Klong Prao Resort - SHA Extra Plus

it was our 3rd stay at this place. location was good for us, area of the hotel is beautiful, own pond with fishes. good breakfast(Thai and european style)

some visitors left a plastic bag with garbage near sun bed on the beach, this bag was laying there for 2 days the staff didn’t pay any attention to it(no nice words to the visitors who let the plastic back, but the staff should monitor the beach time to time)

The beach is very nice, they clean it well. The hotel pool is also nice though I hope they clean it more often. Breakfast is okay. Variety of food but mostly vegetarian.

We are a family with a 2 year old toddler. The hotel don't have cups and plate for small children. The place where we had breakfast has a lot of flies. Like a lot. I hope the hotel would put more effort in trying to find a solution for that problem. They don't change bedsheets daily, even if you request it. The housekeeper said in the hotel they change sheets every other day. So you will need to stay for 3nights before they will change the sheets. If it is just 2nights you are not eligible. The hotel is a beach front so expect sand may get in your bed and ull need to sleep in it if your not very careful.

This resort was just great. Staff was very friendly and spoke english enough to help with anything we needed. Pool with a smim up bar was very nice. Breakfast was very good with a huge selection of anything except there was no yogurt. We had two of the beach villas and they were the best A4 and A5 with just the most beautiful view on the sea which was like 20 meters away. The villas are very comfy, equiped with everything you might need. WIFI was the best we experienced in Thailand. In most hotels it works like 50% and its not very dependable. Here it always worked. Villas were cleaned daily and also all towels including pool towels were changed every day, which was very nice. Our stay here was exactly what we expected and it was awesome. Thank you!

There was a lot of ants in the villas. We talked to the front office and they sanitized the villas about three times duruing our 9 day stay. It always helped but not for too long. It made our stay a little comfortable but it was not really the hotels fault and they did everything they could to prevent this. The worst about this resort was that about 50% may be more of the hotel guest were Russians. They are like a plague and you can see them anywhere you go in the resort or anywhere on the island. Again not the hotels fault but it was just disgusting to see these people enjoy a vacation on this beautiful island when their nation wages war on a peacefull independent country.

Lovely wide white sandy beach. Our room had a sea view with stunning sunsets each evening. Beds are comfortable. Good showers.The Rim Had Restaurant served up some great meals with reasonable prices. The Lakes Bar at the top of the driveway is owned by the hotel and there is live music most evenings, worth a short walk up the drive.

When we arrived at our room we were disappointed as it was very tired looking, the floor varnish was peeling. The room hadn't been clean properly before we arrived. The duvet cover that we had on our bed had rips in the corners. Having said all that the positives out weigh the negatives and we missed it when we moved on to the next hotel !

Reception and housekeeping staff were great. Good choice of Thai and western choices for breakfast, on-site restaurant was excellent but a very cold beer (without ice) is a rarity!

Staff in the breakfasting area need supervision as too many walking around and not really doing anything. Soft boiled eggs and hard boiled eggs were still raw. The lovely Thai lady “cooking” the eggs just had not been trained properly. Raw eggs are dangerous when consumed and make you very ill…… this is unacceptable. Anyone walking the beach can use the sunbeds, pool, restaurant etc., which meant some days there were some very rowdy people who had not paid to use the facilities but the rest of us had to put up with. Lack of very cold beers!

The breakfast selection was very rich and the territory is very nice. The attention of the cleaners was very nice - we put a "do not disturb" sign on the door, and the cleaners had nicely left both toilet paper and drinking water at the door. In addition, we received a lovely Christmas present from the hotel. You can admire amazing sunsets while sitting on beach chairs or in the restaurant.

There were loud concerts nearby that lasted until midnight on several days and the music (bass) was loud in the room (I understand that the hotel didn't do anything about it, but it ruined several nights). The lighting in the room is quite dark, there is a light next to the bed, but unfortunately it cannot be used for reading, as it is located inside the closet. The room could have a chair and/or night stand in addition - there is currently only one stool-like one in the room for two people.

The breakfast was very good with lots of Asian dishes as well as eggs to order + pastries & croissants. The room was spacious, however the air-conditioner was a little noisy on the balcony. The bathroom was also spacious with a full bath & shower. Very comfortable bed & robes & slippers were supplied The beach is sandy & good for swimming. The restaurant was good with a very good fire show @ 7.30pm every day

A little more attention to tidying up around the pool & edge of the beach needs raking daily. There were plastic bottles left around for days! The resort is a little isolated from shopping & restaurants, but easy enough to jump in a taxi on the roadside.

Resort is directly on a beautiful sandy beach. Very scenic and with warm water ideal for swimming. Resort is built around a lake so very picturesque. Nice, spacious room with all usual amenities including good shower with 'rainwater' head. Table and chairs on the outside veranda. Also provides bath robe and slippers. Very well equipped gym. Plenty of sun loungers available for guests. Excellent restaurant with very good food and reasonable prices. Restaurant staff very friendly and efficient. Buffet breakfast was excellent with a huge range of options.

Sun loungers are solid wood and incredibly heavy. Difficult to move in or out of shade. I couldn't get the treadmill to work in the gym and drinking fountain had no water. I am sure staff would fix if I had bothered to let them know. Reception staff are professional rather than the usual Thai friendly and helpful. Not a fault of the hotel but sandflies are present on the beach. Warning notice in reception. Not a problem ( for me ) unless you react to the bites ( my wife ) and they can become very itchy .

We had an amazing breakfast at the resort every morning. the facilities are above par and with a restaurant and convenience store on the property you have everything at your fingertips. there is an amazing fire show on the beach every evening, and you can only marvel at the expertise and showmanship of the fire wranglers. The pool is a delight, with a pool bar available and the beach is a step away. The long white beach is so nice to walk along and you never get tired of all the sights. there are numerous photo opportunities along the beach with swings, coconut palms, couples seats in a heart shape and much more. so much to see and do....

Nice resort with nice gardens and beautiful pool along a quiet beach with white sand. Different types of bungalows. We had a nice terrace near a lake. Very good buffet buffet breakfast with Asian and western food. Only after inquiring we found out we could rent a kayak. Nice rowing along the beach and on the nearby river.

There is hardly any furniture in the room to store baggage or clothes. Although breakfast is very good, we only had once dinner because the quality was low and prices relatively high. Very few restaurants near the resort. Only 2 little agencies for trips. One good seafood restaurant at 10 minutes walking. Little promotion of activities: only one trip (4 islands with snorkeling).
