The food was absolutely delicious, best food I’ve tried in Thailand so far! TRY THE STEAK AND THE RICE BALLS! Thank you for having me, I will be back!!!

there’s nothing at all that I didn’t like!!

Amazing place, Very quiet and great wildlife view, The rooms are clean and equipped with a mosquito net, The owners were so nice and helped us with everything we needed, they have a restaurant with a wide variety of foods to choose from, They even have a beautiful natural pool that you can swim in! Overall an awesome place.

There was a big spider in our room but it was not a problem since most of the insects there are harmless, we told The owner of the place - Son and he immediately came to capture it.

Son and his family make you feel part of their family. Speaks great English, great company, we spent long time talking in the evening, and his wife cooks amazing food. Fresh organic ingredients grown in his own garden. I wish we had more time to spend with them, but our time here is very limited. I recommend staying here as soon as you get to Krabi, get a bit of tan before you’re ready to spend whole days on the beach elsewhere. Bungalows are immersed in nature, I slept like I haven’t in a really long time. total relaxation for very reasonable price.

unfortunately since the pandemic they didn't have many customers, so the swimming pool isn't operational. A bit of a shame, because it looks very nice and I would have used it every day. accommodation is basic, don't expect a jacuzzi. not much to do except walking in nature if you are bothered by animals, this place isn't for you. there are frogs, geckos, crickets everywhere.

The remoteness and wilderness. Beautiful river going through the property with astonish natural pool in the middle of the jungle with breathtaking view over the mountain. If you like the nature and everything that goes with it don't miss this place. Family run business, exceptionally friendly people, super good food and cheap considering the remoteness. We felt like at home.

It was a really nice stay, the owner and his wife are very friendly and welcoming, the food is excellent! Keep in mind, that it's located in the middle of the jungle, very peacefully but also a lot of insects, great if you like nature, better not go if you're afraid :) The pool has a stunning view although it's not in the best condition anymore. The bungalows are very simple and have probably also seen better days but considering the price, food and most of all the people I would definitely recommend staying there!!!

Wonderful view, jungle, people, food! Everything is great! If you want to take a break from noisy cities, enjoy nature, stay in a friendly, family atmosphere - you should definitely come to this place, to the amazing Son and Chop!
