Mantra Samui Resort - SHA Extra Plus

Amazing property on a mountain, great views, beautiful and clean rooms for a great price. We loved it here, felt like a 5* property.

It was at the top of a mountain, so taking taxis/grabs from the resort came to roughly 440 Baht per trip up/down. Be aware of those additional prices.

Absolutely everything! The hotel staff were the most helpful, at reception, the restaurant and housekeeping and welcomed us the whole time and took really good care of us, particularly Mod who was really friendly and gave us the best recommendations. The hotel itself was also absolutely beautiful - our room and view of the sea was certainly worth it. The pool is also stunning. The location was also in the best part of Koh Samui; near Bophut beach and the Fisherman’s Village which is lovely at night. It was also about 20 mins away from Chaweng beach which was also incredible. We went to the other parts of the island but the location of this hotel is definitely the best of them all. It is on a steep hill (best for the view of the sea) but it’s easy to get around on a scooter once you get used to it. The staff took us up to our room in the buggy from the hotel reception so we never really had to do the steep hike! Overall, 100/10 and would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again in the future

We were worried about going up and down from the hotel on the scooter but it was fine in the end - don’t panic! Absolutely nothing to dislike about this place

We loved the beautiful views and the breakfast was great

The gym was so old. It says ‘state of the art’ gym on description but it is very very dated. The hills are super steep so it’s a lot of exercise.

We came here on October and as it is a rainy season everything was so calm and staff could pay more attention to us which made it such an amazing experience, from warm welcome, easy check in, free shuttle up and downhill, stunning views, perfect lounge and pool area, restaurant, bar, lovely breakfast and everything else. Would recommend. Almost a perfect place to stay.

Hotel is located in a remote spot uphill around 1 km from the Village. But they offered a free shuttle back and forth and that's what it takes to enjoy as stunning views as this resort has. Gym and Spa areas were closed during our stay. Could be because of a some maintanance work. Anyway it was an amazing experience. If you cannot decide whether to stay or not.. let me help you - stay here!

The staff was very friendly. Luxury place. Pool is great with a view and salty water. Rooms "Love Ocean" were great, big and beautiful. Prices of restaurant, room service, and spa were pretty good. Lovely hotel.

Not enough options in breakfast, we expected a way better breakfast from this hotel. It is far away from everything- 20 mins drive to Chawang and costs a lot because of the hotel location on a mountain. Important to know- a lot of walking in the hotel from the room to reception or to pool or breakfast. Not an easy walk but doable. People in need should ask the reception for rides.

The view from our room was great and the room was huge and clean.

It’s a 45 minute walk up a steep hill to the hotel from the main road. Taxis are extra because of this.

everything was absolutely amazing. staff were fantastic- they couldn’t do enough to help. they sorted out all our day trips no problem, we phoned reception to hire a scooter & the scooter was outside within 10 minutes. nothing was too much for them. shout out to Mod she was super lovely & helpful. made our experience even better. thanks so much.

Very private, quiet and away from main roads/attractions but still easy to get around with taxis. The view was breathtaking - We loved dining, swimming and drinking cocktails overlooking the view of Samui.

The hotel is located quite high up in the hills with no street lights during night time. We feel it wasn’t safe to walk to get to the beach or local shops, as cars would be passing through due to no pedestrian walkway.

First days, i didnt like that the Hotel was located not near the sea (seems i didnt look good), and even wanted to check out....yet day by day of staying i really loved the peace, nature, pool, food, wow! Local staff is a bit not nice, yet they are trying hard. Breakfast was my concern again at the first date, as it was not open kitchen, yet that approach the owners took is excellent, you eat daily diffirent breakfast, so tasty! You have your breakfast and immideatly can move to roof top pool (mountain view) really recommend this hotel!

Staff is a bit sad...not motivated.

everything….the rooms, the pool and the breakfast were excellent. the staff was helpful and very service minded. it was very quiet and just what was needed for our vacation.

there is quite a long way down the hill to the main road and even longer to Fisherman’s village. There used to be a shuttle bus from the hotel, but that is cancelled due to COVID. that was a little disappointing, but does not change our overall experience which was excellent..
