Klong Jark Bungalow (SHA Certified)

This was our personal favourite during our stay in Thailand. We should have stayed there longer, as this was really the small piece of paradise we were looking for - the loveliest people, always smiling and helpful, and the animals they keep on the grounds created such a unique homelike atmosphere; we had a wonderful beach almost just for ourselves and you do not go anywhere to look for a restaurant as the one there serves delicious food. Also, you can book an ethical walk with elephants - Following Giants - which is just around the corner, or you can go to many snorkeling places from there (pick up organized by them). You can also visit Khlong Chak Waterfall in the jungle without booking any official tour. The bungalows are very basic if you are a person looking for luxurious accommodation, but who needs that on a beach like that? :) In a case that you don't drive a motorbike I would recommend to book transfer directly from them. It is cheaper than to hire a private taxi in Sala Dan Pier.

Nice resort with a semi-private beach, close to the National Park. Quiet, peaceful evenings where you can view a dark ocean (vs all the fishing boat lights in other areas). Room clean and well lit. Mattress very comfortable, like a Tempurpedic. Bedding smells good. Bathroom shower had hot water and drained through an open hole. I appreciated the stones next to it so it could be covered when not in use. Nice porch with a clothesline and comfy hammock. This is a resort among resorts with not much else around, so prices are naturally higher. Owner friendly, attentive, and helpful. If you need anything, just ask.

The ceiling & roof are made out of natural materials. There was a huge dark spot on the thatched ceiling that was unattractive. It looked like water damage and there was a bit of a musty smell in the room. Even so, I slept well the first night. The second night I was woken up by the sound of critters rustling around on the roof. I don’t know if beach towels were available. There wasn’t one in the room.

Very attractive, clean & comfortable bungalows on the beach - great location. Staff are super friendly and helpful - shout out to ‘Su’ for being a ray of sunshine (apologies if I’ve spelled your name wrong!). Hot shower was really good! Loved the mosquito nets on the bed. Kettle and hairdryer also much appreciated.

A small fridge in the bungalow would have made it the complete package. The restaurants on the beach are a bit expensive, including Klong Jark Bungalow’s, with great food for half the price found nearby. But I guess you’re paying for the lovely beachfront location!

kindness of owners and her family and cats. location right on the beach. grass lawn where to rest in the shade in the afternoon. chairs where to lie on the beach. even bar service in the beach / a true 5 star in a guesthouse/bungalow version. they tidied up the beach nicely during the day and evening. the quality of the food was very good. including the squid bbq. all in all excellent value for money and a place where I would return to.

I liked everything but certain travelers who are not used to basic amenities and basic rooms/bathrooms need to be aware of where they are going to. but let’s be clear / there is all you need , and it is all very clean.

Klong Jark Bungalows is a great place to stay for us as a family but equally without kids. The beach has white sand and is calm an quiet. The restaurant offers great food, both Thai and Western style. And, most of all: the staff is so warm-hearted, welcoming and helpful. In the end we spent almost two weeks at Klong Jark Bungalows and could not recommend it more. Thank you for the great time with all of you!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Chill atmosphere, located just a few steps from a great beach. The entire area is well maintained and you can easily spend the entire day by the beach and the restaurant.

The rooms could really use an upgrade. Admittedly it's the kind of place where you'd get in the room just to sleep, but improving them would make staying there an absolute delight.

Location on the beach was beautiful. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Clean rooms and very relaxing. Great hammock on our terrace. Breakfast overall was good. Nice seeded bread.

restaurant meals tended to be served Luke warm at best. The food was nice but it just was fairly cold. We ate there 2 times in the evening and two lunches and it was the same each time.

Beautifull place direktly at the beach, and the "Khlong Jark Family" were amezing. They take care of everything for you, scooterrent and trips. If you want to stay there, you have to be quick, because lots of people also think the place is amazing. There are a restaurant at the place with good food

They could be better with coordinate serving in the restaurant, so it is possible to eat together.

The location is amazing right on a quiet beautiful beach. The food is some of the best I've had in Thailand, very clean tasty fresh and we presented dishes. The resort has a very special feeling that is very rare to come across these days, i think this is because the staff and owners and so welcoming and kind.

Absolutely beautiful area, clean beach, scenery great, food lovely, air conditioning work very well. Taxis available, day trips available, staff friendly and very helpful.

Bed was very hard, and only 2 plug points, no tea/ coffee sachets. Otherwise it was a stunning location and a great stay!!!
