Siam Bay Resort

Good breakfast. Nice beach and swimming pools. The rooms have a fridge and everything. There are 2 ac units in the family bungalow. In general it is really great.

Location is a plus: it's quiet, far away from the narrow streets of Kai bae. But, it is far away from the narrow streets of Kai bae. Depends on what you seek. Getting there via the beach is ok during low tide, but during the full moon you can only walk there when it's 6 pm without getting wet. There are taxis. But they are a nuisance as on almost every island we've been. They sometimes want 300 baht for a 3km ride ("it's in the mountains" they say). Yeah, mountains. Even if it was in the Himalayas, the price is steeper than the Nanga Parbat Rakhiot face...

We really wanted some time away from it all to relax and siam bay was perfect for that. It is a little out of the way but the restaurant, bar and facilities meant that we didn't need to go anywhere. the food was good and everything was reasonably priced. Very cute private beach front

Seaside bungalows on the beach with a magnificent sunset view! Enjoy, relax, soak in the sun, enjoy the pool, sleep in a comfortable bed, and repeat, a few snorkeling trips and a jungle trek, wow:) loved our stay. On sire restaurant is ok, but there are much nocer ones in the little city, 5 mins ride by scooter or 35mins walk by the beach.

The resort was very quiet and picturesque, and the view of the beach, ocean and surrounding islands and jungle was idyllic. The staff at the resort where amongst the friendliest and most accommodating I have encountered in all of my time with them Thailand. They always have a smile on your face. Greeted you with enthusiasm and warm this and we are ready to assist with your needs no matter what. The bungalows and villas were spacious well appointed and clean . The gardens and beach immaculately maintained and the food whilst Thai orientated did try to accommodate western guests Would I return to this resort, most definitely  I look forward to returning in the not too distant future

Best view hotel and setting. Staff very helpful. The best room is bungalow by the beach very nice view.

1. We stayed at bungalow by the beach. Every night there are some fruits or something hard with a loud bang drop on the roof a few times. People who are light sleeper will sure have problems wake up in the middle of the night. Fortunately we don’t have the problem. 2. Many lizard at night above the door to your room every night and outside. Cannot leave door open at any time otherwise any creepy crawlers can come in, eg millipede, worms ants, lizards that we‘ve seen in the room. 3. Be careful what type of room u choose as some room type are really run down. 4. Jam and butter are not the best of quality brand like Imperial and orchids. 5. Dining area is open plan breezy, for November but summer can be hot but got plenty of fan.

Our sea view bungalow was absolutely stunning. Comfortable bed, spacious separate dressing room and bathroom area with the most beautiful view, which we could look at for hours, either from the massive balcony or laying in bed. There were 2 great pools, the grounds were so well cared for with beautiful flowers everywhere, all situated on a stunning bay. There were paddle boards and kayaks to rent, so you could easily paddle to Lonely beach around the corner and to Ko Man Noi straight across from the resort. The location on Siam Bay is very beautiful and quiet but you can also walk around to Kai Bae beach at low tide, where there are loads of bars and restaurants to choose from when you feel like it. This was hands down our favourite room during our travels, and it was so reasonable as well.

Although the included breakfast and lunches we enjoyed here were good, we had a couple of disappointing dinners. There is also a pool bar that does lovely cocktails and drinks, but is very rarely open. It's a very chilled out, more family orientated resort, so as a couple we often went out to other areas if we wanted a bit more nightlife, which was something we enjoyed doing anyway. Staying here you can really enjoy the best of both worlds to be honest.

It is a very secluded location away from the busy part of town and down a long road to a private beach. It was absolutely what I was looking for. The buffet breakfast was also amazing. The beach was very shallow very far out into the sea, almost like a giant kiddy pool. Great for kids and relaxing.

The beds could be better. It's not nice when hotels push two twins together and sell it as a double bed. You can feel that crack down the center and it's annoying. Also, they really need to work on their room service. There is no phone so you have to walk to the restaurant to order room service, and they still charge you an extra 10%! Plus, they don't collect the dirty dishes. Every time I decided to eat dinner on my patio to look at the ocean, all of the left over food and dishes were still sitting there in the morning and I always had to remind the staff to clean it (again, what is that 10% charge for??? Windy nights blowing the food and trash all over place and attracting pests. You REALLY need to collect the room service dishes promptly. Very unprofessional.

The location was fabulous. The resort looked even better than in the marketing folder. The personnel is very friendly and helpful and always willing to accommodate the customers’ needs. The sea is shallow so better for kayaking and paddle boarding than for swimming. But the latter still doable. The temperature of the sea may not be that good for swimming though. It’s simply very warm. Hence the swimming pool on the site is spot on. The water is cooler. There is nice view over the sea and surrounding smaller islands. There are parts in the pool area where the trees assures nice shade. The food in the restaurant is versatile. I am an European but each day enjoyed local meals for breakfast. They were that tasty. Although you could enjoy your typical European food as well. In terms of other attraction you may count on the hotel personnel assistance. This was a quiet area which my family sought to.

Everything was great but the WiFi in the family bungalow. I used the one in the dining area when really needed. In the bungalows by the sea it worked fine.

We had sea view bungalow. Exceeded our expectations. Very spacious, well equipped with amazing ocean views from our bed Pools were clean and overlooked the ocean Staff were wonderful and arranged a 1day tour for us (3000 baht in a/c van for 6 hours)and all our transportation to koh kood for rates cheaper than in town Beautiful little beach. Very laid back vibe Private setting but only a 10 minute ride to town for 100 baht.

Intermittent wifi. Didn’t bother us but if you need reliable wifi 24/7 ….. If you have mobility issues accessing some of the sea view bungalows will pose issues. Lots of stairs/paths Pool chairs around upper pool need a refresh. Shade umbrellas would be great

We loved that it wasn't one of the big hotels on the main roads but a bit secluded and private. Super super friendly and helpful staff! The breakfast has everything you need from Thai food to fresh pancakes and fruits. The villa we stayed in was amazing (very clean, biiig bed and nice facilities), right above the pool with a stunning view you can enjoy on your private little terrace. We also booked our transfer back to Bangkok and a snorkeling tour at the hotel which was actually not more expensive than at a travel agency in town, which we thought at first.

Watch out for monkeys :D They sometimes crawl over your rooftop which can be really loud at night and we had a little visit on the terrace. They're not aggressive at all and we watched them quietly, just a little heads up.
